We have used them once and were happy with the experience. I loved their communication. I booked an appointment online and received a text confirming. Before the plumber came out, they also texted me his photo and a short bio. We had him install a bidet, which he charged based on installing a toilet seat. Being out of state I needed a plumber to drain my hot water tank for my wife. Aztec showed up pretty quick but ultimately charged $500 to drain and remove the tank, put a shark bite on one water line and a compression ball valve on the other line. $20 in parts and a garden hose, what a rip off !!!! read more

Did water heater install. Charge for an inspection permit, city or Naples regulation. They charged $275. Check with the city, permit costs $50. Also said a year warranty is $35, charged $198. Deceptive practices to say the least. Plenty of other plumbers, pick anyone but Aztec. read more

My water heater was failing. They showed up right away (literally within a half hour), were pleasant, cleaned up well, and were done in a few hours. Allen, the technician, was a delight. I made an appointment to evaluate a ghost flushing toilet and a leaky bathroom faucet. After three house calls, in addition to two calls cancelled at the last minute, at a cost of $757 paid after the first visit, they were fixed. Aztec Plumbing is one spiteful company. 2 years ago they repiped my entire home. They said they would get a permit. I gave my deposit. On the day they would have finished I asked about the permit which I know is supposed to be placed on the outside of the home before the job starts. That was never done. They never submitted the correct permit. They wrote it as a new hot water heater which it was not. It was a tankless hot water heater they were installing. I asked that they resubmit it. They gave me the run around for 6 weeks. They came back with the permit the day they were finishing. When the drywall was finished by someone they hired and Collier was called for inspection. Everything passed. It is so important to have a permit for any plumbing work done in your home. If it passes great if it doesn't the company has to come back and correct it until it passes inspection. I called them for my waterless tank issue (5 year warranty) and I was scheduled for 8 am -1 pm. I even received an email saying they would arrive 8-10 am. At 9:23 am I called to ask and was told they never sent that email. At 11:02 am the office calls and leaves a VM to say they were longer on a job. An emergency and they had to run an errand they would not be at my home until 1-9 pm. I called and canceled my appointment. They asked would I like to reschedule and I said no because I felt they would do that again. They are not a reliable company and if all they have is one crew to service everyone in Southwest Florida then they are not a good plumbing company to do business with. They are a Total Rip off. All I can say is At Least they were quick. The re-pipe was scheduled and completed quickly. They finished the entire job in 1 day. But, they left holes in the walls and didn't even bother taping plastic or cardboard over them. Hot air coming in from the attic. Work was Sloppy! Water valves under sinks are crooked and foam around holes is uneven and sloppy. Trim rings are not correctly installed. One valve was even installed with a hole right through the baseboard! After the final inspection, they had someone come patch the wall and ceiling holes. He did a pretty good job but did not install the insulation over the ceiling patches. Several calls to have these issues rectified resulted in no action and eventually no response. Beware. read more

Aztec came, looked at the problem, then said he had to call his boss to give me a price. There was a leak in the wall that required a valve to be changed. I was at a disadvantage because it was Friday afternoon and the water was off for the whole house. Charged me more than a thousand dollars for a two-hour job and less than a $100 valve. Outrageous! A cooper pipe broke outside the house while I was preparing a splash party for my son's BD. The plumber came in on time but they were not prepared for the job. I called and clearly explained the issue to the rep that answered the phone (broken copper pipe, outside of the house, needed soldering, a real simple job), the plumber came with no propane (or whatever gas they use to solder copper pipes) and had to go to Home Depot to get a new tank. Later, the technician said that in order to dry the pipes they needed to insert bread (yes bread) into the pipe to absorb the water. They were unable to get the piece broken pipe out of the main line so the plumber went to Home Depot again to get some 'fittings' he was missing to work on an alternative. Because he was not able to get the broken piece of pipe out of the main line he wanted to cut the whole thing and put a new pipe through the concrete which would have been thousands of dollars and hours if not days worth of work. He was away for almost an hour. At this point my neighbor from across the street came in with his tools, removed the broken pipe and got the job done in less than 10 minutes, all this in front of the baffled plumber, he even made fun of the whole 'bread to dry the pipes' situation. The plumber's name is not clear to me, the van said "Paul', the shirt said 'Brian' and when he was talking to my neighbor(the one that actually fixed the problem) he said his name was David. The worse part is that after hours of dealing with this BS I had to pay for 'the visit' $176.00. I Have been trying to reach their HQ to tell them about my experience and see if I could get the visit fees refunded for 2 days, at least partially, but they do not have the decency to give me a call back. One start is more than what this company deserves. read more

