I've lived in CCC all my life, but only heard they held a fair this year. The fair lasts for 4 days. We decided to check it out and tickets were $12 for adults. Honestly, this fair is only worth it if you live close by, but not worth it drive out to. We are used to going to the Alameda County Fair, so in comparison, this is a very small venue. Everything is on a much smaller scale so there aren't as many rides, games, and vendors. We arrived before the gates opened and there was a queue forming in front of the gate, but once they started letting people in, there was no line/ crowd control and it was chaotic. Funnily, rather than security, the person who was hired as a clown was the only one doing crowd control and directing people where to go. He was great. There were some interesting and unique parts about this fair like camel rides, a sea lion show, and free roller skating in the roller rink. read more

Said prices online were a 20 for adults, 15 for kids for destruction derby, but they make you pay for tickets to get into the fair first, which are 12 kids and adults, and another 10 per person to get into the track part. 2 and 7 extra a ticket doesnt sound today bad until you bring 10+ people like we did, mostly kids, so get screwed on tickets, since we arent even doing anything in the fair. We ended up paying an additional 71 dollars, and not a single guard or worker had any idea about it. We asked 6 different people in just the parking lit and got a different answer every time. One of the saddest excuses of a fair I've ever experienced. I've been maybe four times now, and it just ain't that good. And that's too bad; they can do so much better. Midway - typical, your kids will love it. Exhibits - typical, but in a run-down building; actually, the whole place is run-down. They do have animals from the 4-H clubs. Concerts - don't even think about it; I saw the Cheeseballs here, and they can hype the crowd as well as anyone, and even they couldn't do a good show at this fair. Atmosphere - borderline ghetto. Everyone raves about the Alameda County Fair in Pleasanton, and the State Fair is a knockout too. But the others should be visited too. This one in Antioch is an exception, though; it just ain't worth the time, money, or effort. read more

Had a great time here with my wife and daughter last week. It was fun bringing my 9 month old, and she loved seeing and hearing all the animals, drummers, and costumed actors. We let her get close to see the pigs, alpaca's, and other farm animals they had, and she just loved it! Other than the carousel, we couldn't do any rides due to our baby, which is fine and to be expected. I personally didn't mind, because their rides usually make me a little nauseous, though as anybody will know by reading enough of my posts, my stomach gets easily upset, and I can't do spinning rides too much, which is unfortunately most of their rides (I'd probably die if I had to spend 5 minutes on the Gravitron for example). They have a ton of yummy food to try, though man oh man is it expensive. A dipped scoop of ice cream in a cone cost $9! That's a bit excessive, to say the least. Also, their art exhibit was very underwhelming. Wish they'd come up with something more interesting for patrons to walk around in and observe. Also, last year they had Splash Dogs, but not this year. WHYYYYYY????? That's was the best part! Was really bummed as I wanted my daughter to see. Even if you don't spend a dime (other than parking), this is a fun place to just walk around. The game booths are a rip off (which is par for the course at fairs/amusement parks), but it's fun to watch others play. Rides are fun to look at, the fair is really just a walk through the park, but with cotton candy and rides. The animals are all free to see, which was the best part for us. read more

Last year, my family and I were fortunate to attend the fair for the very first time, and boy did we all enjoy ourselves! The fairgrounds are located in an area that has a small American town feel -- but with the beauty of diversity; and since I had just returned from living abroad, this was a wonderful reminder of what makes our country so great. The fair is rather small (I'm not a fan of the huge ones, anyhow) yet truly enjoyable, they offered every fair delicacy you can think of. My young nephews were quite impressed by the humongous blocks of french fries, and the adults could not get enough of the "elotes." I gorged on funnel cakes topped with ice cream and quenched my thirst on a never-ending supply of zesty lemonade. There are plenty of activities for every member of the family. My 4 year old nephew greatly enjoyed watching pigs race and getting to pet them, he's a total city kid and doesn't get to experience this often; the 11 year old had a blast on the rides. We ended our day by the music stage where a lively south-of-the-border band serenaded us with catchy tunes - it was truly adorable watching so many children dancing. But what I enjoyed the most was seeing the diversity of the attendees and the jovial and peaceful atmosphere. Even though they live a few hours away, my family is already planning their trip to this year's festivities! read more

This fair is overpriced, small, and ghetto. The ticket retailers tried to overcharge us by 10 dollars. When my husband pointed it out, the lady counted on her fingers and after some time/arguing she realized she was wrong and gave my husband a ten dollar bill. Lines are long, rides are poorly operated, and if your child is under 42 inches tall....don't even bring them. There are only two rides they will be allowed on. Game vendors are verbally aggressive. It's really lame. What a waste of our money. read more

Had a good time yesterday with my 3 and 5 year olds. First time visitors to this fair. It is about 1/4 the size of the Alameda County Fair, where I went last year with my then-4.5 yo. This one is small enough you can do it all in a morning, so works well for nappers and little kids with little legs. My husband and I were a little, dare we say, disappointed at the relative paucity of cool exhibits and booths, but overall it was a fine way to spend 3 hours with the kids. The ex and I took her kids here once. They had a ball. Reminded me of the county fairs in NC. Probably the same company puts on fairs nationwide. Those kids mustof ate 100 bucks worth of junk food. We finally told them we were out of money. As we were leaving mom wanted a funnel cake. "I thought you said you were out of money mom" Mom replied with "I just found a ten on the ground" She was always quick like that. Then the kids ate her funnel cake. read more

This was the worst fair I've been too ever. So bad I probably won't come back until I hear different. The food was not very good, overpriced and limited choices. It was ghetto, and I felt it was only catering to Latinos. I have never been to a fair that I didn't like, this was very disappointing . The Santa Rosa and Pleasanton fairs are much better. read more

The CC County Fair is a great yearly tradition, it has a family atmosphere and small town feel in the middle of a highly populated county. Great fair food and traditional fair midway rides. Free live entertainment as well. I look forward to it every year! read more

this is a dude fair. lots of guys hanging out during the day. there were a lot of kids on all the rides. long lines at each of the rides caused a lot of crying babies probably too young to on some of the ride but most of the kids enjoyed! read more

Ok everything was good. We got there, had a unlimited wristband we got from groupon. My kid gets his wristband and they also stamp his hand. We rode some rides and looked at stuff. well we were getting ready to leave and my son wanted to ride the roller coaster (that is right next to the exit), well he walks up to the ride and the jerk at the ride says that his stamp is smudged (hello its hot and kids sweat ) so he said we have to go to guest relations(which us towards the back of the grounds) I told him the kid gets to ride one more ride and we were leaving. He still wouldnt let him ride. So then we find this fair worker that was helpful earlier in the day and so he walks over to the ticket booth (where he got the stamp earlier) and the stupid lady wont give him a new stamp and tells us we have to go to guest relations. I told her I am not walking all the way back to guest relations for one more ride that is right here. So she wont budge so fair worker goes over to the ride and asks the guy at the ride to please let my kid on. its his last ride and he was heading out. the jerk still wont budge. I cant believe they would treat a 9 year old child like that. I will never set foot at the fair ever again. read more
