2 years ago we bought a new air conditioning system from conditioned air. Since then we've had varied experiences with their service. You can view my previous review on this site. Today we had a service person here, and during his maintenance work set off by accident a leak detector. He said he shut off the leak detector, and the system showed that it was working again. We noticed he'd left and shortly after that the detector went off again. [[HIGHLIGHT]]We called conditioned air to have him return and get back in the attic and figure out whether there was a real leak or a malfunction with the detector. After some time waiting for a response we were told they couldn't reach the technician.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]But they could have somebody come back between 8:00 and 10:00 tonight. That doesn't work well if there's a leak going on in the Attic.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I am 82 years old and ultimately my wife and I struggled to get the ladder to the attic back down and my wife crawled up there and fixed the detector. This is not the type of service I expect after purchasing a high-end system from a company. This leaves me with things to consider regarding doing business with them in the future. If you plan to work with Conditioned Air you should consider this as well. read more

I have had the Conditioned Home Service Plan for a few years now. I had my first service this year in March so about five months ago with the next scheduled for August (the plan calls for two check-ups per year). Alas the condensate line backed up mid-July and I called for service which I did and paid for. The price to clear the line totaled $259.95 ($169 to get someone here and $90.95 to actually clear the line) which is clearly expensive in my mind. It took less than 30 minutes to clear the line, and the line had been cleared in March as it is part of the Home Service Plan. Seems to me that I was greatly overcharged particularly since I have the Conditioned Air Home Service Plan! I have been without AC for 12 days now. This is an AC that was installed by Conditioned Air about 5 years ago. Total lemon...I've paid thousands of dollars to have it fixed over the past 5 years. They installed one stinky rusted window unit after I complained of no air after 5 days for a 2400 square foot house. Manager tried to bribe me for 199$ to take down my review and I still have no AC! I was charged without my permission. Took 3 weeks to get my refund. I was with them for 3 years and decided to change because I found a better value with another company. I was never charged before they came to my house. They send me reminders to renew but I didn't reply so they charge my credit card without my authorization. Called them, they sent Mario out and he was professional, friendly, knew his job and completed it and cleaned up like he was never here. I placed a service call on our water heater with 2nd Century now owned by Conditioned Air, they used to be great and I used them for 15 years, They charged $169 callout and arrived really quickly (without a tool kit) took one look at he heater that was approx 5 years old and immediately quoted $1900 for a new one saying the leak was terminal. It looks very obvious to me that the copper pipe had a small leak and there was nothing wrong with the heater, he quoted me $750 just to fix the copper pipe leak and said the water heater would need replacing anyway and would cost $1900 in addition if I tried to fix the pipe first. I called JCP plumbing of Naples who sent out a crew within an hour and they drained the tank, replaced the copper pipe all for $300. Proper plumbers who just want to fix things not just sell new units. Forgive me for being skptical but you may suspect the guy from Conditioned Air had zero intention of repairing my leak and just wanted to sell me a new heater. He didn't even have a tool kit with him, what did I pay the $169 for, an estimate I guess. Conditioned air replied below but I can't add comments to their reply. The Heater was new in November 2018 so nearly exactly 6 years old not 8 years as they specify. They quoted $1900 for a full replacement heater, if I decided to take a chance on just doing the pipework they quoted $750 because it was going to take 2 men 5 hours to do the pipework on top of the $1900 so a waste of time in his opinion. I agree the copper did have corrosion on several pieces because the leak was slowly dripping down, indicating the leak was not the heater, because water doesn't rise, but in fact the top copper joint/connection as I has said to him. I will let people draw their own conclusion on the information provided. JCP plumbing were honest, clear and never once suggested the heater was faulty, I didn't tell them I had another company look at the fault first and just took a couple of hours including draining down the heater to redo the copper connections. I have no connection with JCP for full transparancy. read more

This business is both a fraud and incompetent. They sent out unexperienced techs who misdiagnosed the leak. They quoted me approximately $3600 to fix something that a different company fixed for $600. The other company immediately found the problem and said it was the first thing that should have been looked at. It was a factory part that should have been covered by warranty.DO NOT BUY THE WARRANTY as they will not standby it. They will show you pictures that are not even of your equipment and lie to your face. They used to have competent people but can not keep their employees and no longer have any experienced techs. This is the worst company I have ever dealt with. Avoid them at all costs. read more

