I really don't want to give a family business a bad review, but I have to be honest about the experience. I had the front bumper repainted, and when I picked up the car, I was already disappointed. The finish had orange peel, visible wobbles, and dust trapped inside the paint. Vince Senior convinced me that it was the best he could do, and out of respect for him and because I was planning to sell the car anyway, I decided to accept it. However, things have only gotten worse. The car is driven by my wife, who never even drives on the freeway, and yet the smallest rock chip causes huge chips in the bumper. The car has only been driven about 400 miles, and it already looks like it's been driven 100,000 miles, with chips everywhere from just regular driving on surface streets. I spoke to Vince Junior about how unhappy I was with the paint job, and I told him that the problem is that they're using cheap, low-quality paint that chips way too easily. He tried to tell me that this is normal, but I explained that the bumper didn't look anything like this before the paint job, even with 90,000 miles on it. Now, just 400 miles later, it's a complete mess. At this point, I feel like I have no choice but to warn others and let them know about my experience. I really can't recommend this shop to anyone, and I definitely won't be going back. read more

I took my 13 year old Elantra in for a paint job. The car is mechanically sound and the interior is still in great shape but the hood, roof and rear hatch were terribly faded and beginning to rust. I was given an VERY reasonable quote for the work. When I picked my car up a week later it looked like a brand new car! They did exceptional work and Steve kept me informed of the progress through the entire job. This shop was recommended to me by somebody who was a neighbor of Vince Jr. When someone sings the Praises of a place it makes an impression on me but I also find myself wondering if they're going to live up to a person's hype. Not only did Vince live up to all of it but far exceeded my expectations and hopes. They are busy shop so when I finally managed to get squeezed in for an appointment they were ready for me. I had to have a couple of side panels/bumpers replaced because of damage from a high curb that got worse and worse over time. It got to the point where I kind of had to tape up my side panels. I met with Vince once prior to getting the work done on "Lola" on my Prius. He got a good assessment of what needed to be done and carefully matched the color that needed to be on the new side panels / bumpers. He gave me a quote and did not go over that cost when he did the work for which I am truly grateful. When the day arrived, I got there and the bumpers were ready to be put on and they were painted the perfect color. Vince dropped me off at a local cafe and came and got me and brought me back when the job was done. They took Special Care make sure all the gunk was completely gone from the tape that I used to keep the bumpers together. It looks absolutely beautiful. As an added bonus events polish to my headlights. I didn't realize before then how much Lola had developed "cataracts!" Now she has shiny new headlights and she looks brand new! Everything was perfect and the price was really good as well I just feel so blessed to have found this place. I would recommend it wholeheartedly for anybody that wants to get body work done on their car or paint. The extra touches and attention to detail that they did made a huge difference. I'm so happy now with my car. When I was there I noticed pictures of all the fancy designs that he does on cars. You will never be sorry for coming here they are really great!!! I wanted to replace the oxidized window edge panels on my Acura. Another body shop priced the job out using replacement panels from Acura, which are very expensive. The estimate was over $2,000. I went Conejo Valley Auto Body on the recommendation of my auto repair shop. I met with "Junior " and showed him where the paint was peeling off on my car. He told me what it would cost to repaint the two areas...about $1400! But what he told me next was totally unexpected! He asked what was the model year of my car and then said that I should go to the car dealership and see if there was any remaining warranty time on the car's paint as I had less than 80k miles. To my surprise my car's paint is still eligible for coverage by the manufacturer!!!! Junior did not have to tell me about going to the dealership and could have done the painting and made a few more dollars. I brought in some scratched motorcycle body pieces to be sanded and repainted. This was the only place that would even take the job. They suggested I also paint my helmet to match the bike, which was a great idea. When I picked up the parts the paint job was beautiful, considering they had to match a previous candy color. Nobody else I spoke with would even take the job. My only complaint is a few large pieces of dust. The helmet however was not so lucky. The slider that lowers and raises the sun shade had been painted in the middle position. When moved, you saw the black plastic on each side. I left it with them again for several weeks. The slider was sanded down and sprayed with black, like the original plastic. After I got it home I lifted the front-hinged face, and they had forgotten to paint the entire surface under it on both sides. The clear coat also has problems where it wasn't layed on evenly around the bottom and has some heavy orange peel. read more

