"Ice cream is cheaper than therapy."
Thomas A.

Waffles. Ice cream. Waffles and ice cream?! Oh, boy. This combo brings me back to my youth when my metabolism could handle all the good (but really bad but... really really good) stuff with ease. (Nowadays I have to pick my battles when it comes to the decadent grub out there or my heart - and waistline - will make sure I suffer for it.) Coney Waffle isn't the biggest place on the boardwalk. But it's got a great retro-design and vibe that will hypnotize you and after you finally get your bearings to place your order you'll notice a vast amount of ice cream flavors and options as well as these monstrously-large cookies and cotton candy and... I had to kick it old-school and went with the (standard/plain) waffle topped with three different scoops and it was just incredible. Some of the family went with the brownie waffle and were just as impressed. Price-tag aside... a perfect way to end a day at the beach.

I really enjoy the ice cream here! They have a good selection of flavors. It's usually busy but the line moves quickly. Located right on the boardwalk which offers a nice view as you enjoy your ice cream. They sell a variety of treats such as cookies, candy and fudge.

Really good Ice cream , located right on the boardwalk , great service. Highly recommend the Cookie Monster flavor.

Supposed to be coconut ice cream and Java chunk... but I'm thankful they let me have anything at all for $10.

"Java trunk and coconut, please", I said, as I have said at least 100 times since they replaced Days ice cream. Except this time, the perfect-looking girl behind the counter was mad. I know she was made because she made sure I know I have offended her. Not until after handed me my bowl with the wrong ice cream in it, did she inform me how benevolent and forgiving she was because I handed her the waffle bowl instead of telling her that I wanted the waffle bowl. Well I didn't mean to make her mad but I have been doing this all summer long, ordering exactly the same thing all summer long and nobody else ever told me I was endangering their lives or breaking any unwritten rules. Except now, I know that I didn't order ice cream the right right and how dare I show myself in her presence ever again. I'm glad that she overlooked the limits of her logic by grabbing my money from me thirty seconds later. I'm forever grateful that she allowed me to tip her and even gave me something to eat. It would have been wrong for me to want the ice cream I ordered or expect an ounce of gratitude in return.

I'm not the ice cream fan I was as a kid but when I do want some I have my moments. Was definitely feeling this place! The vibe is on point and love that it's on the beach! Service is what it is - buncha youngsters but it's a dessert place so that's okay. The ice cream on an actual waffle rather than a waffle cone is different but totally worth it and it hit the spot!

Happy Birthday to Me (flavour)

I had a small cookies & cream in a cup, my standard ice cream order everywhere…read more This place is highly rated but for me it was average. The ice cream wasn't rich and creamy. And the cookies were ground into the ice cream instead of being chunks, my preference. The standout is the seating outdoor area. I came off-season but it's a covered space on the side of the shop. Ceiling fans blow a nice breeze and there are plenty of tables. The staff were efficient but nothing to write home about.

What do I mean by that? I'm not really sure. But the prices are right, they've got tons of flavors and options, you're served by some friendly teenagers, and there's an enormous outdoor seating area if you decide you don't want to walk the Asbury Park boardwalk with your cone (or cup or whatever). I love that they offer a small, medium, and large option for cups and cones, and that the large is only $7. There's also a "short shot" for $3.50, which is not just the size I want to give my kids so they don't overdose on sugar, but also the only size I want to eat myself as well. It's a single scoop of high quality ice cream, and it's perfect. I can also somehow get out of here with ice cream for my whole family for less than a single sundae in Brooklyn, and that's a beautiful thing. They've got dozens of flavors, but for me, it's all about the salted caramel pretzel. My wife is always trying to get me to split that and another flavor with her, but I don't need anything else. Keep your inferior chocolate whatever. Give me my short shot of salted caramel pretzel on a sunny summer day, and I'm a happy man.

Love this little beautiful coffee shop right in the middle of downtown Asbury Park! Great coffee,…read moregreat vibe, and great food too A fun place to stop while browsing around Asbury PARK. Really great coffee! As soon as you step through the door, you're gonna love this place, charming, decorated beautifully in a very warm feeling inside. We came in to get a coffee to warm up on a cooler day and found ourselves ordering gelato and even a salad for lunch. The food here is really fresh! They really know how to make their coffees and tease as well. They have a really nice assortment of snacks and food. You can order while you're here. Very highly recommended if looking for a snack, a meal or a perfect cup of coffee while walking around downtown Asbury Park.

Delicious cocktails on their menu and plenty to choose from. Food was flavorful, warm, and fantastic. We plan on going here anytime we have a show now. Note: food ended at 6pm on a Friday. It says on one of their signs "late night bites" but they might've done away with that. I got the tomato & mozzarella panini ($14.) The bread has rosemary baked into it. It was easy to eat - not "too large" or hard bread that roughs up the roof of your mouth. It's the perfect insides to bread ratio. My bf got the chicken salad panini ($15) and THAT was amazing. The berries give it a sweet flavor. He was scooping what fell out of the sandwich with the chips it was that good. I recommend the Honey Boo cocktail if you like sweet flavors and bourbon. The Spicy Bee (I think that was it) was the perfect balance of pepper and orange. There's black & white movies playing on a screen in the corner which had me fascinated and I wish I knew what movie it was. The lighting is low and the decor makes you feel you might be sitting in a speakeasy. 2 drinks and 2 paninis came out to ~ $80 with tip, so it is pricey but it's worth it.

Whoever said that "ice cream" was a Summer thing probably never had one!…read more After a long search for an open location last weekend at the Jersey shore, we were thrilled to find Courtney's. Not only we found an open shop on that dreary and rainy Saturday, but a wonderful place to hang out with friends. As we entered, we were warmly greeted by Courtney herself and her faithful "helper" Sunshine . The shop had a very cozy feeling with beautiful "beach life" decor but also a very welcoming Christmas scenery . Courtney's had a great menu variety, including favorites like a hot fudge sundae with a perfectly crisp and warm brownie and the classic banana split. Their milkshakes are a must-try. But if you are there for the vibe and to meet with friends, make sure to knock out some Christmas shopping with Courtney's funky candles as gifts or bring a pie home, so you don't show up empty-handed to your next holiday party .