I now know why Conditioned Air Ratings are so low. I have two residences and had them come to my Naples home to check out my AC which was not operational. The visit cost $169. During the inspect the technician advised that the thermostat was not working. He advised the replacement would be $573. I had no choice but to say go ahead. I came to Naples shortly after this replacement and went to Home Depot to see what the cost of a new thermostat would cost me. The high end $79 and lower $49. So my cost of $742 was high and I called Conditioned Air to review the cost. [[HIGHLIGHT]]After four calls which the service agent said someone would review the situation I yet to have a response.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Now I will find another company and tell all friends how dissatisfied I was with Conditioned Air. I have had numerous issues with my unit over the past year and a half on my new house. My son collapse due to their lack of service and then when they came out, they did not complete the job. They are blaming Pulte for not being able to come back out because Pulte never paid them despite it was a warranty issue. I will be filing a with the state of Florida, as well as the office of the CEO for Lennox due to a defective unit that now I cannot get serviced run as fast as you can from this company. read more

Homeowner beware! Conditioned Air was the builders AC installation company. We were out of town and our cooling stopped. Called them for service. They charged $195 to show up and then $330 to unplug the condensate drain which took 50 minutes according to the security cameras. What a rip off! read more

The whole experience left a lot to be desired. Terrible! Had to call them out 3 times just to service systems. Came twice with the wrong information on what systems are in the home even though their company installed the systems. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Unorganized, communication between technicians and their office is a joke.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] 1st tech that came had the worst attitude and made it too obvious that he hated his job and had zero people skills, left me irritated after he left. 2nd tech came for the same thing and left again without doing any work because he had the wrong info on the systems again, also didn't bring a high enough latter even though they were just there the day before. 3rd tech finally serviced the systems but left his dirty black finger prints all over the ceiling in two of the bedrooms where the ceiling access is visible by homeowners and guests and acted annoyed, rolled his eyes when I asked if he could clean them before he left. It's a $10m house for god sake and he didn't think we'd notice? So unprofessional!! read more

I agreed to an annual maintenance agreement with Conditioned Air when my new home warranty expired after the first year. My first inspection was 1/7/26 and was informed both my AC and heat were both working. About 3 weeks later I attempted to put my heat on and it did not work. I called to let them know and was told the warranty was for only 1 week and they would not waive the $199 service fee. I called another company who came out and said that the thermostat was programmed to gas (the home heating is electric) and the system was wired completely wrong meaning it never worked. I did not need the heat the previous year as it's a second home. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I called Conditioned Air back to confirm both were checked and was told they were.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]When I stated that was impossible they said a supervisor will call be back. It's been well over a month with no call.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] They were dishonest with their inspection and wanted to basically steal $199 for a service fee for something that's should have been repaired 3 weeks earlier. I used Conditioned Air for several years (they installed the systems when we built the house) until I had a billing issue over a freon leak in our garage mini split. Short story is that I was charged for multiple diagnostic visits as well as repair visits. [[HIGHLIGHT]]When I questioned the charges I did not receive any satisfaction and requested a conversation with a manager.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]I was told that one would call; never happened.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]For two years they kept sending bills and I kept requesting a call from a manager (both by email and phone); crickets, no response.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] So I fired them and hired United Mechanical; great company and very responsive. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Now they have sent the matter to collections, still no contact from them.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Not the type of company I want to do business with! our Conditioned Air experience has been the worst. We purchased a new unit in 2022 with a maintenance agreement. All was good (we thought!) until mid May - our air stopped working. [[HIGHLIGHT]]We contacted Conditioned Air and they sent Duane out that day around 6PM.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Duane inspected our unit and said he thought we had a leak as we were losing juice. He filled the unit up & left - that visit cost us $500 and it solved nothing - air still not working and no addressing of the leak. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I phoned Conditioned Air the following Monday to advise air still not working and what about the leak - Conditioned Air advised they would email Duane and ask him to give us an estimate to repair the leak (as it wasn't covered under warranty is what they advised). Crickets...no estimate, no response[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]. After two weeks we reached out to Chris from Cool Deal and he came out immediately and found a huge hole in the tubing. He also found the coil WAS leaking and IT WAS COVERED BY WARRANTY. We have signed up with Cool Deal for the maintenance and could not be happier. This last Monday, I phoned Conditioned Air and spoke with Renee - to try to get the $500 back (I knew it was a long shot, but had to try), advise of the hole in tube that Duane missed, advised that the coil was covered under warranty, and to cancel our maintenance agreement with them. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Renee advised she would give my information to a Service Supervisor & they would get back to me within 24-48 hours. When no one called me back, I called today and again spoke with Renee who said she would email the Service Supervisor again...I asked her when I should call back again since it appears no one is responding[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I have been reaching out to Conditioned Air for over a week about a continual issue. After speaking with Stephanie twice and leaving messages for both Paul and Mike, I cannot get a return call[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]. [[HIGHLIGHT]]This is a basic courtesy to at least return a call and honor your own work from installation.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The unit was installed 3 years ago and has had continual drainage issues which they bill over $500/visit to shop vac the water out of the lines. They are not only unprofessional, but are taking advantage of people by billing to resolve the effect instead of the cause. I contacted them repeatedly to correct their work with a proper cleanout which every knowledgeable installer does. The drain line and evaporator pan can also be easily treated to stop the formation of blockages. This is a shame to treat people like this over a $3.00 part. This line will continue to clog with low static pressure (on the installation tag on the unit) the lack of serviceable drains at the pan. If they try to deny this you can see photos of their invoice, their installation and their truck with the vacuum. I also posted this to some HVAC Facebook groups where quite a few people (including employees) had nothing good to say about them or their work. read more