Great Shop to have your vehicle fixed. I was in an accident and opened a claim through my insurance company. I went to the shop they wanted me to go to for an estimate and then 2 others to make sure they weren't trying to pull one over on me. One of the shops was this one and the Vince's really went through the process with me and really made me feel safe leaving my car there. I called the insurance company and told them where I was getting it fixed and they said they cannot guarantee the work since it wasn't their "approved" shop. After showing Vince the other estimate he noted that the parts they were using were the cheapest available and usually don't fit to the factory specs and he was using factory parts and would have to fight to get my car fixed the right way and his work is guaranteed as long as I own my car. So I guess "approved" shop means "approved" to be the cheapest and "approved" to cut corners. Long story short, my car was fixed and turned out great. Anything I need done I will come here the first and only time, I highly recommend you have your car fixed here if you want it done right. read more

Been needing to have some body work done on my car for a while now and my grandma recommended stopping by to get an estimate on the repairs. The front end of my Civic was messed up from when I rear-ended another vehicle (the hinges for my hood were bent which caused the hood to be out of alignment. Although it still latched, it would bounce a bit when I would drive on the freeway--scary stuff. The bumper was also out of alignment as well as the left headlight being cracked and pushed back a bit). SO GLAD I went because the out-of-pocket pricing was fantastic and they went above and beyond fixing what I requested to be done in addition to getting me in and out within 2 hours on a walk in appointment (maybe it was just lucky timing but I think they're just that good!!). But seriously, they fixed everything perfectly. The owner, Vince, greeted me in the parking lot and was so friendly and genuine the entire time I was there. The other mechanics were smiley and seemed very friendly as well. I go in on Monday for a passenger-side mirror to be installed and then I'm good to go. Well no one wants to go to the dentist or the auto body shop, but if you should unfortunately need auto body work done after an accident, then go to Conejo Valley Auto Body. Vince Jr was friendly and explained to me in detail - the necessary work to be done to repair my rear bumper and scrunched trunk hood. They offered me a very reasonable quote that worked within the parameters set by my insurance company. The car now looks as good as new and the job was completed in their promised time frame. My review my not reflect this but I actually liked the owner and his arrogant son. They were the cheapest as long as cash was king. Where my opinion changed was when I went to pick up my Project; Lots of errors in the finish and the color was not correct did not match the rest. I went home and put a little piece of blue tape on each painting goof and there were many places where body work was sloppy and areas missing paint, SO I took to back to talk with owner He cusssed me our for using the blue tape He Said He Fucxxxing Hated people who showed up with complaints He did admit the paint color was wrong. He finally calmed down and agreed to try and do it right It took months and many returns to get it right More cash to make their error go away and the entire time I was made to feel it was My fault for even expecting it to be right,, He felt he gave me a good deal so I should be happy and Just Go away. Eventually The work was done OK They do a lot of low end repairs However If you do not want to be ridiculed Made to feel stupid and have son and father treat you like your a pain you might want to go to friendlier shop No wonder my Insurance would not recommend this shop MY BAD read more

I was talking to someone today about my first love. My '99 Camaro Z28. I told him that part of the reason I sold the car was the shoddy repair job after I got hit. This really re-opened some wounds, and inspired me to finally post a review. I have seen the work this place has done before, and it IS impressive. However, I did not get so lucky. My repairs were through insurance, yes. I did make it VERY clear that I would pay out of pocket to get things done correctly. The hood was completely folded, and I said I'd pay out of pocket for an SS hood. "Nono! we can fix it!!" really? Then why did I get it back with a crease in the front? I asked for the car to be wetsanded. "NONO! we'll detail it! It will look just as good!" Nope. Burn marks in the paint from an orbital buffer did NOT look as good. Cheap non-OEM parts were used, there fisheyes in the paint. My heart sank every time I washed the car. It looked better with the front bumper dragging on the ground, then it did when I got it back. I would not recommend this place to my worst enemy. read more

I found this shop listed on another site with high reviews, so I called them and three other shops for an estimate to get my side mirror replaced. Not only did they give me the lowest quote, but when I got there to get the mirror installed, I was charged only for the cost of the part. Since it took only about ten minutes to install, Jr. (who was my contact there) didn't bother charging me any labor costs. All the other shops wanted an aditional $70 - $135 more. Jr. was friendly an attentive and as he put it, "take care of the community and the community will take care of you." I think it's fair to say that anyone who does business following this motto believes in the value of good service and a fair deal. read more
