Now, it's two years later, and the system is not working. I called for a service call but was told that it would be over $250 because it was a weekend. I was sold a 10-year warranty for parts and labor, but now they tell me I must wait until Monday or pay a $250 fee because it's the weekend. I contacted the sales representative who sold us the system (James Thornsberry), but he had moved to Birmingham, AL. I am still waiting for a representative to contact me about getting the HVAC system serviced. The forecast is in the upper 90s today, and it's too hot in the house. We recently moved my mother-in-law into the house with us to care for her, and this heat could present medical issues with her. I am embarrassed that I was conned by Hot2Cold. Do yourselves a favor and DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THEM!

He could have replaced them for the service charge but didn't and what do I know about air conditioner parts? Then, shortly, this is in June, the early days of summer. another AC failure on a Saturday night. Calling in a service request was met with a full mail box. I called first thing Monday morning and wasn't able to talk to somebody for 30 minutes for the service call which didn't arrive until late in the afternoon, where it was pronounced the part another part had failed, and that he would get the previously injured part to replace that too. The part he did replace cost $192, for a unit guaranteed for 10 years (still under warranty). By the way, you don't get to see the invoice until you pay it. He returned Tuesday and replaced the previously injured part, charged $160 for the service call, the system blew cold over night and failed the next morning. He came back the next day and replaced the dryer, and charged me $569.00 (not itemized although a dryer was replaced) for almost a couple of hours work, tops. Well comes the following Saturday night, and it failed again. The same tech did all this. He is rude, his pants hang down below his ass, he was speaking to some woman on cell in speaker mode almost the whole time he was working, and to justify the price he said to the effect that I live in a nice house and he lives in a shack; is that like white privilege or something. I don't know. I guess that Bart has retired and is no longer involved with the company or the market allows for bad service and he just does not care. I requested a working AC on the system I purchase 7 years ago whose compressor was already replaced once and I pay a semi annual fee to be maintained. The quality was trash, and there was no value in being inconvenienced, and the astonishing claim from that technician that he as performed a valuable service for the value of the money I paid. I pay for protection, but the providers are incompetent.

In all my years of owning homes and rentals, I have dealt with so many HVAC companies. Some…read moreexperiences were "okay" while other companies were so awful I can't believe they are still in business. It was a revolving door of terrible companies that we hired over the past 8 years to fix our ducts and replace our HVAC system. After shelling out tens of thousands of dollars and still having a house that didn't cool properly (and was costing us $600-700/month in electric bills), we hired Fontana Brothers based on the amazing reviews. They came in, did an assessment of our system, and determined that the ducts were significantly undersized and the a/c returns needed to be relocated from floor-level to ceiling (to keep the returns from sucking up dirt and cooler air). Marcelo the duct master sketched out the entire ventilation/duct plan and replaced all of the ducts in our house to the larger (correct) size. The new ducts have a special antibacterial coating. He also relocated all of our returns. The project took a week, but they were incredibly thorough. They did such a good job that we decided to have them replace both of our current a/c units (Daikins) to Bosch units because our old units were going to be out of warranty in about 2 years and we were worried that the Daikin units would not last due to the strain they had been under with the old undersized ducts. Was it cheap? No. Was it worth it? Heck yeah! We are already noticing year-over-year cost reduction of about $200/month. And the house smells clean, cools down quickly and we don't need to keep the thermostat down anymore to cool the house - I can set it at 76/77 degrees during a hot summer day and the house still feels comfortable. Throughout the process, all of the Fontana crew members were incredibly friendly, professional, and kept me informed. Given the heat and the tight space, I wasn't surprised when there was a minor incident with the ceiling drywall - but Dan immediately let me know he would make it right and had a drywall company come out and fix it. Compare this to the last HVAC company I used who first replaced the wrong a/c unit (the older one that was working fine) and just said, "Oops, well it will cost another $10k to replace the one we were supposed to replace in the first place, and the one we did replace was old and should be replaced anyway." Then they did a crap job, didn't connect the drain pipe properly so that I came home to a huge puddle of water all over my garage floor and damaged garage ceiling drywall (which they promised to fix and then gave me the runaround - they never fixed it). When Marcelo removed the old ducts, I asked him about some things that the old company supposedly did - turns out they lied about installing the damper that was supposed to fix some of the airflow issues - it was nowhere to be found! I will NEVER use a we-do-everything-plumbing-ac-electric company like the one that starts with Corner and ends with Stone because all they want to do is make money - they don't care about the customer. I will ALWAYS use Fontana Brothers because they stand by their work and they do a damn good job. Plus they sent me a tin of cookies to thank me for being a customer! If you are looking for an HVAC company that is honest, transparent, does quality work at a fair price and provides exceptional customer service, you will not be disappointed if you choose Fontana Brothers!

