When Condados first opened everything was flavorful and the service was excellent. They have fell a bit downhill, some things to note: Smoked Cheddar Queso is supposed to be smoked. I'm not sure if they switched recipes or don't do what they are supposed to do, but it tastes like Nacho Cheese at a high school sports game. The consistency is the same it just isn't as seasoned. The chips need to be heated again or need to be fresh. They are greasy but they are not warm. The tacos are good. They need to be made with more love and intention. The Mexican Street Corn is actually good and reflective of their previous presentation. It looks and tastes like it was crafted with intention and creativity. For the Nachoes, they are skimpy on queso, it's the same amount you'd get of sour cream. Also, they forget the ingredients you ask to put on the Nachoes when they have a place to store the modifications. The ambiance is still the same, people are consistently flowing in but black or brown people do not really visit. I can see why. As far as service, the servers need to lock in. There should not be side conversations in the open when people need to be sat or tended to. If you have tables you need to make your rounds, check in on refills, are they satisfied with their meals, bring the check out at a timely manner. The manager or leader needs to have a chat with their team about roles, expectations, and responsibilities. If they lost their motivation find something to bring that cheerfulness back. read more

I really like this place! Parking in super easy, especially if you go around to the parking garage behind the restaurant. All the sauces I've had from here are all so delicious!! I get their burrito bowls every time I go and they are SO GOOD!! I've heard some people complain that their tacos don't have much meat in them, but this is not an issue at all with the burrito bowls. Plus, for an extra $2 you can get extra protein if needed. I didn't get any drinks, but the drinks are very reasonably priced, especially for the area. Their outdoor seating is also great for people watching, and the service is always super good and quick. A pro tip is to ask for sauces on the side! I would definitely recommend this place if you're looking for something pretty quick and healthy-ish. read more

It's supper time on Taco Tuesday when most places are packed. Our group of 6 had no trouble picking an open table here. Hmm. Unaware of the restaurant's a la carte build-your-own format, I was unprepared. The menu format didn't help. I may as well have been staring at a busy menu board on the side of a food truck. My taco was good. The frozen margarita was good, but not good enough to order another. The chips were fresh and flavorful but heavy as pita crisps (not a fave). A half-order of loaded tots seemed a great side, and the server confirmed it was excellent. I don't know how you ruin tater tots, but mine were the driest wads of potato shreds I've ever experienced. Golf ball sized, the tots seemed freeze-dried, partially rehydrated, and incompletely cooked. I eat out to relax. The decor was delightful with its excellent artwork bringing a fun vibe. The staff were pleasant. But I also came to eat. Table tops are small and cramped. I enjoy selecting my food from a cafeteria Iine or a charcuterie board. Make me work through a menu of scattered ingredients, and I'd rather be in my own kitchen cooking dinner. There is so much potential here. For any salsa or sauce lover this is your smorgasbord, so many options. The bowl I ordered was a base of romaine and I envisioned a leafy green base but got iceberg lettuce instead and chose shrimp as my meat which was another fail bc it was so insignificant in comparison to the amount of meat I'd likely get in any other option. Avoid the skinny marg, just get an original. No chips and salsa offered unless ordered in addition, and the chips tasted tough, were not warm, and overly salted. Boyfriend enjoyed his tacos but wished the meat had been warmer. He recommends the Sweet Heat brisket and Mango Marg. I think I will have to give this place another shot, but felt really robbed at the end with how expensive it was for how little satisfied/pleased I was. Def not good bang for buck. Been wanting to check out this new taco spot since it opened and finally got a chance. Overall the food was decent, but the service was great. I built my own tacos and wished the flour tortillas were heated prior to serving. The side of black beans was good, basic. The chips were very greasy and very salty while the salsa was watery; I prefer a chunkier salsa. I doubt I would make a special trip back for the food but I would eat there again if the chance arose. Got the pico guacamole to start and then dove right into the Power Plant, Jackpot and Dutch Dragon all vegan. Liked them in that order. Very generous and beautifully made (see pic). Love that they wrap a crispy corn tortilla with a soft flour tortilla and also wrap the taco like a shawarma. Easy to eat and enjoy which is a plus. Didn't feel like I had to gobble it down to keep the taco together. Chloe did a great job of explaining every detail, even coming back a couple of times during prep to ensure everything was exactly as needed. Can't say enough good things about the food at Condado Tacos, it's one of my family's favorite restaurants in Franklin. My fav is the housemade chorizo, I got the bowl with dbl chorizo and several other ingredients, Lucy's Taco and the Queso with chorizo. The flavor is exceptional, I've had chorizo at other restaurant but this one is the best. It has a slight kick but not too much heat, highly recommend. Love the double shell on the Lucy's taco, great combo of flavors. On a previous order I had an issue but the GM, Franchesca remedied the mistake, she went above and beyond to make it right. We didn't order any drinks - just pineapple guac, some tacos, some rice, and some refried beans.
