Located near the corner of the intersection of Liliha St. and N. Kuakini St., right next to the Creations by You store. If you drive a little past Conversations Café on Liliha St. and see the yellow pedestrian ahead sign on the right, there is a small parking lot nearby with maybe 6-8 tight parking stalls. Drive slowly or else you'll miss it (and just in case a car is trying to back out). A friend of mine told me that there's a coffee shop that she thought I would like, and she was right! The storefront already looked cute, and once I walked inside, I thought everything looked so pretty and vintage. There is limited seating, so as their sign says "please try to limit your dine-in experience to 90 minutes or less." This is a cozy place to catch up with a friend or two, but not big groups. You can get your drink hot or iced, small or large (but some specialty drinks are one size: medium), and if you choose an alternative milk (oat, almond, or coconut), it'll be $1 extra. You could also add syrup for an additional $0.50 each, and the choices are vanilla, caramel, hazelnut, raspberry, macadamia. From their Specialty Drinks Menu, I got a small iced White Chocolate Raspberry Matcha drink with regular milk, and I love the combination!! While the Matcha was more delicate and light, the taste of the white chocolate was silky and smooth, mixed with the sweet flavor of the raspberry, left a pleasant aftertaste. This instantly became my favorite drink! If you love sweets like I do, I highly recommend it! The staff was friendly and the person taking my order was very helpful. What a darling little place in the middle of a busy part of town! Met up with a girlfriend and had picked it because it perfectly fit what we were meeting up to do: have a conversation! :-) The Coco Joy is a JOY. Yum yum! The Mr Unagi salad is a perfect little lunch. The kaleidoscope bagel made me giggle. Taste-wise it's absolutely your standard bagel-shaped bread object with Philly and berries. But it's so GORGEOUS! ***4.5 STARS*** This past weekend I started a new chapter where I accomplished what I've been wanting to do for years now. I went on a simple hike after a 2 year hiatus and found myself needing to refuel and cool down my body. By pure coincidence, I received a text from Auntie (aka Nadine C.) asking if I wanted to meet up for lunch. After going back and forth, she suggested Conversations. I've never been there so I agreed. Located near the corner of Liliha St and N Kuakini St, next to Creations By You, Conversations is a quaint business that offers breakfast, brunch and lunch items. One of the reasons why I agreed to come here is their dedicated shared parking lot. It was a hot morning and I already had plans for an early dinner that day. After studying the menu, my mind was set on ordering the açaí bowl, along with the mango raspberry tea to wash it down. But while waiting my turn to order, my eyes wandered their counter area and landed on their energy bars. Clearly they are house made and I was game on trying them. I was debating which one to get until the male staff offered me a sample and after trying the ube energy bar, my decision was made. After paying, we sat at a table and discussed future events and the next thing we know, it didn't take too long for our food to be delivered to us. VERDICT: Overall, I was very pleased with the food here. My açai bowl really satisfied my recent cravings. It was a great way to cool down after a late morning hike. I really enjoyed the fresh strawberries and blueberries but wasn't a fan of the canned mandarin oranges. The granola topping really offered a nice texture contrast. The mango raspberry tea was also refreshing but too sweet for my taste buds. I was hoping for some tartness or sourness that you get from mangoes. The Ube granola bar was quite good with the Ube flavor kicking in as I chewed away. Service was above average. The staff were cordial and customer service oriented. This business is unique with an array of arts, crafts and plushies. I also saw some bunches of fresh cut flowers for sale, too. Overall, a very small and cozy business where I see myself returning to try more of their menu. XD This little coffee shop is located in Liliha, if you're heading up Liliha St. there is a little parking lot right next to the building that you can park in. If there is no parking available, you can try street parking. It's a really small coffee shop that has about three tables for people to sit at. There is additional seating outside as well. The décor is whimsical and I felt like it would be a great location for high tea because it gives off that kind of vibe. I went in with my sister and her boyfriend and we ordered the Mrs. Crabbitz, Kaleidoscope Bagel, Blended Mocha, Magic Unicorn Lemonade, and the CocoBae. The staff was really nice and patient while we were ordering because we had so many questions about the menu. Honestly, all the sandwiches on their menu looked so good I wanted to try it all, but I couldn't! So I'll have to go back with a few more people to try because they offer a sample box with all the different flavors for a group to try. We waited inside