However, when we did go my wife got an abscess shortly after being worked on which I believe the doc here had to then refer her to someone else, which was a little unusual. Then about 6 months after my last cleaning with this dentist, went to a new dentist who found that one of my teeth was extremely bad and she said it was easy to see with the naked eye. The new dentist said a cavity like that had to have been growing for at least a year -- says it may have been salvageable at one point but very likely to need a root canal. So I'm just trying to caution that we had some issues here with things being missed that had some lasting effects ... and again, it's too bad because the doctor's bedside banner is awesome.

One, they don't use a different polish on veneers than on regular teeth (which my previous dentist did). Two, the tech who worked on my teeth was rough, especially on the gum line around my veneer. And three, while the office design was nice, the technology they used for the cleaning was a bit old-school (dated). I'm just used to a practice that uses newer forms of cleaning and polishing procedure. As I was private pay, the total was $250+, which is highway robbery for a simple cleaning. I go every few months, so my teeth are almost always never a problem. I was in and out in 30-40 minutes. The cost didn't come anywhere near equating to the experience. My search for a dentist in SA continues.

I already had received a call from the office staff asking if I wanted to schedule anymore work, I told them no. So I was not interested in speaking any further. He then private messaged me on yelp to discuss how a one star review effects their business. I explained my reasoning. I then asked to no longer be contacted. He messaged me still after that, and he went on to explain further why he thought my review was not fair, So I blocked him. Please read his message response that he has now publicly posted and take note that I was not sent to another dentist for a second opinion, but to an endodontics office. I always keep my reviews factual and fair in my assessment and opinions. I have gone back and changed reviews in the past after gaining more experience with certain services, fields and to correct typing errors and misinformation when I feel things should be adjusted or changed to be fair and honest. But this is not one of those occasions. I gave a fair review and even left my opinion posted from my in office experience. They want everyone to give a 5 star rating and instead of just apologizing for making the wrong diagnosis, they private message you and harass you even when you ask them to stop. I was ok with a 1 star review, since the in office experience was good. But believe me if I could give a 0, I would change it to that now. People make mistakes, an apology go's a long way. Rosewood Dental, you cant make everyone happy. Every patient you get has an individual experience, and has an opinion of that experience. You have plenty of 5 star ratings. Instead of harassing your clients, and telling them their opinion is wrong. Just apologize for not meeting their expectations, offer them the opportunity to return or contact you in the future if they have any questions about the doctors reasoning for what ever she has done and wish them a good day. I immediately phoned his office. They were as nice as could be. I was able to get in on the following Friday AM. Being a new patient is always a bit scary, let alone having to go in for an ER procedure. Long story short, I could not have been happier. The Dr. explained everything he was doing as he did it. His office Mgr. explained all the costs ahead of time, and we were able to use my Dental Ins. (Yes, I still had out of pocket costs). This is an office that's very organized, clean, and the people who work there are very caring. As I mentioned everyone explained what they were doing which was very comforting. Very little if any pain. They offer "laughing gas" if needed. Dr. Benavides is very patient. At the end of everything, he explains what if anything needs to be done for follow up care.
