They made solid recommendations and were very easy to work with. The job was completed extremely well and the price was reasonable. I would say they actually exceeded my expectations. The new heat pump is amazing: it is nearly silent and yet it does a great job keeping my home warm. Definitely would recommend Elysian to others looking for a quality heat pump installation.

Thankfully, no one was in the room at the time. Messy, dirty, cough inducing insulation particles all over the room. Couldn't even open the door. Dealing with insurance now. Funny thing (not haha) - suddenly, Elysian 'found' all the documentation that my insurance company requested - the very documents they told me they didn't have and were not required to hold beyond 2 or 3 years. And just yesterday (7/5/24) the ceiling in the other room collapsed!! Can't open the door. Drywall and the horrible blown insulation ALL OVER THE ROOM!!! New insurance claim, and now my insurance premiums will probably be unaffordable if they don't drop me altogether. If only Elysian stood by their work, warranty or not, and if only they cared about very valid concerns expressed by past clients, I wouldn't have all this to deal with now. Again: CONSUMER BEWARE!

After talking with one of the guys and explaining our "crappy" situation, he said he would have to sub out the job and up-charge us. So while I have no foundation to comment upon pricing (since eventually BGE is paying for their services), I can and will comment about how impressed I am with T&D's master plumber who followed in the wake of Northern Pipeline's work to replace the gas line to my home. I hadn't taken the time and don't have the technical background to realize that re-piping doesn't end with a new pipe (it looked more like a tube to me), but rather the job is really just beginning when Northern Pipeline has done their own miracle in ensuring that our landscaping wouldn't be harmed. The T&D professional had about a four-hour job, going well past normal business hours, to do in replacing the gas meter and all the strange-looking widgets that service the meter, making sure that no gas is leaking (he was incredibly attentive to that function), getting the venting working right, and re-lighting the gas boiler, the water heater, the gas range, and the standby electrical generator and making sure everything was back in business again. This man was incredibly patient, both with me and with Northern Pipeline, and there was no way he was going to let my wife be without the use of our gas range in preparing food for our Sabbath. I have kind words for how much I appreciate Northern Pipeline for saving our shrubbery, but the real hero of the day was the plumber from T&D (and of course whoever at Northern Pipeline selected T&D to do the inside-the-house part of the project).

Through Yelp, Metavision LLC was a company that promptly inquired about our situation and offered to come and give a free estimate. The gentleman I spoke with, Brian, was very knowledgeable and professional. He came and assessed the situation and assured they would be able to resolve our leak issues. He had to check his schedule and let me know when they would be able to come for the repair. Communication was consistent by phone or text and they were able to come within 3 days. I received the invoice for the work and the amount was reasonably priced compared to the average price for the work we needed done. The day of the replacement, we were in communication before arrival, during service, and after the work was done. Brian was actually very respectful and personable. He was able to answer any questions we had and offered to assist us further if any more problems occurred. I am happy we chose this business for our repair. They are new to Yelp with not a lot of reviews but have been doing business for over a decade. Black Owned Business too, which I am glad to see as this isn't as common in this industry. I am satisfied with their service and highly recommend them if you need any exterior plumbing repairs!

Phenomenal! Value…read moreDry was a referral from another small local company whom I implicitly trust. Markus, their VP, came out to give us a proposal and quote. We then got proposals from two other local companies. Though Value Dry was not the lowest quote, we felt by far the most comfortable using them. And we are very glad we did. Our entire basement, which is entirely below grade, has (had!) water seepage due to hydrostatic pressure (water is forced into the house from underground), especially this last year with all of the rain we've had. And we have a huge basement. Markus proposed a new french drain around the entire interior perimeter of our basement, all of the exterior walls: 210 linear feet in total (we have a big basement). He explained in-depth what they proposed to do and why and how. They also added a second sump pump for us. And a battery back-up pump. They sent a crew of just three guys. Roger was the foreman, and you just have to love that guy. Great personality and he calmly and politely answered every question I had (I'm a detail freak). They were fantastic. They kept everything as clean as possible (not completely, but you can only do so much for concrete dust from jackhammers). Their work was very detail-oriented. It was cool seeing the destruction followed by the construction, laying down the new PVC underground drainage pipes, the new concrete on top of it, etc. Roger and I had discussions throughout the week about how best to do several things, like where and how to place the clean-outs (we have two) for the pipes. Bottom line: Look no further. They are honest. Not too expensive. And they deliver exactly what they say they will. Also, just a few weeks after completing our basement they did a smaller job for my in-laws, also local. They were just as happy with their work and with both Markus and Roger and his crew as we were. So this is really two 5 star reviews in one!

