We are remodeling our master bathroom and it was recommended by our contractor and bath design company that we use Ferguson for our faucets, shower and toilet. When we visited the showroom (we did not have an appointment), a very pleasant and helpful counter person asked Gay Wanner, inside sales, to work with us. Gay appeared to be very irritated to be asked and acted as though we were an imposition. When we asked for help in picking out faucets and a shower, she just told us to go look at the displays and tell her what we liked. When we asked about toilets, she just pointed to a wall and said "there they are". She did not ask any questions or offer any advice. She was very unhelpful. We made some choices and she wrote down our order and said to watch our email for a quote. It has been almost 2 weeks and we have not received any communication from Ferguson. We visited the Koehler showroom in Poulsbo and received excellent service & choices where we made our order and had it filled within a day.

They came out because one of the people showing the house must have tripped the breaker in one of the bathrooms and took out the whole wing of the house. We had SS come in and do repair - the tech said he needed to get a part he didn't have for a 3 way something or other - he billed us then came back the next day, supposedly fixed it, BILLED US another $200 for making the trip and since no one was in the house we thought it was fine. We were in Canada when the 1st buyer fell through and we got a new broker - the next day it was under contract. The sale goes through and they new buyer found that the problem was still there - they called SS and SS sent out another person - the new buyer showed them the bills - paid from us - that said the problem was done. SS said they would fix it - they came in, didn't fix it, sent a bill and then came back, hopefully they resolved the problem by then. SS called us to tell us they were sending someone over to fix it and we explained we had sold the house and closed on the 10th of Nov. Then they sent the bill to us when I KNOW that the new owners had spoken to them and made it clear they were not going to pay AGAIN for something that was not fixed. SS of course blamed it in us - saying it was just a tripped circuit and that they fixed it (they didn't) then saying it was the "next electrician" - it wasn't - Customer service was as inadequate as the technical service. Over charged, over prices and over them!

They made a suggestion to what I needed done that was and incredible improvement. They also cleaned up after themselves like they hadn't even been there. I highly recommend South Sound Electric and am a total fan of IBEW. If you want something done right, go International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers.

We hired Ahearn to install additional outlets in our old house, which had unsafe electrical work in…read morethe kitchen and zero outlets in one bathroom. Chris and an apprentice converted old outlets to GFCI outlets in the kitchen and laundry room and created an entirely new outlet in the bathroom, the new new wiring for which involved Chris crawling around in wastewater from a plumbing leak we didn't know about (old houses are fun like that). Chris was a good sport about the plumbing issue and returned to finish the work after that was repaired and cleaned up. I'd give more stars except for 2 things: 1) at some point when entering or leaving our yard on day 1, Chris and the apprentice broke our (admittedly crappy) gate and left a human-size gap in the planks. Had they told me at the time, I would have understood, because like I said, the gate is old and easily broken. But I only discovered it after they left, and having a missing plank was a security risk that I would have liked to know about sooner so I could fix it during the day. 2) After the job was finished, I found a thin metal rod sticking up out of the bathroom floor, flush with the wall...I imagine it's related to the outlet installation, but it was never explained to me during the process and I'll just have to hide it with a trash can or something. Overall, communication was less than idea. I'm not sure we'll hire Ahearn again, but we do need our knob-and-tube wiring removed, and they do that, so...*shrug emoji*.

He dug ditches and laid the conduit to provide permanent electricity for two freestanding structures on our property, he switched out all the light switches in the house, he corrected some work that a (tv) cable company did, he installed our Starlink and set up power for our exterior security cameras. Most recently, Mac installed all the lighting for what will be our third bedroom (a small freestanding"cabin") including putting in the panel, recessed lighting, a small chandelier, a wall-mounted heater and porch lights. He's been great to work with; always on time, honest, creative in solving problems, does quality work and charges less than we have paid to other electricians.
