It seems that that complaint usually requires additionally testing, although it didn't the day I was there. The doctor was hesitant to answer any questions for fear of getting off schedule, but he did want to talk about lasik and contact lenses. He finally told me that I will need surgery for some growths on both eyes.

Without any nurses, he spent 2 hours with procedures to stop further damage and help start to mend. Wednesday was the surgery, and a follow up the next day. They always assume that the surgery was done in the not so distant past because of Dr. Granek's advanced technique. He doesn't have the best bedside manner but who cares? I won't name names, but the eyewear ordering process has been a complete disaster. I ordered new lenses for my existing frames, and here's what happened: 1. The lenses didn't fit my frames, even though I left them there. I waited two weeks for a reorder. 2. The reordered lenses arrived, but they were not the transitions I had requested. Another reorder, another two-week wait. 3. When the lenses finally arrived, they had been shaved down too much and didn't fit properly--yet another reorder and another two-week wait. To make matters worse, I later found out they had actually received the lenses on March 10th, but no one informed me. It was only when I followed up on March 19th that they finally located them. Throughout this ordeal, there were no updates or follow-ups. After this experience, I'll be taking my business elsewhere--I've heard great things about Costco.

The second and most frustrating is the process to see another doctor. In two instances I've required a referral and even though my insurance doesn't that I have a referral, the office has a "referral coordinator" that handles that. I have waited 2 weeks for an appointment with the dr I was referred to. They still have not received my records and there is nothing I can do but wait. When I called to report my symptoms were worse and to get an update I was told I needed to just wait. As soon as this issue is resolved I will find another pcp. I like Kristen but I need someone who can help me when I need it.
