The tech rushed me in, took my xrays so fast he dropped the equipment. He also told me the hygenist was finishing a cleaning and would be right in and I literally heard the hygenist saying right then "Hi, I'm going to be cleaning your teeth today" to a patient next door. Now I've been waiting for 40 minutes to get my teeth cleaned. This place is a cattle call. They stack their patients, keep you waiting, then gladly take your money. Oh, did I mention they already canceled on me twice for this current appointment, once literally the morning of my appointment when I had taken off work? Go elsewhere, you'll be glad you did. All I ever need is a cleaning. Last year, they upsold me on the fluoride treatment, but I hadn't had one in 30+ years, so fine. It was $25. Today, it was $69, and the receptionist just assumed I was getting it. The $69.00 is pre-printed on the form you have to sign, so this is a routine upsell for them. No way! My insurance (United, don't get me started on THEM!) has a really crappy selection of dental offices with lots of them being chains, so I randomly picked one close to me. The first time I went, all I needed was a cleaning, but they wouldn't even SCHEDULE a cleaning until I'd had an exam (which showed perfect teeth), of course, but wouldn't schedule them together and forced me to make a second trip for the actual cleaning. They didn't pull that crap on me again-whether from me being furious at them wasting my time the first time, or because I'm now an established patient, I honestly don't know. I scheduled cleanings, and I didn't have to waste my time with two trips after that. I only went back to them for 2 years after that because it was a pain to try to find a new place. I never have seen the same dentist twice since I've been going here, but admittedly they've all been competent and decent, and the hygienist was very nice. She deserves much more than one star, but this one star is for the office procedures. That said, I've been a patient for 2 years. Today I was supposed to be seen at 2pm. They called me in just as I was realized I needed a jacket for the arctic chill of their air conditioner. I asked them to give me 1 minute to go get my jacket out of the car right outside because it was downright freezing in the office. I came back less than a minute later, expecting to be called in, and a full 40 minutes later, was still sitting there. Little infuriates me more than wasting my time. They had called someone else in. If they were double booked, then were they intending to just let that other patient sit for 40 minutes while they saw me?? Even if that were the case, it is unacceptable.
