I've visited Connie Le's office before and was never charged a "preventative care new patient" fee. On my recent annual check-up, I received two separate bills: one from the lab for over $300 (with insurance, due to endless tests the doctor recommended) and another from the clinic for nearly $200. I called the clinic multiple times to ask why I was charged a new patient fee when I'm not a new patient. Each time, they blamed my insurance. I even set up a three-way call with my insurer, who confirmed that the fee was coded by the clinic... but the clinic continued to deny responsibility and offered no resolution???? One rep even hung up on me. In addition to that, I tried to add my medicaid to see if they would cover my remaining bill, they said they dontaccept my insurance, and that they didn't even accept my insurance back then (which i have EMAIL proof of them confirming they took my insurance). Terrible customer service. They definitely care more about money than patients. Liars as well. I wouldn't recommend this clinic to anyone! read more

Someone close to me is on Medicaid and for some reason the practice sent my mother an invoice. Medicaid patients should never be required to bear out of pocket expenses. Not knowing, my mom went ahead and paid the invoice. This is bs and I am tempted to contact the BBB! read more

Dr Connie Le is all about making money, they make you take tests that aren't required. They then leave you fending alone against your insurance and you are stuck with the bills. We have been calling doctor Connie Le's office since July regarding this billing issue and spoke with Jessica regarding a letter so that we may appeal through the insurance. We called again months letter and another office staff answered, we explained to her that we needed help with billing and her response was Jessica is on vacation. I guess Jessica is the only one who could help with billing! After countless of calls and false promises from Jessica that she'd send that letter, we have not gotten any real helpful response from this office. Update: after leaving this review & another voice message, they've finally called back. Too little too late. Be careful & pay attention to their billing practices. read more

This place so far wasn't as bad is I thought it might be, or the negative reviews I saw. We will see what happens when the bill comes in. The blood work seems to be the biggest thing that takes care of most of the physical stuff. When I read about some signs of cancer, I asked the doctor about it. She says she will be checking for that as no more in the blood work. I wanted both the blood work and the Dre ( A rectal examination, commonly called a prostate exam, is an internal examination of the rectum, performed by a healthcare provider)just to be safe, but she struck me as the type that does not want to get her hands dirty. I did get my diabetic medicine so that is saying something. Acquiring it at the store took time and was a pain in the ass. I had to call the doctor's office to get this problem fixed. One of the signs I read about being a diabetic is the need to urinate a lot. I read this as a sign of cancer so it is why I asked for the dre as well...she did not want to check...she said she will check the blood work first and go from there...I am starting to think I did not make myself clear, but we are beyond that now. I also noticed there were no gloves in the examining room. This is the first doctor's office I have been to where medical gloves were not visible. I will see what happens after I get my bill. DO NOT go to this doctor. She is seriously a B.I.T.C.H. I had been going here for a few years. They are fast and efficient, I give them that. Today I called and had a simple question that could be answered in 2 seconds. I was put on hold cause the receptionist answered with, "please hold" and I didn't have a chance. I was on hold for 11 minutes and then was hung up on. Called back. Same exact thing happened after 8 minutes this time. Called back 4 more times and kept going directly to voicemail. I ended up writing an email to the doctor, I happened to have her personal email and told her what had happened. I also told her about how last year during my physical she had neglected to give me my referral for a mammogram (I need a special one for being under 40 and "high risk"). She had spent less than 3 minutes in the exam room with me that time. I ended up having to go back a few days later to get the document that I needed. In my email to her I told her I appreciated the fast, efficient service in the office but that it shouldn't come at the cost of care. After all a doctor's number one job is to give Care. In response she told me (paraphrased) "obviously you are unhappy with our service and I will be happy to forward your medical records to your next PCP" Fast and efficient customer service is always a plus but not when you're treated like the way I was. "Doctor" Le, I believe you are in the wrong industry because you know nothing about what it means to Care for someone. Knowledge and efficiency isn't all you need to be a good and effective doctor. The worst. She was my boyfriend's primary care doctor. He has history of lymphoma in the past, currently going through chemotherapy for stage 4 colon cancer. The 2-3 years he saw her annually for check-ups, she never bothered to check any other levels which could have indicated colon cancer earlier. Recently, he ran out of his thyroid medicine and she refused to send his prescription to his pharmacy unless he comes to see her. He goes in for blood work every 2 weeks for chemo.. and she's affiliated with INOVA.. she couldn't have requested the thyroid blood test? She has access to all his records. This sounds to me she just wants money from co-pay. We can't even hope for a 100% cure, only thing we can hope for is better quality of life for him. But because she did not send the prescription and he was out of thyroid meds, this resulted in a domino effect. His liver functions are failing, rapid accumulation of ascites, he can't eat, and he can't sleep. This doesn't sound like a doctor who cares for her patient. And to this day, she never apologized for being oblivious and overlooking annual check ups. Compassion? Committed? Caring? Who? Where? Unforgivable. read more

