I went into this Conn's last Friday and 2 weekends prior. Let me start with the visit two weekends prior: As a working college student, I'm building my credit. I applied for $400 in credit to potentially purchase a mattress. 10 minutes later, I get a called saying I'm approved for $4,000 and to come in and ask for someone. Well, I wait a couple of days and go into the store. A guy with a tan complexion, kind of chubby, New York or New England accent comes up to me and I start saying I'm looking for a bed, but I've never spent more than $500 on a complete bed set. You can just tell he started not trying anymore and kind of was short with me and made me uncomfortable and I left. I go back last Friday to look for a laptop for my mom and to buy me a TV. Well, a man by the name of Simon approached my mom and I in the best way possible, I was looking forward to going through with him to buy a laptop and super nice TV. Well it turns out he happened to me be helping another customer, so a muslim/middle-eastern salesman came to approach us. He saw us looking at the TV's and I said I only wanted to look at a Toshiba laptop that was around $468 dollars. He said something along the lines of "What happened to the TV's you were looking at?" when he got that I was only interested in the cheapest laptop they had. Then he says that it was a floor model laptop and that it wouldn't come with the charger or battery because it's the last floor model they have and I said "well that's okay, I can order that online because I love the reviews it has and the price" and his response..."What about that laptop, do you like?"...are you kidding me man? I couldn't believe he said that. He was literally trying to get me to buy laptops that were way above what they are worth and to get me to go back to the TV's. I treat EVERYONE as if they had families and other stuff going on because you never know, so I'm nice to EVERYONE. But man, I've had it with Conn's salesmen. Other than Simon, I swear, they've all just been terrible. I'm never, ever, EVER, going to go back and I tell all of my family and friends about my experiences. If you're going to buy something from here, I recommend doing it online, but check other prices elsewhere at other stores, because chances are you're going to be made uncomfortable. You can just read reviews about Conn's on glassdoor, I just don't think their salesmen are trained correctly, because a lot of the employees complains are directed towards upper management. I really hope someone notices this review because Conn's was easily one of the worst experiences I've had when shopping for items. I bought over 12,000 of furniture about 4 yrs ago, and paid it off last year. They were very professional and helped me with all my needs. Well, I decided to go to the spring location and got the runaround I had a bad experience there. I will never go there again. So I wanted to buy more things so I went back to Willowbrook location. I called 1st, and Ariel answered the phone. He was very cheerful and polite. I liked his attitude so when I went in I asked for Ariel. He was awesome. He fixed all my problems I had at the spring location. He helped me with all my needs. Made sure he got everything I was taking home, and checked with the manager before I left so there would be no mistakes. GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! I am very happy now. Ariel is an awesome person. financed a king sized icomfort memory foam mattress and adjustable frame one week ago at conns willowbrook location. i tried to return everything prepared to pay a 15% restock fee 4 days after the delivery. the sales lady named,keo, at the time of my purchase in the store , did not explain that there is a no refund no exchange no trial periods policy on all furniture once the plastic has been removed from the item unless the delivery employees see and document manufacturer damages at the time of delivery. buyer be educated, buyer read the fine print; buyer beware. shop around many other mattress stores have a 7 day, 14 day, 30 day or even a 100 day return policy on mattresses and furniture!! with conns you are stuck with it!! beware beware beware beware read more

Went to the store on Oct 31 and bought a $2000.00 refrigerator. As is usual the customer service reps were circling like sharks once you step in the door. But hey, guess you have to live with this. No way to shop and just look around. Anyway, bought a refrigerator. On Nov. 11 the price dropped $400.00. Well we financed the refrigerator the first time and had to redo the contract for the price savings. Went through that process, got my confirmation email saying the contract was signed and approved. I reached out to the finance company to set up payments and they told me that Conn's had not released the information for them to access. Thus they couldn't help me. I called the store and they told me to call the 1- 800 number. Called the that number and they only showed the first contract and had no info on the second contract. So I called the store back and got put on hold for 15 minutes. Hung up from that, waited 30 minutes and called back. Got a sales associate and he stated that my sales associate had been sick the last couple of days but he would call her and see what if anything needed to be done. That his computer showed the contract as completed. He stated he would call me back. Never got that call. Weekend came and went. I am now technically behind on my first payment thanks to their inability to take care of their own financial business. Just got off the phone with a manager and he is working on it and said he would give me a call back as well. He asked if I had spoken to an associate because they handled all the financial stuff! Love the fridge and installation went well. They just can't get their stuff together enough to tell me how to pay them. But I bet it will show up on my credit report as a late payment! I have wasted too much time on the phone with their billing office. Every time I call things only get worse. I have had two accounts, both paid in full, on time every single time. Conns was automatically debited every single month. They have falsely reported one of the accounts as charged off, never paid to the credit bureaus. I have faxed all the information. I have proof from the bank of each payment. Still not enough I guess. Billing must pass on your request to correctly report to the credit bureaus to some mystery "offline" credit department no one is allowed to communicate with. When I speak to the billing department they do reflect anything except payments were on time. So because a lot of us are at home with not much to do I decided to submit copies of all my accounts with the Texas comptroller, because I'm sure since they say the account was uncollected they did not pay the sales tax. I also wrote the IRS because I'm pretty sure the charge off was not included profits. And the Texas Attorney General for good measure. Oh I almost forgot, also the Sec. We finally got the service dept to come out n told us the left section of our reclining sofa needs to be replaced. 5 weeks later conn's calls n said the entire sofa will be replaced. Fine, the sofa was replaced 2 weeks later. NOW the same exact defect is present in our replaced sofa. The left cushion is gone, n my wife sits there n she's only 120 lbs. I hate this furniture n will never buy another anything from conn's! read more