since there was a table open and we were looking at all the little Knick knacks they have for sale. It took about 15 minutes to get everything. We got our drinks first and then the food. For the Magic Unicorn Lemonade, they actually give you a unicorn straw which I thought was so cute! All the drinks were delicious, especially the Blended Mocha. If you're in the mood for a sweet juice then the lemonade is great! And if you're a coconut lover, then the CocoBae would be your fit. The CocoBae is supposed to be an ube drink, but it tasted more coconuty than ube. Now for the food. The Mrs. Crabbitz was sooooo good! It had a great ratio of mayonnaise and imitation crab and cucumbers. I just wish it was a little bigger because it's pretty much the size of a regular square sandwich. The bagel was alright, the berries were sweet and fresh, but you're pretty much paying for the aesthetic. The colorful cream cheese is beautiful to look at, but that's just it. One thing to note is that they are a little pricey, but it's expected for a local coffee shop like this. I thought it was a great find and I don't regret trying it. What a gem! This quaint little spot is located in Liliha, right next to Creations By You. When you first walk in, it's as if you're in a tea house with it's cute victorian garden decor. They have fresh flowers and bouquets near the counter and even sell handmade crafts, which I'm assuming is made from patrons of the craft store next door. On to the food: For a small cafe, I was not expecting their menu to be so encompassing. They offer both breakfast and lunch items, which honestly, I could have for dinner as well, but the hours here are limited. What impressed me most was the unique menu items, such as the Mrs. Crabbitz sandwich (crab salad on sourdough; pictured below), spicy tuna on sweet roll, and kaleidoscope bagel (looks crazy & fun, which deserves a mention). This is such a cute cafe. Me and my friend went to this place and they had a parking lot, which was perfect for their small car, but would not recommend having a big car like a minivan since the parking spots were small. There are so much plushies, stationeries, keychains offered at this cafe. I got a hot lavender latte and a pumpkin scone and it was really nice to catch up with my friend with their different drinks compared to other cafés that I've gone before. A bit of a warning, this is an obviously Christian themed business and may recommend another place if you are not comfortable in such an environment. What a adorable cafe filled with positive vibes that just brings out the unicorn princess in me. This darling cafe with seating both in and outdoor takes you away from the cray cray and literally put colors back in your grey tones. I decided to check it out since it was supposed to be a "cute" cafe with free parking (because the Liliha area has limited metered street parking in general). Located on busy Liliha Street, near Kuakini Street, next to Creations By You (a craft shop), Conversations really is a cute place! I liked it from the moment I entered the well air conditioned cafe. All of the kawaii handmade items such as hanging air plants, fresh cut flowers, Mochi Monsters, and face masks were fun and cheerful! Service was excellent! I recognized Wendy, the owner, right away because she had been on television as a spokesperson for small business. She had met with the Mayor and the Governor to discuss Hawaii's economy. Wendy even sat down with me as I ate my refreshing acai bowl. We had a stimulating conversation about the homeless situation, mental illness, and other current events. Besides the acai bowl, I also ordered a Magical Unicorn Lemonade - it was delightfully whimsical and colorful! I took home the Mandarin Orange Salad with vinaigrette dressing, the cranberry chicken on sweet roll, and Mrs. Crabbitz (imitation crab and sliced cucumber) on toasted sourdough. Such a cute cafe hidden in liliha. I originally found them due to their totoro tuesdays because I'm a huge totoro fan. But it's the good food and friendly staff that keep me coming back. This place has a very family feeling. Everyone seems to get along well and they always greet you with a smile. It's a very welcoming environment. So far I've tried many desserts and a few food items. One of their most popular sandwiches is the Mrs. Crabbitz. The crab filling is a very light flavor and it's served in crunchy toasted sourdough. Their spicy tuna cup is packed with flavor and seems like a convenient lunch on the go option. Their monster claw is so good. Made fresh so the cream filling is light and fluffy. This place was so cute! I was on my way to Creations By You and when I came around from the parking lot I saw this cute little shop. I was short on time but it was so adorable I had to get a Moon Milk. The staff suggested it, I'm glad they had Almond Milk for me to try it. I might have to come back soon to try other items in their menu. They did have a sample of Ube and Lychee energy bars that were very good. (Or was it Lilikoi) I might grab that next time. The place sells little trinkets, fresh cute flowers, and plants. What was awesome was