He gave me a business card and I then called the next day to arrange for an appointment. I was very accommodating to their schedule and was given a date of May 14, between 1-5pm. I adjusted my schedule and made sure I was home. At 3pm....I received a call that an emergency came up and no one is going to show. I was displeased that I had to adjust my schedule, but I understood....it happens. I thought maybe they would make good and I would be the first person the next day....fat chance. I was given May 27, between 830am-noon and that I would first up. Again, I adjusted my schedule and made sure I was home.....however, at 10am, another phone call to me stating another emergency had come up and they won't be able to make it.....wanting to reschedule again. Of course, I was upset and without using foul language questioned their customer service and reliability. I was put on hold for a few seconds, then an male subject responded, asked my name, told me to have a good day and hung up. That being said, they may do good work or not, as Hudson Air has poor customer service and reliability issues. Buyer beware.

Seven years ago, we got the top-of-the-line train AC units for our home. We signed maintenance…read moreagreements and I've had it for the whole time and cancel last year because of their inability to come out and service the units on time. Well, they kept delaying it and the AC unit in the main Rooms stop working because of water back up in the condensation tube. They could not come out right away, so I called another service to do so they came out that night. A month or so later I hired that same company to do the routine maintenance and they found that there was a leak in the evaporator coil. Since I bought the unit from Pinnelas, I agreed to have them come out and repair the unit. They sent a young man and an older gentleman, and the young man who was new did the work while the older gentleman stayed down in the garage and yelled up to him on what to do. The price was over $2700. But when they did not show up on the Saturday that they were supposed to they came the following Monday and offered a 10% discount on the work. The next day my wife was getting ready to leave to go to the airport and looked up in the ceiling, and there was a large wet spot. Turns out their new recruit did not connect something properly and water leaked all over the floor of the attic and then ultimately put a large spot in our kitchen . They did come out that day and acknowledge that it was their problem and they took pictures and said they would contact us to have a contractor come and paint the ceiling when dry. They were supposed to call us last Friday to have a contractor come out. I never did. They didn't call Monday and I called them and ask them what the problem was. They did not call Tuesday and finally on Wednesday a customer service rep called and said they would have to get approval to do so. my wife explained to them that Christian already approved it and only then did she acknowledged that OK we have a painter. Come out and appraise the job. First I would like to say that the train units that I purchased have continuously let us down. Every time Pinnelas comes out they find something else wrong. We've spent thousands of dollars on top of the warranty to have various things done including surge protectors, which cost well over $1000. I would suggest shopping around if you are looking for a quality air conditioner replacement. The company that came out in their place was called apostle I understand there may be staffing issues and the company bought out the original company and I really don't know who's in charge there anymore. I would definitely shop around if you were looking for a replacement AC unit or maintenance.

I had 2 new units installed. One unit died 1 month after install. Instead of replacing it they took random used pieces and parts to get it running. ever since the thing sounds like a jet engine. Christian said if you want it replaced you have to call Trane. We won't do it. Awesome customer service there. Imagine buying a new car, it dies after a month and the dealer says call the manufacturer. Ridiculous! The other unit they forgot to put an overflow switch on and the thing destroyed my ceiling with overflow water. I'm still awaiting a repair. And that's after dozens and dozens of calls and the whole time them acknowledging its their fault. These units have had too many issues to list. I have the maintenance contract for 1 more year (not that it does any good) then I'm finding a reliable an honest company. This one is a joke