this is the worst conn's ever costumer service is terrible when we went there to buy our washer dryer and refrigerator everything was nice whenever we where paying for everything. after we left and we stared to have problems with the delivery and with the things that we bought the sales person disnt want to answer are call the front desk representative who answers the calls is a total rude as bitch and even the managers dont care at all. i would give it zero stars but it wont let me buecause this place sucks. the only manager who seems to care a little but is a white older dude with a little beard always wearing a a white shirt my respect to that guy the only person who realt cares about the costumers services read more

My husband and I purchased a LG washer and dryer from the Willow Brook Conns location. After about 4 months of our purchase of the washer , our machine began sending error codes and would not complete washing of a load . We purchased the warranty .... and a service technician was sent out . He could not fix the issue and needed to order a part for the machine - it took almost 2 weeks for him to come out to complete the repair ( we are still paying on our machines) I had to go to the laundry mat and was very inconvenienced and upset that a washing machine only 4 months old was giving us HORRIBLE problems, even worse Conns treated us like the problem was ours - they could care less how we were being inconvenienced , all they cared about was how we rated them- THEY ARE HORRIBLE - PLEASE DONT BUY FROM THESE PEOPLE - What they are can be found in there company name CONNS. My machine is BROKE again after being repaired 3 weeks ago with the new part installed . Based on my experience at the Conn's @ Willowbrook this organization does not care about customer service at all. I was misled, lied to, and ignored by the store manager and district manager. If you are looking for a company that believes in customer service this is not the place. I also got no resolution calling their customer resolution department. read more

I Read all the reviews before going to see if they were really all that bad ! Well let's start off by soon as you walk in I felt like I was being attacked by a pack of dogs let people shop ! 2nd I was interested in a purchase big a laptop I got pre-Approved online already so why not try 1st mac book is priced 250-300$ over the online price. I asked to see how much it would be monthly do I waited..... Here's the catch they asked to see my lease to my apartment what if I don't rent? What's that have to do with anything when I pay utility bills to? Then they go monthly $171 down payment $372 but you can't leave with the product today?!??! We have to make sure you are verified?? The worst customer service in the history of sales. I was sold a used dryer as a new one. When I complained with documentation and pictures I was told I should have purchased an extended warranty. I had know I was payin full price for a USED dryer I might have considered the warranty, but I was told the dryer was new. The manager is unable to make any decisions, or take any action. his job is just to listen while customers yell at him (hope he is paid very well) His only comment is I can not do anything but give you a customer serivce phone number - customer service can not do anything either - but repeat should have purchased extended warranty. Purchased Samsung one-connect Friday night. Set it up on sat and saw that the picture was horrible. I called them after seeing this and asked if I could return it. Anthony said he would call me back. I never got a call back. So on Sunday I called again asking to return it and buy the LG which was $400 more. He said I could but I would have to pay to 15% restocking fee. I asked to speak to a manager since I would be giving them more money to see if they would waive the restocking fee. I was put on hold for 20 mins and they never picked up. My wife called spoke to our sales person and he said the restocking fee is company policy. He said he would talk to a manager and call us back. That never happened. So called again put back on hold for 20 mins and then they answered and hung up. This is by far the worst experience I have ever had. Why a company would make me pay a restocking fee when I going to give them more money for a better tv. And why cant their managers do there job and take care of their customers. They clearly don't care about the customer only the sale. They don't even explain the restocking fee in the contract, which I should have read. Well from now on I will only buy from Best Buy. The sales people at Conn's did a complete 'con' job on us. They delivered a malfunctioning washer to our home and when the installers could not get the hot water to hook up they said that a "repair person" would come out. We contacted our sales person Irsan Narejo and a repair person came out a week later. He told us the washer needed to be replaced and Conn's would send a new one out by the next week. It has now been 3 weeks and everyone at Conn's including our salesperson Irsan is claiming that they have no record of any repairs or problems with the washing machine and there is nothing they can do except send another repair person out for an $89 service charge. They added that since the repair person cannot come out until next week -we will be over the 4 week deadline to let Conn's know about defects -we will have to pay for any parts and labor on the 4 week old machine that never worked in the first place!! They seem to have a 'coordinated' play to avoid the consumer and act like they are unaware until they are not liable and you are stuck with defective merchandise. read more
