Two weeks ago I left my car to be painted (hood and roof) with Philip and his crew. I can say that I could not have left it in better hands. They did a great job on matching the paint and even went above and beyond to fix other little scratches that could use some touch up. I was nervous at first to leave my car with anyone but once I spoke with Philip, I could tell he knew what he was doing. If you need your car painted Philip is your guy. 66 Mustang, 7 months and 29k for body work, paint and assembly. I DO NOT recommend this shop. Imperfections in the paint everywhere. I rejected two delivery attempts and finally accepted it because every time it came back in worse shape. Debris in paint came back as divots. The car was now being left outside in the elements and starting to rust in some places. Carpet was even wet in the back floor pan. Every time I inspected the car the level of anxiety was off the charts. It's probably why I chose to just take the car back. The paint job simply needs to be redone. Assembly issues, windshield, rear glass, pass and driver side glass all damaged. Some lights wires not terminated. Brake light sensor not connected. E brake not working. Missing bolts, list goes on and on. I love my mustang and have taken care of it from from day 1 when my parents gave it to me in high school. This was my first car I ever owned. Conservative autobody showed zero love to my car. Looking back the shop asking for 60% down was a red flag. This was my letter to Phil after their first attempt to turn over. A few items were corrected. Most all the items were not. I am concerned with the quality of the paint and bodywork on this project. The final turnover inspection revealed numerous significant blemishes and preparation issues, indicating inadequate oversight during the process. I expect the paint finish to be uniform, smooth, and blemish-free for me to accept the work. Please ensure all items identified below, which we discussed during the turnover inspection, are thoroughly inspected and corrected before contacting me for a final turnover. Paint and Bodywork Issues: - Multiple clear coat issues, including divots and debris throughout the coating. - Discoloration/overspray visible under the clear coat in several areas. - Roof rail sash was not prepared correctly and painted over. - Body panel transitions (hood and trunk jambs, tape lines) are not smooth. - Unfinished paint in recessed areas around front and back lighting lamps. (this was completed in the rear only) - Front nose finish is dull on some horizontal surfaces. - Rear bumper sticks out on the driver side. (re fit to acceptable threshold). - Trunk gap elevations are off. - Hood elevations are off. - White compounds in panel gaps and around windows need to be removed. - Trunk jambs were not prepped and painted. - Black window trim is scratched. - Interior dashboard touch up needed at the column and glove box. Missing/Uninstalled Items: - Hood and door rubber bumpers are not installed. - Painted door plugs are not installed. - Heater knobs are missing. - Blinker rod is not installed. - Under dash light/license plate light is not installed. - Rearview mirror and driver side mirror are not installed. Mechanical Issues: - Passenger door does not operate. - Seats are not secured properly. - Window triangle on the passenger side is very loose. - Glove box light needs attention. - Dash gauges are full of filler dust. (shop resolved this). - Both driver and passenger side windows are badly scratched and need to be replaced. (shop deducted 1k off final cost). read more

Have a 69 Plymouth Roadrunner that I wanted restored. Was quoted a price and they hauled my car away. Expecting it to look like a new car when it was finished. All my windows leak, none of the gages on the dashboard work. Asked to have seatbelts installed, only installed back seat belts. Only one of the two back up lights work. Gas tank fill is behind the rear license plate frame, flip frame missing. Installed a radio but did not put an antenna with it. Shop was recommended to my mom for a repair for her classic camaro after if was hit. Phillip was nice on the phone and in person and they have plenty of cool cars in the shop but after seeing the work I'm not sure how. They were basically given free reign to write what they needed for repair, repair was completed very fast. When picking up the car was told that they cleared the whole car because the paint was fading so they threw that in as a free bee. Well upon closer inspection the real reason was they must not have been able to do an accurate color match and blend because the front valance and rear body panel were not painted and the color was very different. On top of that there were many fish eyes and dirt nibs ,fish eyes and a lot of sanding scratches. When I called and brought this to Phillips attention he had me bring the car in to color match the m painted panels and re buff the car. After receiving the car back the second time there are still many fisheyes that are smoother but still there and the repair to the door is also visible and you can even feel the end of body filler. It's like it was a rush job, and I don't understand why because I made it very clear that time is not an issue. After bringing up all the problems still present I was told they will try to do better next time, so I am on my own to fix this lame body work, stay away with any thing you care about, they can slap something together quick though. read more
