I used to go here a few years back and had great things to say, they helped me get through my depression and helped me get back on the right track. However, recently I attempted to contact them to become a patient again so I can get my medication monitored. I called and left a voicemail requesting a call back, a few days later I received a call from them and as soon as I answered the phone I was put on hold for over 5 minutes and I hung up. I then called back to see why that happened, left another voicemail and never got a response back from them. So after over 2 weeks of waiting, I decided to find a more professional office to go to. I have never seen such unprofessional behavior from people working in the mental health industry and it disgusts me that these people are allowed to treat patients in that way. Do yourself a favor, save the hassle and find another place to go because you deserve much better. read more

I wish I could give this office negative stars. I scheduled on Zocdoc 3 weeks prior to my appointment. I chose this office because it said that they were in-network with my insurance. I provided all my contact & insurance info at the same time i booked the appointment. Because I never heard from them, i also went on their website & wrote an inquiry under the contact us section. Still nothing, so i figured that they had everything they needed. I show up to my appointment, they say that i'm not on their schedule, & that they have no record of me at all. I showed them my zocdoc emails, & then all the sudden, i exist. Oh but wait, since they were unorganized & unprepared, they took their sweet time trying to verify my insurance. They first told me that i had no insurance at all. So i called my insurance, & they said i was active, but that the doctor was NOT in-network. I relayed the information to the manager, & let her know i was upset because i only scheduled with them because i thought they were in-network. She said no, no, no, we are definitely in network, but it's just under our practice name, not the individual doctors. I trusted that answer, & wow, I was wrong. I now have bills for well over $150. So back to my first appointment, I waited OVER 2 HOURS to see the doctor, & the only apology i got was from the doctor. I decided to give them the benefit of the doubt, & saw Dr. Vijay for 2 visits total. First of all, I felt like she didn't believe my diagnosis. She was constantly questioning the integrity of my previous doctors. She also didn't listen to me, i told her that i was having a hard time with the side effects of the medication. Rather than adjust anything or give me other advice, she just kept everything the same. I also believe that this office gets kickbacks from pharmaceutical companies. She gave me samples for a month's worth of medicine, & when i was running low on the medication, they left me high & dry. Since the medicine costs over $1000/month, insurance companies do not want to cover it. I called & left 3 separate messages for SOMEONE to call me back because i was out of medication & was sick. Not ONE PERSON AT THE OFFICE COULD CALL ME BACK OR OFFER ANY TYPE OF RELIEF OR ALTERNATIVE MEDICINE. THIS OFFICE IS A JOKE, & CLEARLY DR. VIJAY DOESN'T CARE ABOUT HER PATIENT'S WELL BEING AT ALL. I was going here for awhile now. Had an appointment and caught the flu. With being sick as all heck I was moving (which the Dr knew) I missed an appointment. I tried to call to reschedule the appointment and got a answering machine. Waited no call. Called again no answer. Called a third time another number I had and was told I had to talk to scheduling. I was put on hold and what happens voicemail again. Still have not gotten through. I have now found a new professional Dr and staff. Its a shame that I was treated the way I was for being sick and moving. If you go here make sure you don't miss an appointment or you just might be in my boat. Shame shame shame!! read more

Dr. J and his staff are awesome. Making "the call" was the hardest thing for me to do. My life is good ...today. If you need therapy then the wife will be the one to go to. Dr. J is brilliant !! I am in late 50's and didnt need to talk about when I was 5 yrs old .....lol...I needed help to get off pain pills since all Dr's are being told to not give Norco. I have and still have terrible upper shoulder neck pain. I sat there all blubbering and he wrote out scripts and that WAS the last day I took Vicodin, Norco, whatever pain pills out here. I never got full relief!! TODAY I have full relief from pain. NOT a miracle, but another type of medication has taken its place. The beauty of this is I do not need MORE AND MORE....just the same amt ea day. Anyone who reads this knows what I mean. Its a relief not worrying IF I will have enough pills to "make it". Let me begin this review by saying that I was a patient at this facility. I have had experiences with much of the staff, and let me say, the main psychiatrist, Dr. Vijay Jayachandran, is one of the most unprofessional doctors I have come into contact with. She has one of the shortest tempers I have experienced, and some of the most unrealistic ideals for her patients. God forbid you end up in her care. You may eventually overcome your problems, but not with the help of this psychiatrist. More likely, you will succeed with the help of the therapists. The group therapists and the private therapists are all very nice people. They are what make this facility even worth going to. The groups are friendly, the people are nice for the most part. Much of the staff are friendly and nice people, but the main psychiatrist needs to reevaluate her values. read more

I came to see Dr Vijay because I was off of my much needed medication and was experiencing a lot of depression and other issues. I was surprised at the amount of care and compassion was given to me. As long as I have been dealing with my problem never has it been suggested to see a counselor and again Nicole ( the counselor) has helped me immensely. It was great that service was offered at her (Dr Vijay's) office. Care, and concern is their main objective in this office and they are very concerned with how the medications prescribed is working for you. I would highly reccomend this doctor. read more

Dr. VJ is the doctor for our 16 year old daughter. She recommended group therapy three times a week, from 5-8pm each time. We were supportive of this except she required that a parent drop her off and pick her up each time even though our daughter could drive. We live 30 minutes away so this is 2 hours of driving each night (or 3 hours of sitting in the waiting room). Both my husband and I work full time and he works shift work. Plus, we have 3 other kids at home. She would not work with us on the driving situation at all even though our daughter had our full permission to attend this therapy. read more

I've attended this place a few years back, got the medication I needed. Mostly consisted of sitting in the waiting room for almost 2 hours each visit to see the doctor for 2 minutes and 37 seconds. Yes. I timed it. I dealt with it because I needed my depression and anxiety medication. The staff was generally nice, didn't always know what was going on or how to deal with the volume of patients. I finally got off my medication and have been doing well, but mistakenly referred my partner to go there. She's been going almost 2 years, and the staff has went downhill fast. They have no consideration for their patients. Either the doctors are greedy or the staff is just really lazy. Or a combination of both, but I would not waste time or money going to this facility. They used to care about the patients and their well being, but apparently that's a thing of the past. They do not care what happens to you in their care or what happens, as long as they get paid. It's a shame really. read more