Also she is very compassionate and takes into account the patient's entire life. When my husband was diagnosed with lung cancer, she gave me kind and thoughtful advice on how to manage the situation. I went to Dr. Le twice now, each time a very long wait, about an hour each. She seems nice enough, and pleasant and knowledgeable, but does practically nothing and changes you for it. The 2nd visit was supposed to discuss my transferred medical records to see what tests I'd had, when I got there, it seems they never received them, even though it had been months since I signed their forms requesting them from previous doctor in the old location. I had recently moved to the Annandale area. I waited an hour to discover the appointment was a waste, and she charged me $551.00, which for some reason my Medicare and supplemental insurance are not paying, they probably are not coding their billing properly, I never had this problem with my last PCP who I had for years. I will change doctors, I am very disgusted with the office's seeming interest for your insurance money, but have no respect for patients time. read more

Just like any good restaurant....anything good is worth waiting for and Dr Le is certainly worth the wait. I've been going to this practice every three months faithfully now for over 8 years and wouldn't change a thing. My insurance does not even participate but I still go. Went to visit Dr. Le for my physical and she made it a pleasant visit. The space is welcoming and the staff are super friendly.

I have been seeing Dr. Le for over 10 years but am leaving the practice because of her and her staff's inability to refill a prescription that I needed while out of town. They would not do it without a visit even though medically no bloodwork was required and if I didn't take the medication I would experience horrible side effects. I was treated very poorly and am finding a new doctor because of it. I ended up going to urgent care (and paying for it obviously while I was out of town) so that I could get my medication. The doctor where I was visiting listened to my situation and refilled my prescription within 5 minutes! I'm very sad because I really liked and trusted Dr. Le and her PA Sarah but I just can't go back there after not being treated with compassion and being left to experience horrible side effects! read more

My wife and I have been patients of Dr Connie Le for a few years now. The medical staff is friendly and professional. We did have repeated issues with Michelle, the receptionist; who is extremely rude, condescending, and unprofessional. I wrote an email to Dr. Le (via the website) regarding our encounters with Michelle with very little expectations of it being addressed. To my surprise, Dr Le replied within minutes (it was quite late when I wrote the email) asking for more details and assuring she will speak with Michelle. I am totally impressed and commend Dr Le for her concerns of her patients. We were ready to leave and look for a new primary care practitioner, but Dr Le's immediate actions in dealing with the matter convinced us to stay. Nothing special - rude receptionist, doc sees you for a min -not thorough at all. But then they will charge your insurance for things not done. You're just $, it's not at all about the patient's care. Doc told me to come back for a follow-up after my physical, which I did. After waiting for 45 mins, they put me in a room and the doc came in only to read off the sheet of paper (everything was fine), she never even examined me and charged me the $35 co-pay. Any other doctor would have given the info over the phone or not charged anything since no real additional service was rendered (reading the results is something she would've had to do anyway). Would advise AGAINST going there if you want actual care. read more

Saw the nurse practitioner once and she was very good. Knowledgeable and excellent bedside manner. Dr Le's bedside manner leaves room for improvement. Kept patients waiting for 2 hours and didn't so much as bother to have staff inform patients of this delay ahead of time or even once people arrived. So disrespectful and arrogant to treat patients that way. She did seem knowledgeable however. Also blood tech had to draw 4 times to get it right and after all that forgot to draw one of the ordered tests. Ugh. read more

