Nachos

Update: We came back for happy hour drinks and appetizers and it's also a great spot for HH. Ambiance: I like the vibe, it's not too quiet but so loud that you can't talk. They have really nice seating outside and inside. The indoor seats with the open windows is a very nice spot. The teal colored theme enhances the restaurant. HH: $9 margaritas are such a huge win! They let you mix flavors and the margaritas are well made and delicious. Food: We got the nachos as a shared appetizer. They are well portioned and had a good mix of all the ingredients. We also got the chips and salsa. You can tell the salsas are freshly made and they were well seasoned. Service: Staff was very friendly and checked in on us often. Water was always filled quickly and food and drinks came out fast. Great spot for tacos. I've dined in and taken out at Conmigo and it was not disappointing both times! The ambience of the place is so nice. It's a great date night spot or even just a dinner spot with friends. It's one of the few places in NYC that has pretty good tacos. As a vegetarian, I've only got the impossible taco as an option which is disappointing compared to other places in the city. However, the impossible taco is delicious and they have great vegetarian appetizers as well. I like their honey empanadas, a very unique appetizer for sure. Their beans and rice are also vegetarian friendly which is a bonus. Their cocktail list is like most typical places but the drinks were good. When we've had Conmigo delivered to us, I was very impressed with the packaging. Out tacos held up and the food was still somewhat hot and tasted just as good as in the restaurant. I do think the prices are a bit steep for the quality and quantity which has contributed to my star rating.

This place has a great bottomless drink and taco deal but the only downside is that if one person at the table gets it, everyone else has to as well. Fortunately it didn't disappoint - the tacos were delicious and came in a great variety. They also had a big selection of flavored margaritas but I noticed the amount of flavor put in was inconsistent which made some taste better than others.

This was a busy restaurant on a Sunday afternoon so I was expecting a great meal! Unfortunately the brisket taco was really dry and did not have any flavor, same for the rice and beans. The margarita was good and bartender was friendly.

The service and food was amazing. The perfect holiday lunch at conmigo was had! The guac was fresh and the perfect temp for the tortilla. I also loved the street corn though I prefer it on a cob is was served in a dish. The salsa was great as well. Tacos are hella expensive in NY, but I did enjoy my shrimp tacos with a cheese tortilla. It was bursting with flavor. The number one contender at the table was the fish tacos. Highly recommended. And if you're feeling a tacoless night the steak was done medium well to perfection.

Taco Flight

Came here on a Sunday afternoon for lunch. Not having food all day and just getting done with the gym, I was going to stuff my face with something. That turned out to be tacos. Conmigo sold a Taco Flight ($42) which came with 8 tacos of your choice of the 9 tacos they offered. I did one of each except for the Impossible. For sure did not disappoint. The Barbacoa and Short Rib were on the dry and greasy side. My favorites were the Mahi-Mahi and Spicy Shrimp. And yes I finished the entire flight and was stuffed.

Came here on a Sunday afternoon. Was in the mood for tacos and researched on Yelp and found Conmigo. The place was bright and clean. Started off with street corn which was not exactly what I expected, it was served in a bowl which tasted good. I wanted to try a variety of tacos so ended up getting the taco flight which comes in 8 tacos. Got the carnita, short rib, pastor, barbacoa and fish tacos. They were all solid, my favorite was the carnitas. If you're in the mood for tacos with great service I would highly recommend this spot. * street parking * bottomless brunch available

Oh my goodness! i want to come back already!! First of all, the service was so, so good - the manager took amazing care of us and the service was very fast and friendly. The inside is dimly lit, had lots of people enjoying the food for a Tuesday night and had great music playing not too loud which was awesome! FOOD: Get the birria quesadilla!!!! I didn't get a picture of it, bc i ate it SO FAST. Its not too oily like other quesadillas and it was still super tasty. I also really enjoyed and would recommend the chicken flautas, the tacos and the tres leches was the cherry on top. Can't wait to be back - when I'm in UES with friends I'll be back here!

Conmigo was definitely my go to spot when I worked in the area as they always had good happy hour deals. The drinks are delicious, the food items are pretty good as well not always memorable but they do the trick when drinking. The service here is always attentive even when only one person is attending to the restaurant. The overall ambiance is pretty busy, good music to listen to and have a great after work vibe for everyone. On this unexpected visit, I got a delicious burrito and sangria. Definitely recommend if in the area!

Spicy Honey Empanadas

Could have been better. None of us were completely satisfied with our dishes Tacos - People thought the tortilla was too doughy. 3/5 Street Corn - Would have been better if it tasted charred or grilled. 3/5 Spicy Honey Empanada - thought this was the best thing we had, but it wasn't wow. 3.5/5 Cuban Torta - too salty. 2.5/5 Shrimp Fajita - again, maybe a charred or grill flavor would taste better. 3/5.

We had heard good things about this place and man did it dissapoint. Everything and I mean everything just tasted like it had been frozen and just reheated with literally no seasoning or flavor. Also, I usually don't care about price but for this quality of food the pricing of the food was outrageous. As far as the service and ambiance it was a fun restaurant and all the workers were awesome. I say go try it for yourself and give it a chance!

