Luckily, I came across Four Seasons Builders and had the pleasure of working with Roy throughout the entire renovation. Roy was professional, organized, and incredibly informative from start to finish. He was always available to answer questions, consistently showed up, and personally managed every stage of the project. Everyone worries about cost, but honestly -- you get what you pay for. The results speak for themselves: my new kitchen turned out miraculous and has become the centerpiece of my home that my family truly enjoys. Roy also updated my entry door and added recessed lighting in the dining room, which tied everything together beautifully. I couldn't be happier with the outcome and I'm already looking forward to having Four Seasons Builders remodel my three bathrooms in the future. Highly recommend

The project ran about six months. The short version: we'd hire them again. The longer version: Jacob, the design lead, is the reason we went with them. He has a genuine passion for old buildings and pushed to preserve original details that another contractor would have torn out without a second thought. That instinct matters when you're working on something irreplaceable. Ken managed the project more quietly but kept things moving. And when issues came up after the job was done -- after the final check had been cashed -- Jacob, Ken, and the owner Sage came back and made it right. That's not nothing. That's actually rare. Were there setbacks? Yes. If you've hired contractors in LA, especially on older properties, you know what you're signing up for. New Dawn isn't immune to that reality. They're not the cheapest option and not the most expensive either. But they're the kind of crew that stands behind their work, and in this city, that's worth writing a review about.

Their pricing was comparable to others, but the ability to visit their in-progress projects gave me confidence. I'm very very particular, and while no remodel is perfect, Creative worked to bring my vision to life. My advice: plan everything in detail beforehand--or hire a designer. To save costs, I handled all the design myself while working full-time, which was highly stressful. Having everything mapped out helps avoid delays, last-minute changes, or compromising on your vision. Golan and Jordan were fantastic--Golan handled planning and communication, and Jordan ensured everything stayed on track. They always responded to my texts in a reasonable amount of time. Their tile crew was exceptional (I often bumped into them because they worked long hours and weekends to complete my home and were really nice and respectful people), and they tiled nearly my entire house beautifully (we're talking 2000 sq ft of flooring, 3 bathrooms, and a fireplace). I appreciated that Creative didn't nickel and dime me for small changes, and when a gas leak was discovered (due to careless cabinetry work), they fixed it--and more (we found more leaks during the repairs)--without extra charges. Despite delays beyond their control, they completed the full renovation in about six months--from pulling permits to final inspection. Major work included a new kitchen, three bathrooms, tile flooring throughout, interior paint, a new electrical panel, and whole-house LED recessed lighting. Even after the job was done, they returned to fix small issues without hesitation. That kind of follow-up is rare in a world full of disappearing contractors. I would recommend Creative for any remodeling project, big or small.

A couple of months ago, we hired FHS Construction to repair storm damage to our home, and the…read moreexperience could not have gone better. After the Eaton Fire, heavy winds and rain had blown away and damaged shingles on our roof. Water began leaking into one of our bedrooms and left water spots on the dining room ceiling. What could have been a nightmare repair project turned into a smooth and reassuring process thanks to the team at FHS Construction. From the start, the crew was thorough in their inspection and diagnosis. They quickly identified the source of the leak and checked for hidden damage in the roof and ceilings. To prevent more water from coming in, they put up a temporary cover right away until the full repair could begin. The roof repair itself was handled professionally from top to bottom. Damaged shingles and underlayment were removed and replaced, everything was thoroughly inspected and sealed tightly to prevent future problems. Inside the bedroom, they removed water-damaged drywall and insulation, treated and cleaned areas affected by moisture and mold, and ensured the space was completely dried out before restoring it. When the remediation was complete, they patched everything up with new drywall, fresh paint, trim work and new carpet so the room looked as good as new. The same attention was given to the dining area ceiling where water spots had formed. The crew was consistently punctual--showing up on time every morning--and respectful of our home. They cleaned up after themselves daily, and even arranged for a professional cleaner to come through once the project was finished, which was a thoughtful touch. A special shoutout goes to Javier, the project manager. He kept us informed at every stage, explained what was happening, and always had answers for our questions. He also went above and beyond by helping us communicate with our insurance provider, State Farm. His guidance made a big difference in getting a fair payout to cover the damages. On top of that, he made a kind personal gesture by surprising my wife with a birthday card and a bouquet of flowers during the project -- a thoughtful gesture that meant a lot. The work wrapped up in about two weeks, just in time for us to host a big family gathering. When we discovered the ceiling fan lights in the bedroom weren't working, we called Javier. He immediately sent someone out the next day to resolve it. That kind of quick follow-up shows their commitment doesn't stop the moment the job is declared finished. We are seriously happy with the results. The roof is secure, the bedroom looks brand new, and the whole experience was far less stressful than we expected given the circumstances. FHS Construction delivered quality work, clear communication, and outstanding professionalism from start to finish. If you're looking for a construction company that does solid, thorough work while treating your home with respect, FHS Construction is the team to call. We wouldn't hesitate to hire them again and highly recommend them to anyone in need of trustworthy and skilled contractors.

