Starting out the new year with a bang, literally... My garage door made a very loud noise and wouldn't raise. The door is original to the house from the mid 90's and the torsion spring cracked and side cables broke. Consolidated Garage Doors did the original install as their sticker was still displayed but their company has moved from Addison to Batavia. I called and someone answered right away. They were up front with prices over the phone and had someone out within 48 hours. They did tell me someone would call me about an hour before they showed up but didn't get one. Mike came to our house, assessed the entire unit, and recommended a strip on top of the door also be replaced. He didn't pressure me nor did any sales pitched to upsell me; he gave me the space to think and confirm what I wanted done. Work was completed in 45 minutes as estimated, payment was easy to make on my card without any 3% surcharges, and our door is working great now! I am so happy I was able to call the original install company, I was thoroughly impressed by their initiative to come out and repair items, and like their eagerness to check all other parts while out here. Great group here! read more

After checking out several different businesses in the western suburb, for garage door trim. I decided with "consolidated garage doors". Good location, clean business. The staff was really professional, helpful, pleasant, easy going and concerning to my issues. I was seeking replacement for my motorized door trim. Staff members presented me with a better quality product from what I was previously shown by the competition. Staff also took time to explain the materials. The quality of the materials and how the construction would work and perform. Compared to other trim and materials being used now days. On the comparisons in my research I feel that I've gotten a really good value all the way around in addition to getting the trim replace. I also got garage door tuneup/maintenance service. Since this company has the capabilities of doing other garage work. * I got a better price than my previous Servicers* of the past. read more

I needed a garage door opener installed, Greg got somebody out in less than 24 hours! The technician installed the opener in less than an hour. The opener it is the quietest and smoothest garage door opener I have ever seen. The pricing was very reasonable. It should be no surprise to anyone why this business is so highly rated. I would recommend them to anyone who needs a garage door service or installation. Consolidated Garage Doors is incredible! read more

I was in desperate need early one morning. I called when they opened and someone was here in a little over an hour. He fixed the door and another problem they found at the price quoted. He also looked at my other garage door to make sure it was in good working order and lubricated all joints. Would absolutely call them again. read more

Now, I will give the benefit of the doubt and blame the technician. I called Consolidated to get a routine check on my parents garage door. They installed the door. Technician came out. He was very nice. Gave me the speech on the door is just fine and its one of the older models, so make sure I keep an eye on rollers and lube them well every year. Asked him again if it looked ok, he said looks just fine and they didn't really need the maintenance. He continued to say but i will check everything and make sure everything is good. He was gone in less than 20 minutes. I felt good and parents were happy to just know it was ok. Today, being he was out here less than 4 weeks ago.. Look what happens... BOOM! spring broke. I called and made appointment and Sarah explained its pretty much not there fault. I further investigated the door and this is what I found! Now, their door was fine before i called This was suppose to be a routine check up. It was quite expensive for something that "was in good shape". I have pictures to show and hopefully I can post on here. I tried to do it quietly and write to them, but funny thing is their email link on website didn't work. Soooooo, i will post it here. I never complain about anything much unless its horrible. I just feel this was poor service or milking my retired parents. Either way, not impressed and will have them come out to fix it, but I will never call them again. read more

Excellent service from this operation. Garage door spring replaced the same day it broke. Could not have asked for better service and had the same tech from 9 years ago who had installed by opener. Great employee stability says a lot about the company. Thank you. Terry read more

We first met with Lou at the showroom. He was extremely knowledgeable and very friendly. He offered many options and advice. He suggested we go to the website....you can actually see your house with the door you choose. He also gave us samples of the door colors. On our second visit we decided to change our original plan from an almond color door to a wood look door. Again he took time with us so we'd be comfortable with our decision. Today Troy came to install even quicker than what they said. Troy also was very professional and friendly. He definitely knew what he was doing. We absolutely love our door and are so happy we made the change to the wood look. It looks great with the color tones in the stonework on our house! read more