they had a Daily Devotion Book which I needed to get on my list for today. I really loved that. The place has parking which is shared with Creations By You, so parking can't be the reason not to stop by here and have a great conversation....with staff or a friend and maybe even a great book. They have outdoor seating and love that they have planted barriers to keep it intimate and to make it look cute. I always tell friends Hawaii needs more outdoor seating on the sidewalks, the islands have the perfect weather for it. Even though I only had a beverage I have this place a five for the atmosphere, decor style inside and outside, staff friendliness, available parking for patrons in an area where parking is difficult if an establishment doesn't have parking. I have driven past this location so so many times I cant even number them. FINALLY I stopped past. I got a cocobae hot latte. And as a coffee snob I can tell you it was really nice. I cant speak for what a non-flavored coffee would be but this was yummy. It is somewhat pricey for a coffee but as a treat on a day i needed on it was great. The shop its self is small and has a lot of religious themed gifts and nic nacs. The staff is super friendly, and busy! So many phone orders came in while i was waiting in line. This is a curious place. It's probably not for everyone. I've driven past this place a few times in the last month or so and noticed how cute the front is. I finally decided to try it while some friends were on island. Parking is in a generously-sized lot right next to the building - can't beat that! I don't strictly mind that kind of environment, but I could see that not everyone necessarily would. And I didn't notice many comments about that when I consulted the reviews, so it took all three of us by surprise. But that's not why I only gave it 3 stars. The staff member got our order very wrong, even when we corrected him. We asked for a latte and a coffee and wound up with two lattes. Ordered two breakfast sandwiches but only got one. I wanted something more like a pastry and the only thing that really fit the bill was the prepackaged scones from an outside bakery. Two for $7, when I really only wanted one. That said, the lilikoi-peach scone was delicious. The menu seemed super-limited compared to the earlier photos and reviews. We were there for breakfast, so I'm not sure if they have more lunch offerings or whether their lean menu was an artifact of COVID. We weren't asked for anything for Safe Access Oahu, since we were dining in, and I don't know whether that was just overlooked or whether that was on purpose. Coming down from the Omicron surge, it made me a little wary. Anyhow, there are a couple tables inside "for quiet conversation" and a couple smaller ones outdoors. I also bought some Ube flavored and sweet flavored Chex mix. Both REALLY good. The drink that drew me in was the Coco-bae. This drink is definitely bae!! It is packed with coconutty goodness. Ube and coconut syrups with coconut cold foam on top. With all of this flavor, the actual coffee roast has to stand out, and it did. It was chocolatey and smooth. I thought chocolate was in the drink at first. And bae is easy on the eyes! So pretty. This shop has a full menu. Quiche, sandwiches, bagels, pastries. The 2 young gentlemen that were working the shop on this past Saturday were very sweet and offered great customer service. I am a sucker for cute coffee places and decided to stop and check it out. i was in awe, been to some really cute coffee places when we travel and wow I actually found one here in Honolulu. I remember this place being a Korean BBQ take out which a co-worker owned a few years ago. So glad I went in. As soon as I walked in I already felt the welcoming with Christian signs around and the cutest decorations hanging above, cute gift items and then the owner and staffs were just totally nice, we had our "Conversations" just about anything and it felt so homey. A great way to start the weekend is with Conversations!! This u'i cafe is perfectly located on Liliha Street with ample parking in the lot right next to it. Its retro styled storefront is perfect for photo ops. Inside the cafe you can find all kinds of snacks and cute items like pop-its, mugs, cups, and more! We were greeted by a friendly team member and although the staff wore masks, I could see their smiles right through them. It's been awhile since I've written a review for Yelp. Family, work, pets, Covid... so many excuses, and procrastination is one of my biggest flaws. Food for the both of us to enjoy. Different from the regular pancake places. Cold brew ice coffee was good. No refills. When they brought out her salad, we noticed what looked like shredded chicken on the top of her salad. Kindly asked our server about it, because nowhere on the menu does it say anything about chicken on this salad. She referred to the cook/chef, who said what- doesn't it list chicken on the menu? No, it really does not have chicken on menu. We wouldn't have ordered it for someone who does not eat chicken... they took the salad back, and came out with the only thing they have that is vegetarian- according