Purple and black iridescent hues swirl amidst a backdrop of fluorescent pendant lights as the hum of dance music pulsates in the background. It is creative dining, inventive cocktails and part club vibe. I expected it to be rowdier given the ambiance but the crowd was definitely chill. I settled in just enjoying my Hawaiian mimosa , a recommendation from our server. For me, it has a " lounge" feel just stay awhile and apparently the locals do just that. I imagine as dark as the interior is, you could stay for hours and have no idea what time of day it was when you left. Purple enamel tables with gold sparkles, a bold choice but definitely blended well with the industrial feel of this establishment. I ordered shrimp scampi over linguine. Shrimp were generous over a lemon garlic sauce. Prices were fair for quality of food offered. Definitely worth checking out if you are looking for a creative venue that is not run of the mill.

Been thinking of this place a few times, but have passed because I thought it was a seat yourself…read moreand wait in line at different counters for your food.......not at all! The service is above par, from checking in to the service at the table, very attentive and quick! The only reason I didn't go 5 stars is because the length of the menu, I was thinking more.....but honestly the choices they had will make me come back! I got the waygu burger and it was cooked PERFECTLY, seasoned amazing, the truffle fries were crispy and flavorful, the homemade ranch was some of the best I had, and I honestly loved their smoked ketchup! The place would be even better during the hot months due to their outside seating, so can't wait to try.

The food was pretty good overall, but my chicken salad sandwich was extremely disappointing. The croissant was very dry, and the shredded chicken combined with the consistency of the dressing was not at all what I expected. After only a couple bites, I left the entire sandwich untouched. What was even more disappointing was that when our waitress brought the bill, she clearly noticed I hadn't eaten the sandwich and chose not to ask about it. At this price point for lunch, I would have expected the situation to be handled a little differently. We sat in the covered outdoor area, which was nice, but there's also an uncovered outdoor section with older picnic tables that don't really match the vibe of a more upscale lunch spot. If you plan to sit outside, I'd recommend making your seating preference clear when booking.

They were all so sweet and really went above and beyond to make sure it was a high-quality experience. I noticed that they openly advertise that they don't accept tips and have slightly higher prices in order to pay their workers a living wage, and the results were directly reflected in the customer service that I received. As for the food and drink (coffee), that was pretty good as well! While I do wish that they might have had bagels, the croissant that I substituted it for was warm, buttery, and tasty, and it was a nice change from my usual coffee shop meal, as I've only had a croissant a handful of times. The coffee was fine, and I loved how they offered free refills, which I've noticed that other local coffee shops usually don't. Finally, I loved the setting of the restaurant, which gave you the opportunity to either sit inside and enjoy the ambiance or on the outside patio and enjoy some peace and quiet. I also loved the artwork that they had on the walls, which the waitress informed me was painted by a local artist and which you could purchase if you wanted to. All-in-all, I loved smallSUGAR, will be back in the future, and would highly recommend stopping in!

Service was fine. Nothing particularly standout, but smooth and efficient. For drinks, the coffee was average. It wasn't bad by any means, just nothing memorable. Especially considering the price point. Food-wise, there were some highlights. The sweet potato bowl was well-dressed and flavorful, though it felt like it was missing a protein component to make it more complete. The shakshuka was very good overall, with great flavor, though it leaned a bit salty. The biggest issue was the bread portion. It simply wasn't enough for the dish. I ended up ordering an extra side, and while it's listed as two slices, it's really just one slice cut in half. At $4 for that portion, that is very unreasonable. That was a recurring theme. Pricing felt high across the board for what you receive. While the flavors were there, nothing really stood out as exceptional enough to justify the cost. Overall, not a bad visit. Just one where the value didn't quite match the experience.

The Wild Game Tasting Board was the star of the table perfect for sharing and trying something a little different. We also ordered the gator bites (a must-try!) and finished things off with cheesecake for dessert, which was the perfect sweet ending. Good service, Amazing Food. The bar tender was friendly and offered good recommendations. The not so good was the 20 minute wait for our reserved table and the dinner service which was subpar. The server was not friendly or helpful. We started with the duck wings and beet salad. The beet salad had no flavor and was overpriced for what it was. The beets and cheese were scant. For what it's worth, I make a beet salad at home that is better. My boyfriend got the duo ribs and I had the elk bolognese. The ribs were amazing especially the wild boar, but my food came out cold. It was much better heated up the next day. I had really high expectations based on other reviews but the food and service was really hit or miss here which is why I'm ranking this a 3.

Clicking of glasses at the bar or the. cheers of bowling pins falling on the lanes in the back, the moment you walk in, the atmosphere feels upscale yet inviting, with a stylish, modern Southern aesthetic that's perfect for date night, celebrations, or an elevated night out downtown. IThe energy is lively without being overwhelming giving an upscale sports bar vibe , and the space feels polished, warm, and intentional. We dined during South Carolina Restaurant Week, along with sampling some Grand favorites, and every dish felt thoughtfully prepared and beautifully presented. The zucchini fries were crisp, light, and perfectly seasoned--addictive in the best way. The fried ribs were a standout, tender on the inside with a flavorful, crispy exterior that delivered bold Southern flavor in every bite. The crispy Brussels sprouts were cooked to perfection--golden, slightly caramelized, and packed with savory goodness. And these were just our appetizers. The entrées were equally impressive. The chicken and waffles struck the perfect balance between sweet and savory, with crispy, well-seasoned chicken paired with fluffy waffles that soaked up the flavors beautifully. My daughter loved the pecans on the side as they were roasted and sweeten like at the candy shops we visit along the lowcountry. The shrimp Alfredo was rich and creamy without being heavy, with tender shrimp and pasta cooked just right. The Southern pork chop with cornbread was exceptional--juicy, flavorful, and clearly a house specialty, with the cornbread adding a comforting, Southern touch that tied the dish together. Service was attentive, professional, and well-paced, enhancing the overall experience without ever feeling intrusive. We came in during a shift change and never noticed the difference. The staff was knowledgeable about the menu and made the evening feel seamless and relaxed. The most interesting thing is the robot delivering food. We see them all the time but definitely appreciate the staff walking behind the machine to deliver as it helps those like us who are particular about germs more secure that everyone is not breathing on food due to just riding on robot. Overall, The Grand on Main lives up to its name. Exceptional food, a vibrant yet refined vibe, and a welcoming atmosphere make this a true five-star destination in Columbia. A must-visit for both locals and visitors looking for elevated Southern dining done right
