I booked my appointment vía Yelp and received a confirmation within 24 hours. About 10 days later, when it became apparent that we weren't going to be ready on our original moving day, I called and asked to reschedule. Ethan accommodated me immediately and sent me a second confirmation without any hesitation. On the day of our move the gigantic truck rolled up 15 minutes ahead of schedule and the guys got to work! And damn, did they work HARD! I was only 95% ready for them so I kept packing up the last minute things while they hauled ass up and down the flight of stairs to our second floor apartment. They took one 15 minute break (No complaints from me! They deserved that, and more!) and then went back to work. At the end of FOUR HOURS the truck was packed and we were off to the new location. The guys grabbed an incredibly fast lunch in between places and were back on the job in less time than it took for Ethan to park the truck where he wanted it and have a look around. They worked for THREE MORE HOURS - again, up and down the stairs - and even took the time to make sure our boxes got to the right rooms. The whole time they worked I didn't hear a single complaint; not even an annoyed look or tone of voice. If they complained behind our backs...WHO CARES?! They kept every interaction professional and pleasant. (If our positions had been reversed I'd have been crying the whole day because I'm weak and old! ) The whole experience was great, from beginning to end. When it was done I felt like my "thank you so much" didn't even begin to express the extent of our gratitude for the amazing job they did. The final price was reasonable and we chose to tip each guy $30 for their exceptional work. In talking to someone later, I discovered that it's not typical to tip movers and all I can say is WHY NOT?! They're working their butts off and I could never have done the move without them! We had an in state move from the Albany area to Sullivan County and it proved to be a lot more difficult than originally planned. (This was totally on me.) We re-negotiated the original, very generously low price and were able to get a very tough move on the road. Once they got to my house, the crew got everything off their trucks, and were able to assemble the beds they brought, and got everything done that was possible to be done. They ended up leaving our new home very late, but they got everything done great. My partner are very thankful we found them and recommend their moving services to anyone in the Capital Region.

That turned out to be a huge mistake. The movers arrived and didn't speak to me or even made eye contact. When my furniture was delivered, I was shocked by the amount of damage. Several pieces of solid cherry furniture had dents, scratches, and gouges, and it appeared that little or nothing had been properly secured inside the truck. They broke a large umbrella holder and tossed it in the snow without telling me. They also damaged walls and put dents in my expensive front door while moving furniture through the house. My floor safe worked perfectly before the move, but afterward I had to destroy it just to get it open. They never explained why they refused to move a large computer desk or my matching Queen Anne recliners. They also failed to reconnect my convertible bed, leaving wires hanging out everywhere. Over the years I spoke with and emailed multiple employees, completed forms, and submitted photos multiple times. Each time I was told to resubmit documentation, and then I would hear nothing back. To this day I have not been reimbursed for any of the damages, which would supposedly be based on weight. This is by far the worst moving company I have ever dealt with. I would strongly caution anyone considering using them.

Also, our household goods arrived in excellent condition without evidence of shifting, which to me indicates that the driver took great care in hauling the load. On both ends, the drivers also worked to position the trailer in the most advantageous spot for loading and unloading. The three days to load and unload are more than ample if you are organized ahead of time in your planned packing and unpacking. As a final note, everyone I spoke with in making the reservation and throughout the move was professional, personable, and helpful.