Unfortunately, the previous owners sold the business to an investment group that has completely changed the honest and straightforward practices of the previous owners. Even though my Lennox AC unit was still under the (parts only) warranty, they gouged me $700 in labor charges to replace a defective fan motor. A process that involved removing 4 bolts and disconnecting a single wiring connector (a 30-40 minute job for a reasonably competent technician). If you're looking for an honest company that will treat you fairly don't call Conditioned Air. read more

We used this company two times. The first when our home was new, and in the first year, under warranty, they charged us $450 for the service call even though it was under warranty. Today they came out and recharged one of our air conditioners that was four years old. The gentleman added approximately 10 to 12 ounces of Freon. I watched him do it. He then charged me for 3 pounds of Freon at $154 per pound. My bill total $739. I have extensive knowledge in this area as I am part owner of a heating and air-conditioning company up north. I believe in doing work with small businesses and trying to put my trust in other companies, but this was a blatant rip off! A 30 pound can of R410a sells for approximately $420 which equals $14 per pound at cost. Even if they tripled their cost, it would have been $45 per pound. This is seriously taking advantage of a consumer. To top it off, their technician did not have any dye to even put in to see if there was a leak. Buyer, beware! read more

I've been a customer of Conditioned Air for over 8 years but I guess not important enough to help me when my AC was broken in 95 degree weather. I called for help and then told me that they could not come to even look at my unit for 5 days. Totally unacceptable. I have found another company who came within 3 hours. we have had a contract with this company since we purchased our home. we had one of our planned maintenance services done in may before we left for the summer. our homewatch person called us on monday august 19th to inform us the overflow pan for the condensation discharge had overflowed and flooded our oyer and dining room and den. Conditioned Air replaced our A/C unit two years ago and we use them to service our home. They have been reasonable and dependable. I got a notification about 9am today from my Home Watch guy, that the Ecobee thermostat was dark and not working. I called Conditioned Air and they were so friendly and helpful and had someone out to my home within 40 minutes! The tech called and notified me he would be at the home in 30 minutes and then called again after he had identified and repaired the problem. He also said there would be no charge for the call or repair since they had just been out 2 months ago for our routine service. I could not be happier with the quick and friendly response and the efficient repair. Martin was the technician and he was GREAT. Gal I spoke to who scheduled the prompt repair was also amazing. Terrible company, terrible service! The unit was installed a little over a year ago.... The a/c has not worked at least 5 times in the last 5 months...every time I call them it takes them at least 1-2 days to come out and it's always a huge time slot (noon-8pm) and the service guy always shows up near the end of the time frame. Tonight is the 5th time it's broken in 5 months, last time was 2 weeks ago & the service guy "promised" me it was fixed and would work just fine from then forward. Well, nope, here we are 2 weeks later and I'm still waiting at 8:30pm for a service guy to show up on the 2nd day after calling. Device guys are nice, but the company as a whole really sucks! Conditioned Air installed a new Trane AC unit in 2018. They installed the Air Handler in the attic wrong. From then on I had nothing but problems. It wouldn't blow out cool air, it was too humid in my home, the Clean Air effects wasn't doing its job. Each time I called to complain about something they would send a tech to look at it and tell me they couldn't find anything wrong. On top of this I purchased their RIP OFF $1095.00 extended warranty for 10 years that I was told by the tech was for parts and labor only to find out it was not true. They never used my extended warranty that I purchased with them giving me excuses why it wasn't used. As it turned out two years later and a somewhat honest tech (my asking many questions) that the Air Handler was installed wrong and it would gather water in the cabinet soaking the inside insulation. That meant Mold in the Air Handler. I guess their twice a year maintenance I had with them didn't include looking inside the Air Handler or maybe they did and never said anything. Sneaks and liars. After two years I decided that if the warranty wasn't going to be used that I would like a full refund. Lo and behold another bull crap excuse from Kathy in the office who told me I would not be getting my $1095.00 extended warranty they NEVER USED. They refunded me half of the amount with some lame excuse. I told them that they made interest on my money for two years. That didn't matter. They hire incompetent people to service AC units. They work on commissions so they try to sell you things you don't need. They are liars, sneaks and crooks. I got rid of them and hired another AC company. There are so many AC companies out there but not all are as they advertise themselves to be so be careful. Ask your neighbors who they use, for how long and are they happy with the company. Look up Google Nextdoor, Yelp reviews. Do your homework online. I am finding out even the down to earth companies are jumping on the band wagon with the crooks, liars and thieves to justify why they are ripping customers off. These companies have lost their honesty and fair pricing to Greed. They have lost their good reputation and morals all for the dollar. read more