Needed a later dinner option. This place is nice, inviting, and lively too. Seated and served immediately. Everything we had was great. 4 starts because the queso cheese has meat it in. I ordered the nachos and had to get it with salsa instead of cheese. The impossible taco was great. I would return just for the taco.

Pretty place

An updated review since they have added vegetarian options to the menu. I try to eat low fat vegan so don't eat their vegan tacos. But they have added an amazing vwgatarian burrito that has become my comfort food. When I am home (been traveling a ton), this is my go to place for an easy evening either by myself or with family. They have really upped their game with food and service is as stellar as always. A true neighborhood favorite for me.

I was so pleased to see that the quality is amazing and service is exceptional across the board. Be prepared for a line at this location, since it's close to a lot of tourist attractions. Don't let the line intimidate you though, it goes by super fast. Not a lot of space to sit and eat your food, but you'll get the full on Mexican taco stand experience. I recommend at least three tacos if you're hungry. My favorite are the asada tacos and the adobada tacos, but you can't go wrong with anything here. Get your drink there and a slip with your food items on it. Take the slip to the next counter where they prepare it. They're masters at it so they're cranking out a taco probably every 15 to 20 seconds. There's a line of workers operating the grills to get the meat and tortillas ready for the prep guys. So efficient. No seats. You stand and eat which really keeps the turn over rate high. The inside is no frills. Standing room only to eat your tacos and exit. The food is so good. $6 a taco but it's NYC. Love everything about this place and I try to frequent it for a quick bite as often as I can.

The birria tacos were really good (or so my son said) but sadly the taquitos were terrible. They literally just had unseasoned shredded chicken (but serves me right for ordering something so basic). The salsa also tasted more like tomato paste than actual salsa. But again, the goal for this stop was a frozen marg(s) and that mission was accomplished and then were good . The atmosphere was also fun and lively and our server was attentive and never tried to push us out the door despite sitting there for a while!

The energy was flat, and that lack of enthusiasm carried right into the food. The menu needs a complete overhaul. I'm not sure if it's trying to be "different," but the taco options were unappealing just from reading the descriptions. I managed to choose the two best-sounding items I could find, and honestly, they were so bland I don't even remember what they were. The setup and decor were basic. This spot could be a fun hangout, but it would take a better menu and staff who actually seem to care. It feels like just another restaurant that's lost sight of creating an actual experience for guests. The lack of vibe is obvious--if you don't want customers, just say so. I'm giving 2 stars out of respect for the fact that people have to work for a living.

I had this place bookmarked for a while. Finally came for my birthday dinner. It was a rainy…read moreevening and I was hoping there'd be umbrella sleeves offered. I didn't see any but saw buckets for umbrellas. I opted not to leave it there since I didn't wanna forget or risk someone taking it. I took it upstairs with me. My friend had arrived and was seated. Apparently, they do offer sleeves because she got one. But the 3 people who were at the hostess booth failed to offer me one. The beautiful ambiance will get your attention immediately. It is a stunning space. The tableware was gorgeous as well. We waited for our last friend to arrive who was almost half an hour late before ordering (we thought she'd arrive sooner). Our server, Matias was gracious about it the whole time. What we ordered: Drinks: Passionfruit Margaritas & Mojito - we were happy with them. Tlayudas, Guacamole y Salsas - this was really good and a great option for the table to share. The homemade chips alone were excellent. Liked all the different dips. Guac could've used some cilantro and more acid/spice. Tán Ceviche - I loved this. Super fresh and great flavor. Could use a touch of acid. My entree was the Shrimp & Crab Enchiladas - This was pretty good. The sauce could've used some spice and some acid to cut through the richness. My friend ordered the Yellow Corn Soup as part of her meal and she did not like it. She said it was too sweet which I thought was strange. I tried a spoonful and I agreed with her. It needed a savory note and again, acid would've done wonders. Also, the crab was a bit fishy in this. She enjoyed her tamal though. I tried a touch of the sauce and it was delish. My other friend had the Quesabirria which she was also happy with. To sum up: Ambiance: 5/5 The space is undoubtedly gorgeous. Food: 4/5 Beautiful presentation on everything but each dish lacks an element or two to make it a home run. Staff: Wait staff 5/5. Downstairs staff (greeters/hostess) 4/5. Needs to be more on point like offering customers sleeves for umbrellas or pointing out the buckets to put them in. At some point through our entrees a group of 3 women were doing a 10-minute photo shoot by the stairway where our table was. Absolutely inappropriate behavior and a manager should've stopped it. Camera flashes all up in our faces while we're eating wasn't cool. Overall, still a great elevated Mexican cuisine option. The slight tweaks would make this a 5 star place for me. I'd return to try more things.

If you are someone who is looking at an aesthetic place, this is a top contender. Unfortunately, I would say this place is better looking than the food is good. The food was fine, appetizers were all fresh but lacked any real depth in flavor. I wasn't too thrilled with the bone marrow I had either (but the tortillas come in the cutest basket). Personally, if it wasn't for the drinks and the space, I cant say this place is worth it - you're not coming here for the food. Another little complaint I have is the women's restroom on the second floor - right by the door is a floor to ceiling mirror which I understand was included to make the space seem bigger, but my friends and I agreed that it is a little misleading - I kept wanting to walk into it thinking there was more space there and not wall. I would recommend maybe putting a decal on it to clearly show its mirror.
