Oreo sky scraper milkshake

When I first walked in I was mesmerized by the artwork displayed all over the walls. They have board games available. In the bathroom they have a jellyfish made from plaster on the wall. The ambiance of confections cake is above par. There were so many food items I'd love to try, I can't wait to go back. The females that were working were so friendly. Only complaints is the seating, not weight friendly, in terms of if you have a thiccc booty it will be very uncomfortable to sit on, and depending on how tall you are, your feet won't touch the ground. I would be able to spend more time if the seats were different.

I've been to confections 3 times now - twice as a family treat, once to a private birthday party, and I've had their fancy cakes at parties! Confections is a solid 4 - almost 5 star in my books! My daughter loves their fancy schmancy macarons for a treat, hubby likes their cake, and I was surprisingly surprised by their chocolate cupcakes at a private function - not too sweet still decadent yum! They also serve wine, beer, and cocktails with a ficus on local - Alley Kat beer and Hansen's Distillery liquors. And of course there's coffee if that's more your thing! They have a few appetizer like bites as well but really you need only come here for the sweets. The vibe is modern eclectic. Currently there's a wall of portraits with an 80's splatter paint vibe featuring Freddie Mercury, Kurt Cobain, Jay-Z, Axl Rose, Jimi Hendrix & more. There's also a fishy wooden particle board elephant above the fireplace - yeah, you read that right! Follow confections on social media to find out about deals of the day and upcoming kid, family, or adult classes - cakes and macarons! Confections is a fabulous addition to the St. Albert sweets scene! See ya soon Confections, sweet you soon!

Baked Canadian (inside)

I love the idea of a late night dessert bar and wanted so badly to like it here. I think it was too new when we tried it (shortly after opening) and they had some kinks to iron out. The space itself is dark, filled with lots of dark, warm wood for a sexy coffee house feel. Lots of original art pieces and space - felt big for the few tables that were set up. Service was a bit awkward, but again, it could be new-business jitters. We ordered a regular coffee, their signature Baked Canadian and another dessert, but were brought a berry cheesecake. That's ok! I like cheesecake too. They brought us a tiny portion of caramel corn to start and it was delicious, but very soft. The cheesecake was great and I'm glad they brought us that instead of whatever we ordered. It was smooth and creamy with the perfect amount of berries on top. I'd definitely get that again. Unfortunately, the Baked Canadian looked better than it turned out to be. The chocolate cake inside was moist but didn't have much flavour, and the plentiful meringue was too much. It wasn't like a gooey meringue you'd get on a lemon pie, but just fell flat in taste - like airy foam. For $15 we would choose something else next time. Their social media showcases a lot of custom cakes and they all look beautiful. Also, they do workshops and classes! I'd try it again now that they have been open for a bit.

I love that they have a patio and are dog friendly. They even brought a bowl of water for my pup will deff come back for milkshakes again.

Their milkshakes are more than just a treat, it's an experience!

Their milkshakes are amazing and above and beyond an ordinary milkshake. Love the ambience of the inside of the cafe as well as their dog friendly patio :) I can't wait to keep trying their weekly rotations of milkshakes flavours. The staff were so warm and welcoming, and took my peanut allergy into consideration.

I definitely prefer the mini sizes but frequently those are not made in the limited edition/specialty ones. In these pics we "just had to come" so the teens could enjoy the Olivia Rodrigo Guts cookie. Pro Tip - buy the gift cards at Costco to save 20% on these $$$$ treats.

The franchise I went to was located in St. Albert, AB. As you enter the store, the first thing that "hits" you is the smell of sweet baked goods. Although there are no chairs and table at this location, the store has an open concept, meaning that you can see where the cookies and desserts are being made, which include cookies, pies and cakes. Cookies are made fresh daily. The cookies we had are the milk chocolate cookies, confetti milkshake, pink velvet cake cookie, and the sticky bun cookie. We ordered a 6-pack pink box (yes, the signature colour of their cookie box is pink) - it was a little pricier, but it was definitely worth the price!!! The cookie were very fresh, very tasty, and much bigger than your average cookie. When ordering your cookies, a few options are available to the customers: a single cookie, 4-pack, a 6-pack, and a party pack. Mini versions are also available in 3, 6 and 12 packs. Other products are available to purchase, such as drinks and cookie dough, and of course there is merchandise that can be bought on their website (hats and t-shirts, among others). Finally, if you have a sweet tooth, or simply want to taste delicious and different cookies, Crumbl is the place to go, you won't be disappointed !!

The parking here can get busy but there is usually a spot. This is definitely more of a take home and enjoy kind of place and style anyways. Drumstick, Wing, Tender Piece, and Bone-in Thigh. OR All Tender offerings are also available. Tossed with any flavour of your choice or Sauce on the Side. Sauce wise we highly recommend the Garlic Soy, Golden Kari, Gochujang Caramel,Gochujang Garlic Soy, and the Sweet BBQ. Most of these are heat tossed and something about how the sauce sticks to that buttermilk flour egg battered and fried golden crispy coating makes them divine. Sides wise we enjoyed the salads- both the Kale Caesar Salad ($8) and the Black Sesame Slaw ($7) were delightful. We also quite liked the Sweet Butter Cukes ($4/$6).

Entrance on either side of the building was a surprise as Google Maps told me to walk all the way around to get in. Very unique decor with a high-end/classy feel. Some unique gifts showcased as well - candles in fancy teacups, teapots, gems/rocks, Sweetapolita Sprinkles, and Art of Cake tea. Lovely full display case of sweets/treats for a Thursday at 5PM. Desserts all looked wonderful but a bit pricey. We got a latte, mango poppyseed cake, and a savory scone (which was ?Mediterranean flavored). So many goodies to try it was hard to choose! Staff were wonderful - greeting us with a smile, answering all my questions about flavors, and even offering to make the coffee extra hot. We were going to take the food to go but opted to sit and enjoy the atmosphere for a while and it was lovely. Wonderful place for a date. Coffee was very nice, strong flavor. Mango poppyseed cake was.... interesting. Loved the flavors independently but personally not my favorite flavor combination. Poppyseed cake was moist, falvorful. Mango creme was bursting with flavor and so creamy. Real whipped cream on top with shaved white chocolate was a perfect addition. One of the best cakes I've had for sure. The scone was THE BEST scone I think I have ever had. So flavorful, moist, and with balanced flavors. So many flavors it was hard to tell what was in it and when I asked the staff there were sooo many ingredients all I remember was Italian spices, Italian meats, and olives. I wish I knew the recipe! The staff were kind enough to give a small whipped butter as well when they knew we were going to eat it there. Absolutely will try to come back to sample more sweets but also to enjoy such a lovely atmosphere.