We had horrible experience using Conditioned Air. Have a maintenance agreement with them and had a major problem with a two year old AC unit which they installed. They charged us for the repair before it was made, then waited 15 days for them to come out again during summer in Florida. Also, they rarely return phone calls. Told they would call back for an update and they never called back. Then promised repair would be made the date the part came in, and they did not do this. read more

I signed up for a service contract with another company, and during a routine tune up of my eight year old system (which was working fine, btw) had so many "troubles" I was advised to replace it. it was literally not working when they left. Called Conditioned Air who had installed the system in the first place, a tech was there that day, he diagnosed the problem which had been caused by that other company, put lie to other things they had told me, fixed things up and was on his way. I couldn't be more satisfied and wouldn't think of calling anyone else in the future. read more

The AC went down in one of my clients homes. We called to have a technician come out. They came the next day and diagnosed the problem... I was not able to work with the return schedule that was offered... I asked to speak to a supervisor... waiting for that call back now.... UPDATE: Jeremy called back very quickly. They accommodated my scheduling constraints and are going to meet me this afternoon to take care of this issue! I am pleasantly surprised. Customer service like this doesn't happen often. We've been doing business for over 20 years with Conditioned Air and had service agreements during that time. We also have a 10 warranty on our system. We've always had high praise for their service. We've called for service and always came out the same day even on the weekends. Our A/C went down Saturday morning and called. I was told a dispatcher would call me back. Five hours after that call I called them back and told them no one had contacted me. They told me they had no record of the call and the soonest they could come out was Monday between 4 and 6PM. I booked it but called another company who said they would be there within 2 hours. They arrived on time, replaced a part and in half an hour had a working system. When the service agreement is ready to renew, I will not renew. read more

The absolute WORST customer service. I realize it is a Monday morning with very hot temperatures in southwest Florida so I could understand an influx of calls with AC units requiring service. However, you state calls are "very important" and with every attempt I have made over the last 1.5 hours, every call ends up getting disconnected. 1st attempt: Advised wait time is 20 minutes, then 15, then 5, then is connected to a line and 5 minutes later, disconnected. 2nd attempt: disconnected, 3rd attempt disconnected, 4th attempt: disconnected, 5th attempt: Advised 29 minute wait time, then 15, then 6, then 5, then disconnected. read more

We had a new unit installed when we moved into our home. We had a couple small issues that were resolved pretty quickly. On April 22, our AC wasn't working so we called them out. Of course, this was a weekend and so they charged us a $169 service call. Apparently, that's not covered in our service plan. They find out that some sensors on the outside unit are no longer working. Luckily, these sensors are covered by the warranty that we purchased. They told us they needed to order the sensors and then we would schedule the repair. In the meantime, they bypassed the sensors and assured me that our AC would be operational until the repair. I called weekly to ask on the status of the sensors. No one had an answer for me. They told me they were shipped, but didn't have information on when they would be delivered. That seemed strange for me. I continued to call. At the end of May, I call again, this time a bit irate. Suddenly, the sensors appeared. Now, we can scheduled the repair. A tech came out on June 1, a Thursday. Was there for hours, with multiple issues. He did a partial repair and told me that he still needed to replace another sensor. For some reason, he didn't have that one. Also assured me that my AC would run. We had our scheduled maintenance on June 2. He checked out the system, all was working. He recharged it, too. I called on Friday to ask about the sensor. The person I spoke to had no idea what was going on so I requested that a supervisor call me back. No one called me. I also paid $225 that day to renew our maintenance plan. Fun. On Saturday, I walk into our home and it's 82 degrees. No cold air, just the fan running. I call Conditioned Air and I'm told that the tech they had for that day called out and no one would be available until Sunday afternoon. I was lucky that the tech came a bit early today. But not so lucky in that he can't fix it. He doesn't know what's wrong and believes it's the sensors. He said he would call his supervisors but since it's Sunday, they are off the clock and might not get back to him. Since April 22, this has been ongoing. This is not what you expect when you pay for a 10 year warranty and for a maintenance plan. I can not begin to express how disappointed I am at the level of service we have experienced. Just awful as I sit in our non-air conditioned house with our 6 year old daughter. read more
