This review is in regards to my hair salon experience…read more I booked an appointment with Nora for the signature haircut. I ended up getting my wash & treatment done with Jesus, since Nora had to take a lunch during the beginning of my appointment (not her fault). Jesus was very kind and the hair wash felt amazing! When Nora came back and it was time to do my hair, she asked what haircut I wanted. I showed two pictures and she let me know based on my current hair, which would work best with my thin hair. I appreciated that since I knew she was the expert in hair! She did her magic and I absolutely fell in love with how my hair currently looks! I'm so happy I booked Nora. Her customer service, her knowledge, how she made me feel in the chair, was amazing. I can't wait to be back for my next cut with her!

This is my third time going to this store in a couple of years. Each time it has been bad. The…read moreowner I felt with rushed the sale even though I wasnt sure about the product. She told me if that wasn't the right one to bring it back with receipt for a full refund even though they don't do refunds. It wasn't the right product. I took it back the next day she wasn't there but one of the older worker with her nasty attitude didn't want to try and help. All she kept saying was no refunds after I told her what the owner said. Then I asked to call her and she didn't. I cussed her out. The other lady proceeded to help me. Even though we never got a hold of the owner she helped me exchange for other things. But rest assure I will never give these types of businesses my money again. This is what happens when I go out of my community based (blk owned bus) and is pretty much why our people don't get along. They try and treat us light dirt. But I'm hear to tell you you will never succeed with that attitude and why your store looks like an outlet instear of a supply store. So thumbs down to this messy store. I'm stopping no one from doing business with them but I wouldn't suggest them to a dog. Have a nice day. ps yelp made me post a star but they don't deserve that one star. Also the reviews that you see that says they are good are dated more than five years ago. This store looks like an outlet peddling fake products. Don't believe do a comparison with a product from another entity with the same one from here and notice the difference. Trust me I've done it. Same name and label. And yes I'm very p o'd at them. Third time is a charm.

They also carry a small selection of Asian beauty care products. I spotted a couple of face masks, eye patches, and the biggest steal for me was the 60 Korean pimple patches for $7.99. Employees are nice. This store is located in a busy plaza, next to Walmart. They have a wide selection of false lashes featuring: strip lashes, lash clusters, magnetic lashes, and more. They have something for every lash lover from natural styles to dramatic ones. There's also several unique lashes that I typically don't see at mainstream beauty stores or online. One thing to note is the store sells some dupe items such as fragrances and bags. They're obvious dupes, so not an attempt to mislead customers. As with any beauty supply store, it's always a good idea to pay attention when shopping, as some beauty supply stores carry dupes alongside authentic products.

We came by on a Saturday, so a swap meet was occurring on the northern part of the parking lot. There was still a good amount of parking near the actual Alpine Village area, so the swap meet didn't affect parking too much. Alpine Village Cosmetics is on the other end of the Alpine Village, away from the Market. It's near the other smaller shops, such as the toy store, bookstore (which seems to now be closed), antique places, and a shoe store. Alpine Village Cosmetics is a good-sized shop with a lot of products concentrating on bath items (e.g., soap, shampoo, deodorant, hand soap, lotions, etc.), with some candies/mints, too. Eleonore kindly greeted us when we walked in, and offered any assistance if we had questions. Super-helpful when we had questions, and provided suggestions based on products that we picked out. We actually found this place by looking up on where Nivea is sold, and bought several other German-based products to try out. It was a lovely shopping experience, and we're looking forward to visiting again!
