I am a Veteran who normally goes to the va er when I have issues. When I found out (a few years ago…read morenow) that I could go to certain emergency cares and the va would cover the cost I started calling around to see where I could go. After about 4 calls this was the only place that even hinted they could work with me. I went with just my regular ID and they gathered my info and have been able to go to them at no cost since. I honestly don't know WHAT anyone is talking about the staff being un-professional because the 5-6 times I've gone now (even during the plague) they have always been very help full and professional. I would HIGHLY suggest any Vet ( or anyone really) looking for an emergency care that will work with the VA to come here and I would believe other MedExpress would be able to help but I cant speak for any other locations since this is the only one I've been too.

My fingers started to bleed profusely blood hitting every inch of my apartment. When I tried to run the finger under cold water it bled more and so I applied pressure for about 15 minutes and then my finger continued to bleed. I called my mom and I told her what happened She had recommended that I go to an urgent care. I looked up the nearest urgent Care and Next Level was only 9 minutes away. Not knowing if they'll take my insurance I was in route! As soon as I walked in I let them know my situation and let them know that I was high risk bleeder with the laceration. They immediately took me back without any hesitation! Mr Brian was professional and attentive making sure he had my insurance card in my driver's license to gather my demographics. He brought me bowl with soapy water and medication so I can soak my finger. Then Mrs Ana came into the room to assess my finger. And then I saw and briefly spoke with Ms. Karime who took my vitals. I received a tetanus shot today so I wouldn't get lockjaw. And then Ms. Ana began sewing up my finger with four stitches. She numbed the area with lidocaine to make sure that the area was numb before she started. She explained what the lidocaine was for and that it would be a little sting and a burn initially. She explained everything thoroughly so I wouldn't be in surprise. They treated me a lot better than any emergency room staff out of all my years of going to the hospital! The staff at Next level in Pasadena was extremely kind, patient, and and professional!!! They treated me a lot better than when I went to urgent care at Memorial Hermann in Friendswood last year. Because even though they were nice, they still joked about my situation and made fun of my career. I didn't appreciate that at all. I don't need that type of joking when I'm going through something serious and life-threatening. Thank you Next Level urgent care being there for me when I needed you the most! I was even given some extra gauze and bandage so when I clean the wound I will have something to wrap it with. I will recommend this urgent care to anyone that asked me for recommendation. Even if I'm asked this question on Reddit. I will let everyone know that I was treated with the utmost care!! Also wanted to mention that Brian who works the front desk is cute. I'm happy that he was able to enter in my information from the insurance card correctly. Because last time when I went to the hospital I gave them my insurance card and they still incorrectly entered my information into the system and then claimed I had Medicare even though I'm not even over the age of 65. I recently had another pleasure of receiving expert guidance by Sunij Abraham. This time I walked…read morein having a difficult time breathing due to what i believed was an asthma attack. The staff is always nice but the facility itself isnt the best equipped with the latest medical technology. Nevertheless, after a short wait i was soon in the exam room which gave me great peace of mind. Mr Abraham who quickly assessed my breathing, administered treatment with a mix of medication. He said this wasnt a simple asthma attack but closer to bronchitis causing my labored breathing. Throughout my visit, he went above and beyond to ensure that I was receiving the best possible care demonstrating a high level of professionalism and empathy. After my visit, I felt so much better and so blessed to be able to take a deep breath. However, I truly appreciated his care and concern for my well being a few days later recieving a call from Mr Abraham, asking how i felt, and that he was following up making sure i was taking my medications properly to ensure a full recovery. I just had a 24hr stomach virus and was dehydrated... He's an older white man. I can't remember his name. He misdiagnosed my mother as well, last year, with an upper respiratory infection and almost sent her home. He left in the middle of her visit due to the shift changes. The same day, a different doctor, in the same ER, diagnosed her with PNEUMONIA!!! Severely and ended up with scaring on her lungs! He doesn't care or listen at all to his patients! All the other doctors and nurses there have been amazing and have really helped us out. Made us feel comfortable each time! Especially nurse Adrian! She's awesome!

Like somehow that's my problem and an acceptable reason for being matter of fact about everything. I waited an hour and a half before they decided to give me pain meds in my I.V. The pain is so bad in my head that I'm shivering to death and there are no blankets, no pillows, no way to control the TV , and no way to control the lights. And I'm paying for this?....WoW!!! I'm about to yank this IV out and get me an Uber back to my truck. I'm over this already. Been here 2 hrs and still know nothing.