From…read morethe very beginning, Joe made us feel confident and supported through every step of our remodel. We interviewed three different contractors, and Joe was the only one who took the time to truly understand our vision. He met with us not once, but twice, to go over our goals in detail, including our budget. And never once pressured us to go beyond it! As first-timer tackling a major renovation, his honest advice (including what he would do if he were in our shoes) was incredibly valuable and reassuring. This was a massive project: remodeling three bathrooms, replacing sewer pipes under both the front and back of the house, mold remediation, asbestos removal, modernizing the exterior, painting inside and out, updating trim, swapping chandeliers and canned lighting, replacing interior doors, and installing a new front door and garage door. Joe truly has teams for everything, that is skilled professionals he's worked with for 10+ years and it shows in the quality and coordination of the work. His crew was consistently kind, respectful, and punctual. Every morning they showed up on time and treated our home with care. With a small child in the house, safety was a huge concern for us, and they went above and beyond to make sure everything was secure and safe for her at all times. Joe also made sure no corners were cut. He handled permits thoroughly and professionally, and when we ran into a particularly difficult inspector, Joe personally came to the house to ensure everything was up to code so we wouldn't face further delays. That level of ownership and commitment is rare. We constantly get compliments from friends and neighbors about how our 1960s home looks completely transformed, in the best way. We liked our house when we bought it, but now we absolutely LOVE it, and that's all because of Joe and his team. Joe is just a genuinely warm, lovely person who truly goes above and beyond. We can't say enough good things about him. If you're considering a contractor, don't hesitate - G&M Home Remodeling is the one.

Incompetent and careless. They did work repairing our kitchen a few years ago after mold. What they…read moresaid would be a 2 week job turned into probably 5 months. Writing this now because I just saw an outlet underneath the sink that's not at all mounted to the wall and was reminded of how ridiculous this whole ordeal was. They'd come maybe 2 times a week, maybe less, sit in the driveway and wait for each other for a while, and they'd always forget what they were supposed to do. Then they'd say "ah ya we remember now, gotta go to Home Depot" and take another 1-2 hours. The pace of work was incredibly slow. When they were redoing our kitchen, we came home and saw that the main handyman had bought cabinets for the sink that opened straight into the fridge and stove, so you could barely open them. It was on a corner, so clearly a corner / lazy Susan cabinet was needed. Delayed the job by however many days. They cracked the sink they put in, and there's carvings in the countertops from where they messed up with sloppy cutting. When they installed the AC window units, they stained the window panes, sink, and the outside of the house with the insulation foam and didn't attempt to clean it until I asked. They didn't get much up; still stained. They didn't put calking around the countertop they put in behind the sink. There were a bunch of other times where similar things happened that I had to ask them to redo it or do a part of the job they'd missed.

Throughout the entire process, Mike was very professional and the level of expertise he exhibited was obvious. Before Mike, I had met with 3 other contractors to compare services and quotes but what sealed the deal for me was the 3D render service Mike offered. It was affordable and it would be free if you end up going with MDM for your remodel. Mike was able to get the renderings to me very quickly and made adjustments whenever we wanted to change something. Seeing the details of the renderings really brought what we were envisioning to life and helped with the design process. Fast forward to beginning of demo/construction, Mike's employees were impressively fast and efficient at their jobs, but what really impressed me was how clean they kept our property after each day of work. And that stated true throughout the entire process of our 7 month renovation. During construction, if there were any last minute changes, Mike would always try to cater to our needs whenever possible. Even if subcontractors made mistakes with anything, Mike would make sure it is fixed and perfect right away. Keep in mind, you can't rely on Mike for everything (as much as you might want to). You really do have to do your research (in terms of design, finishing materials, sourcing those materials, and getting them delivered on time) and know exactly what you want and how you want it, that way, Mike can plan and put into action what needs to be done. After this entire process, we are extremely happy we got this project completed with MDM. What really sets them apart is the quality of work, dependability, and the great people that work for MDM. Shoutout to Mario! They really respected our home and were very considerate of us during construction. Even after everything was finished, they guaranteed that they would come back and fix anything that needed fixing. Cannot recommend them enough if you want to improve or build your new home!

Since this was my first time taking on a project of this scale, I appreciated having their input along the way. I was particularly pleased with the quality of the tile work. Having been through a prior remodel, I've seen a range of outcomes, and the attention to detail here really stood out. After the project was completed and we moved into the house, there were a few typical post-construction items that came up. Daniel and his team, who did the main building, were equally great to work with: steady, reliable, and always keeping the project on track. Alon is a surfer and Shaul plays cello in addition to being fantastic general contractors, and you could feel some of that creative, pacified perspective shaping the way they approached the build.