to both of them, a Mandarin salad. She was happy with the Mandarin salad, and about 15 minutes later, someone came out and apologized for the mixup and said they would fix the menu. When the Kaleidoscope bagels came out, I felt like they looked nothing like the photos from a few months ago. There were no edible flowers at all. 6 blueberries, and 7 small slices of strawberries. My friend didn't have anything to compare it to, so she was ok with it. I was hyped up about it from the earlier photos on Yelp. We ended up wrapping it up and taking it home for her girls. All in all, this was a solid deal for the price. The roast beef Sammich was delish. Coffee good. Ambiance and atmosphere was cute and cozy. Ample parking. This is a great place to enjoy some coffee and "talk story" I had just finished a doctor's appointment and decided to have some lunch and a refreshing drink. I ordered Mr Unagi's Salad and an ice coffee drink. The salad was very simple with romaine lettuce, spicy tuna salad, tae gu and unagi sauce. It was so delicious, and you can't go wrong with iced coffee. The baristas are friendly, and the overall service is awesome. The decor of this cafe is so cute with lots of interesting baked goods and gift items. Also fresh leis and while I was there fresh gardenias were delivered. Since spending some time in South Korea, I live for cute cafes and coffee shops. Each morning when waking up in Seoul, the first thing on my agenda would be to find a coffee shop nearby. Lucky for me Conversations is not too far from my home, making for the perfect spot to stop at for a mid-day recharge. The cafe itself is cute and definitely a Kawai lovers dream. Decorated with flowers and unicorns, and rainbows, I'd imagine my five year old niece would go crazy here. There is definitely a family friendly feeling as soon as you walk in. My mom and I stopped by on a Friday afternoon for brunch. We both ordered an iced tea. My mom ordered the spicy tuna sandwich and I ordered the rainbow bagels. Both were delicious! If I came again I'd definitely order the mini sandwiches again! There's a small parking lot on the right hand side of the street if you're heading mauka on Liliha Street, immediately after the building. The food here is light and dainty and I'd recommend coming here if you're looking for a light snack. read more

Cute little coffee shop located in Liliha between Kuakini Medical Center and Liliha Bakery. If you're looking for a light meal with a cute ambience, this is the place for you. Lots of cutesy decor and items to purchase inside as well. Just note...parking is not the best especially if you go during popular eating hours. Best to go on off-peak hours if you don't want to worry about parking. There is a small parking lot (less than 10 stalls) to the side of their restaurant, but it's also shared with their neighboring craft store. If you're familiar with the area, maybe parking isn't too bad because you know the side streets or another area to park? But as someone not super familiar with the area, I was hesitant to go venturing for parking elsewhere. I'm not sure if I just got lucky or if parking is usually pretty easy, but there were two other cars waiting on the side in the parking lot to get stalls. I waited along the road right outside the parking lot for a few minutes and saw a car coming out, so I backed up and waited in the parking lot when those other cars went in. If you have a big vehicle, might be a little hard, though. As I mentioned, this is a small coffee shop type of establishment, so don't come here looking to bring a group of friends. There are only 4 tables that can accommodate two people per table. You can make reservations ahead of time, but they will accept walk-ins as well. Their menu consists of sandwiches, sushi cups, salads, powerbowls, and desserts. There's also a selection of drinks such coffees, teas, lemonades, and shakes. I got the Mrs. Crabbitz on Sourdough. Imitation crab salad with thinly sliced pieces of cucumber sandwiched between two pieces of sourdough bread. What's not to like? So simplistic, but enjoyable. I also got the Magic Unicorn lemonade. Lemonades are not my usual go-to drink by any means, but the beautiful colors of this drink were so captivating that I couldn't miss this IG-worthy moment. Plus, how can you deny the cute unicorn straw topper that they add? When the worker gave me the drink, she made sure to remind me not to forget to mix it up before drinking it. However, because of the unicorn topper, I couldn't get my straw down far enough to mix it with the (what I think) cotton candy blue sugar on the bottom. I had to remove the lid and dunk my straw in to get it all mixed up. Kind of ruined the bottom of the unicorn *sad face* So be sure to get your pictures taken before enjoying this drink. It wasn't as sweet as I thought it would be since I heard cotton candy and thought it would be unenjoyably sweet. Just your typical lemonade, though...nothing too special taste wise. Not sure if I'd be back, but it's definitely a place I'd recommend people to at least try if you want a nice little lunch place with a friend. read more
