Unfortunately, the person behind the counter, and our server, did not speak any English...and we didn't speak German. And the menu was in German. So we really struggled to order our breakfast. But they were friendly, and we did manage to order something that we were okay with. However, in hind sight, we should have just stood at the counter and pointed to something in the display case to get the pastry or egg dish we wanted. Oh well, maybe next time!

Only available in Basel, it make the trip back to the U.S.A. to be shared with friends. There was a great deal of construction going on right outside the door and we had to return because when we found it, it was closed, however, during the day we missed it the first time we walked past. This store is very similar to that one in setup. But no matter how much you spend here, it never seems enough when the chocolate is gone.