I've been going to Dr. Le's office for years and shes always been great to me, up until this point. I have respiratory problems which landed me in the hospital because Dr. Le refused to see me in person, and didn't take me seriously when I told her it's getting worse through a virtual call until I came back to her office for a check up (because it's legally required). Their staff never returns my phone calls or even bothers to email me about anything important. I told them to give my job a call if it's necessary especially since I've been going to their office more often and they NEVER do! They ring my phone 99% of the time. Once I try giving them a phone call back either it goes to voicemail or someone declines it. I have tried numerous times to get in touch with the office during their business hours and no one answers even though there's at least two people at the front desk. Do yourself a favor and find a office that actually cares. Their office seems to only care when you get sick to the point where you have to go to the hospital OR benefit them financially. Extremely unprofessional, non-communicative, poor bedside manner. Office staff claim to return calls, but never seem to leave messages. How are patients to know you called? Would not return pharmacy's calls re: refill requests for weeks. I had to call to request refills several times before finally being told doctor will not refill prescriptions by phone. Why not explain this during the first call? Or let the pharmacy know instead of ignoring patient and professional requests? Why wait until patients run out of meds? Waited weeks for lab results. Finally called office and was yelled at by staff that "I" had not returned "their" calls. Was told I had to make another appointment to get results... to be told I was fine. This could have been communicated to me over the phone, without a another copay, and without having to leave work in a panic thinking something was gravely wrong! I've been seeing Dr Connie Le since last year. I did have to get used the wait times, but once I've adjusted my expectations on that front, everything has been great. My recommendations to new patients is to expect to wait, even with an appointment. Dr Le does utilize student assistants, so expect to review your reason for appointment and have your history and vitals discussed with them first. Once Dr Le or one of her other providers come in, the appointment is thorough and quick. Today I saw one of her NPs, Sarah, who was wonderful. The staff and the providers all seem knowledgeable, experienced, friendly, and truly care about your health and well-being. I have been extremely disappointed in this office over the past year. They are distinctly uninterested in the health of their patients. It has been nearly impossible to communicate with the office when a prescription needs a refill. They do not provide any appointment reminders or calls to patients, and will not respond to pharmacist requests for refills. At one point, I waited over 2 hours after being put in a room to see Dr. Le. And when she did come in, she performed the exact same routine as the PA who had placed me in the room. Dr. Le is a nice person and seems smart and caring. I have been visiting this practice for a few years, but will be finding a new GP, due to a series of issues described below. (1) The office is heavily reliant on using blood tests for diagnosis-- which seems to be more of a method to bilk patients coming for an annual check-up for TWO office visits, since a follow-up to "discuss" your results is always inevitable. (2) This reliance on blood tests led to a misdiagnosis for me--a referral to a specialist, additional tests, medication, and stress. I was not experiencing any symptoms, but the response from the office was very knee-jerk. The specialist was openly upset and critical about Dr. Le's office and their approach to care. (3) The wait times are also very long for any appointment (which makes having to do a follow-up annoying and inconvenient). (4) Communication from the office is terrible and they do not seem to have reliable billing practices. When a pharmacy has needed additional information from the doctor, their office does not respond unless it is a simply "one-click" authorization. Anything more complicated--even if you call the office, or tell the doctor in person, goes unaddressed. Often, I am not asked to pay my co-pay upon check out; on my last visit (w/i the last few months), I was asked to pay a co-pay that is different from my insurance company's amount. Recently, I received a bill in the mail (the first notice to me!) for an overdue payment from over a year ago. read more

I am in search of a new doctor, and used my insurance's website to find a doctor that accepts my insurance. When I called Dr. Le's office a girl answered and started asking for my info. She then asked what insurance I have. I told her, and she said oh currently we are not accepting your insurance. I let the girl know that Dr. Le is currently listed as accepting new clients and my PPO insurance. The girl said, "I know. We just are not accepting that insurance right now." If this is the case you should not have the office listed as accepting this insurance and new clients! read more

I just started going to Dr. Connie Le a few months ago. I came from a doctor where I had been going for quit some time. Thought I was getting "good" care at the other doctor until I came to Dr. Le. I probably would have had a stock/heart attack by now if it wasn't for Dr. Le being so thorough she found out within the first visit that my Blood Pressure was real high and got me on different medication which now for the first time in years my BP is under control. My other doctor never believed me and every time they checked it on their antique machine it was always reading "normal" they said. Doctor Le also found I have emphysema and has this being treated. She always no matter what takes the time to explain everything to you, takes the time to listen to you, she takes the time to make sure your health taking care of and she gets you on a plan to help you live a better heathier life. She is not too bad of a doctor. But her office? Absolutely, the worst. The staff is disorganize....called in 3 times, 3 different day to call in for a refill on 1 prescription. First time, a receptionist said she will ask the doctor if I need to come in or not for a prescription. If not, they will just call it in to the pharmacy. They never called me back. 2nd day, called in spoke to a different receptionist, she actually ask the doctor and replied that the doctor agrees to call in the script but I have to come in soon for a follow up. I waited and nothing from the pharmacy. 3rd time....no answer at all. I was even placed on hold for 15mins. By the weekend, still no script. I told them I really NEED this medication.