ONE STAR -- VALUE DRY'S RESPONSE IS LONG ON PERSONAL ATTACKS AND SHORT ON ANSWERS TO ITS OWN…read moreDOCUMENTS. I stand by my review of Value Dry Waterproofing. I am posting the documentation below so prospective customers do not have to rely solely on my word--or Value Dry's. I paid Value Dry $8,000 in two $4,000 payments toward an approximately $12,000 project involving my raised house, foundation-related work, masonry, structural supports, and coordination with my house-moving contractor. This is not simply a homeowner saying, "I didn't like the work." This dispute is documented. On July 13, 2026, Value Dry President James Ketterer met with me and prepared a written agreement identifying remaining work, including: * Installing two Lally columns * Removing existing block columns and debris * Patching 12 openings with block/cement * Removing concrete debris Value Dry also wrote that it was working to bring my project to completion pursuant to the agreements. Then came one of the most important admissions in this entire dispute. Value Dry acknowledged in writing that its representative had not properly followed the change-order procedure. I was told Danny should have documented the unforeseen work and additional cost and obtained my signature before proceeding. That matters because Value Dry wanted an additional $1,500 associated with closing/restoring openings after masonry had been removed. This was not merely my allegation that I disliked an extra charge. Value Dry itself acknowledged that the documentation/change-order process should have been handled differently. There were also coordination issues. On July 8, Value Dry told me: "We are scheduled with Wolfe on Friday." On July 9, I responded: "Please continue to communicate with Wolfe. He wants you there when he arrives." Those communications occurred while the project was unfolding--not months later after a dispute developed. Then, when masonry surrounding a temporary support appeared compromised, I sent Value Dry photographs and an urgent written warning on July 14. Value Dry Vice President of Operations Shad Lyle subsequently confirmed that a crew was scheduled to return on July 21. Value Dry also communicated that my project had been specifically placed on the schedule and discussed additional follow-up work. Then everything changed. On July 17, Mr. Ketterer informed me that Value Dry would perform no further work, demand no additional payment, and consider the money already received "adequate compensation." The scheduled July 21 return was canceled. So prospective customers should understand the documented sequence: Written dispute over additional charges President meets with customer Remaining work is reduced to writing Company acknowledges its change-order/documentation procedure was not properly followed Follow-up work is scheduled Structural-support concern is reported July 21 return is confirmed Company withdraws before that return That chronology comes substantially from Value Dry's own communications. What has been particularly disappointing is that, instead of squarely answering these documents point by point, Value Dry's public response has focused heavily on criticizing me personally. Personal attacks do not install Lally columns. Personal attacks do not patch 12 openings. Personal attacks do not explain an admitted failure to follow the proper change-order procedure. Personal attacks do not erase a written agreement. Personal attacks do not explain why work was scheduled and then canceled. And attacking a customer's personality does not transform documented communications into something that never happened. If Value Dry believes anything I have written is materially false, there is a very simple solution: Identify the statement. Identify the date. Produce the document contradicting it. I will apply that same standard to myself. If a document proves I made a factual error, I will correct it. But I will not substitute reputation, friendships, testimonials, marketing, or personal attacks for documents. A company can perform successfully for 100 customers and still mishandle customer 101. Positive experiences from other customers do not erase another customer's contracts, photographs, payment records, emails, scheduling communications, or written agreements.