A new Water heater was purchased & installed 09/01/2022 and the internal rods calcified and failed; This is because they used a cheap inferior product that is known to have defects . Aztec plumbing would not return to repair or replace the broken part under warranty. Their customer service rep I spoke to over the phone was not knowledgeable on plumbing and gave multiple wrong & conflicting answers. In the end, they only offered full priced service to come back out and fix the heater. read more

I called them to remove a clog in my pipes and they claimed to have cleared it. then set me up with a "free" video inspection of my pipes only to find out they did NOT clear my clog and wanted $1600 to come back out. had to call another company and they cleared it no problem. read more

***PLEASE READ*** Here we go- Sat evening...one backed up toilet- wait, make that two backed up toilets, oh no, now water is coming up the shower drain! I called Aztec Plumbing At 5::14pm Sat... within three minutes I spoke with an intelligent LIVE person. I described my problem and was assured Aztec Plumbing could help me, and that a technician would call shortly. I felt a little better but... I thought I might have a long wait. Within 1/2 hr, I received a call from the technician on duty. In just another 30 minutes, he was on the scene. Jeremy, the technician quickly accessed the potential causes, advised me of the potential solutions, and answered all my questions. I asked Jeremy to go ahead and try to resolve the issue... crossing my fingers that the problem wasn't with the septic tank itself. Within 20 minutes, Jeremy let me know he was finished, and that he did indeed solved the backup. The extraordinary service didn't stop there, Jeremy educated me on the septic system (a new home purchase for me), showed me important access points to the system, and arranged for a follow up camera inspection. He also let me know that one of the two toilets was near the end of its life and needed attention/ replacement. ***SUMMARY*** From my first call to the end of service, Aztec Plumbing LISTENED TO ME! I was treated with concern, made to feel my problem was their problem, was educated, and never pressured. Big John Fernandez, our Aztec plumber, was excellent and gave us speedy and very professional service. We had a house guest stay and their shower was only giving HOT water! We needed it fixed fast. They diagnosed and fixed our shower valve cartridge right away. We needed him to be quiet to not disturb our guest. He used a hand hacksaw rather than a power Sawsall when it, because of a previous stripped screw, was problematic. He had to cut part of it off. It cost $311.00. I thought the charge may have been a little pricier than the mom & pop plumbers in our area, but they all were booked up. They also turn the upside-down valve right side up, because of an original builder error. I'm happy! Our guest is, too! I'd call them again for an emergency. read more

Huge rip off. Tankless water heater was not heating water. Plumber said he needed to perform a complete diagnostic test for $375. I agreed and signed the contract. Immediately after he said "oh look. The gas valve is off." He then went on to tell me that the entire system should be replaced as not properly vented. Only $4400 to replace. He did flush the system for another $350. So I got another opinion. Did an inspection at no cost and basically said "if it's not broke, don't fix it". Lesson learned. Will never do business with Aztec again. read more

Aztec did our repiping recently. The greatest problem is communication among their departments--the traditional case of the left hand not knowing what the right hand is doing. But there was also a problem with the work itself. The first county inspection of their work failed, and so they had to return to add some metal plates. They told me our smoke alarms had to be inspected with the fire inspection, and so I spent $1400 having that work done, but there was confusion about the fire inspection: the sheetrock guy did not know that a fire inspection was needed. Finally, it was really, really expensive!! I have to give the workers and staff credit for being polite and responsive, however. read more