Won a garage door opener, Liftmaster 8550, at the St. Charles home show in September. I am the world's biggest SKEPTIC for "free" stuff. The options were to pick up the opener myself with no strings attached, or have it professionally installed for $125. I did my research for the pricing of the opener, installation, and extra components; Consolidated didn't overly inflate the pricing, so of course, I opted for the installation and also for an extra remote and extra exterior touch pad for a few extra bucks. From start to finish, this contractor was professional. Mike Matuszek, the owner, answered ALL my questions/concerns regarding compatibility, pricing, any extra costs, everything. The appointment process was painless, the technician (awesome, dedicated, polite, young man) called ahead to say he was on the way and asked if he could start early. The installation was flawless without any pressure to spend more money on parts, components, etc. Plus, I super-LOVE this quiet door opener with the latest security technology, and the automatic light sensor. Highly recommended garage door contractor! Hope your experience with them is as STELLAR as mine. read more

Very impressed with service. My garage door spring broke at 3:30 on Thursday afternoon. By 8:30 Friday morning it was fixed and additional service was done to the door. I did all the communications through their web site and email... it worked great. Prompt and professional. Price was reasonable. read more

Good coordination with the office. They called when he started over from his completed job nearby. Matt was very personable and thorough. Routine maintenance for him and garage doors are operating quieter and he fastened down the lights so they would not be bumped out of alignment. Very happy with the service. read more

This company is AAA. I found them on Yelp and was impressed by their reviews. This company was one of the best I have ever worked with. I filled out their online service request and there was a response when I got up in the morning. They said they could be out that day. I called the office and they gave me a service window plus they called when the service technician was on the way. The tech was friendly and professional and replaced two springs and lubed my garage door in about an hour. The price was the best part, very reasonable. I would recommend this company to anyone, you won't be disappointed. read more

My opener had been on its last legs for a while and broke last night. First thing this morning I went online looking for somebody local to fix it, and found these guys in Batavia. They had an online service request form, and since it was pretty early, and I didn't think they'd be there to answer the phone, I filled in the online form. In about 20 minutes I had an email from Lou T at Consolidated, with prices on a couple of options, and an offer to get it done TODAY. I called and chatted about the choices, and chose one, and he set up an approximate time for installation. As the hour approached, Lou called me again to tell me where the service man was, and how much longer it would be. When he arrived, the repair man was clean and polite and got right to work. He accomplished everything in a very workmanlike manner, taking all of the old opener, the boxes and wires with him, leaving me with a clean garage and a brand new opener, exactly as agreed, and he adjusted the springs on the door too. I couldn't be happier! read more

My garage spring broke on Saturday and I sent an email to Cosolidated. Even though they were closed, I received an email within 30 min and a reasonable quote to replace both springs. Kyle came out today and replaced the springs and he lubricated all the hinges and showed me where to apply the spray. Very informative and he did a great job. I highly recommend them! read more

My old chain drive garage door opener broke, I called Consolidated Garage Doors of Batavia and they responded nearly immediately and had a technician install a new WiFi connected, battery backup, belt drive LiftMaster the next day! The technician was a long time staff member of theirs, was efficient and professional. Their pricing is also competitive. I recommend this company. read more

The level of professionalism and commitment to customer satisfaction that everyone at Consolidated Garage Doors exhibited was above and beyond what I expected. I purchased a very high end aluminum and glass panel door from them. Upon installation the service technician noticed that the top panel was slightly out of line with the rest (something that took me a minute to notice even after it was brought to my attention.) He informed me that they would be contacting the manufacturer to get this addressed and rectified as soon as possible. Additionally, the supporting braces seemed to hang lower than what we anticipated, so I asked if they would see if any adjustments could be made there as well. A few weeks later (without any follow up required by me) they called me to schedule an appointment to come out and make the necessary repairs. They not only replaced the top panel, but they also replaced all of the support bracing with a much lower profile option that allowed for significantly more headroom in the garage. They have gained a customer (and referral source) for life! read more

Thank you so much Consolidated Garage Door, Ltd!. We've had you come out to replace the springs on our door, so you were my first call when my door wouldn't close last evening. I am so grateful you could send somone out today and the gentleman that came was friendly, pleasant and courteous. He diagnosed the motor had seized up on the opener and I guess after 20 years it was time for a new one! The price was better than my husband guessed it would be and the work was done on the spot and in amount of time that was promised. I wouldn't hesitate to use your service again and recommend you to anyone! read more

Unbelievable service--what kind of business replies within minutes (at 7am), troubleshoots your problem, and tells you how to fix it (and saves you the service call), and then they are grateful for the chance to help? This one does. I can only imagine what level of service they would provide if there was something broken. Lou is the BEST! read more
