Excellent food, atmosphere, and service! I aattended a company luncheon here on Friday and the servers took excellent care of us. We started with an assortment of appetizers and they were all delish! Expensive the food was not good and even if it had been, there was not enough. I would not recommend.

Absolute unique, upscale jewel in the main core of Lexington! The chef is incredibly creative. One thing I appreciate is a taster/amuse bouche that the kitchen sends to start. The interior design is beautiful, sexy. Date nights are awesome here. The bar is all the way in the back, the bartender I had for first visit was great & wish I could remember his name. Brought wife back for restaurant week and we had a lovely server named Khong who was very polished, but also picked up that we like fun & personality in our servers, so she was pleasantly playful too. The food is not only presented in a beautiful & unique way, the flavors are fantastic - deep rich curries, light&citrusy green papaya salad. Everything is so well done. We drive over an hour to come here & it is worth every visit. read more

This needs to be on Michelin's radar. Everything from the cocktails, the starters, and the mains are excellent. The dining room is small and intimate, and the staff is so attentive and lovely. We routinely drive from Columbia and battle the Lexington traffic and parking situation just for the short rib. Cannot recommend more. read more

Incredible. Food is always to die for and the staff is always on top of their game. Very relaxed but upscale ambiance. Great for date night or group setting. Drinks are also fantastic! A must have in Lexington. read more

I must say they treats us very well! They knew of my severe allergy to all nuts and ensured there was no cross contamination. The whole dining experience stands out. I've been here several times and it is always excellent. The food, the service, the ambience. It needs to be nominated for a James Beard award or a Michelin Star. It's heads above most dining experiences read more

Was here on November 4th and got a curry. The ambiance is charming but neither the service nor the food was noteworthy. However, we have friends that really like Thai so we booked a reservation here for New Year's Eve (2025). At just before 10 pm the night before, they call and say they cannot accommodate us. Exactly where am I supposed to find a place to eat with that short of notice? Nobody's even open right now to try and find another dinner spot. It is shocking to be treated so shabbily by a company. Thanks for ruining our New Year's Eve plans. read more

Amazing food, especially the chilean Seabass, and tom yum soup. Chef's presentation is always elegant. Amazing wait staff and ambiance. They need a better white wine list to go with the fish dishes . Overall 5 stars except for the wine list. read more

Random dinner because the other restaurant was closed... Upon entering the vibe is very mellow nice for a intimate setting but I'm out on the town with my cousin lol... the dim lit building with the jazz calms the soul. I started with Toong Tong appetizer. Portion was small lol but tasty nothing to rave over but good. The chef also prepared complimentary carrot and jasmine rice bisque and it was amazing ..The flavors were very good and had a hit of sweetness .. For my entree I ordered Duck with the Khao Soi curry noodle soup, shallot, pickled green mustard and cilantro .... So I wasn't planning on having a cocktail but my cousin ordered and ole fashion with the smoke theatrics lol ... not to mention in the bathroom not only soap they have a citrus hand scrub lol .... Back to the food ... my Duck was AMAZINGGGGGG ... cooked perfectly .. the waiter Daniel suggested the correct spice level and add the extra spice on the side ... if you get the Duck cut it off the bone in pieces and mix everything up ... thank me later ... after careful consideration I gave in for desert crème brûlée with the strawberry gelato .. this will be a first ...and for a first time it did not disappoint .... But that damn Daniel ... has to be the best waiter I've had in a longgggggg time ... I will be back SOON read more

A small restaurant remodeled from an old bank in downtown Lexington. My coworker recommended this place when I came in town. When I walked in, it did not look any Thai restaurant that i have been. More like a high end Michelin restaurant. There is limited tables and the bar is right next to the clear-window kitchen. We were first severed with complimentary potato soup from the chef. What a pleasant surprise! We ordered Thai Spring Roll as appetizer. It tasted slightly different than the Vietnamese version, but was good. The main dishes served with great plate presentation and tasted delicious. No room for desert after we finished everything. A great meal indeed! BTW, I retuned to this place in October and ordered takeouts due to my friend's family emergency. One of the selection had chicken but they put in tofu instead. We did not notice the problem until we were eating at my friend's house. Too late to fic the problem. Minor imperfection! read more

I LOVE this place and apparently so does everyone else cause it was PACKED! I mean people were waiting to get in! Luckily we already had reservations since I was apart of a birthday party. Parking isn't or wasn't bad; they offer on-site free parking which is clutch on this strip in Lexington. The atmosphere is a 5 out of 5. Didn't notice the bar yet great place for a date night, swanky night out with friends, birthday dinner, you name it! The chef ended up sending us some type of soup that was coconut milk based and absolutely delicious. It was sent to our table as a thank you for choosing the restaurant to celebrate a birthday. We were highly grateful. I ordered the chicken that came with cashews and a scoop of potatoes which all of it was SOOOO flavorful! The chicken was juicy and tender, and extra bonus points for the chicken being a chicken thigh! Meaning extra juiciness since thighs are so meaty and tender. The skin of the chicken thigh was slightly crispy which was another added touch to an already delectable dish. The slight crunch of chicken skin and it's tender meat, matched with the creamy potatoes, and robustness of the sauce is 10 out of 5! The sauce was flavorful and indescribably amazing. My drink of choice was the Bodhi Old Fashion which initially came out smoking since it was infused with smoke, and you can taste it in the drink which was an added touch. In conclusion, GO! The chef is a Michelin starred chef and you can tell! This place is by far top 3 favorite Thai restaurants ever, especially in SC. read more

I had not been to Bodhi in a while, used to be my favorite place. The ambience is nice, clean and gives the appearance of fine dining. Unfortunately the food is not so fine dining. As i would expect for these prices, absolute deliciousness and flawless delivery of flavor. This is not so. The two stars i have are for service and ambience.... i could give a third for presentation but... I find the good presentation here to be beautiful but if the flavor cannot live up to it, it's a waste. Bodhi Thai was so disappointing, pretentious fine dining with a complete disregard for quality food and flavor. Our bill was $100 for two people, no alcohol, 1 drink, 2 appetizers and 2 entrees. Amuse Bouche - carrot soup, which did not excite me for what was to come. It tasted like puréed cauliflower, and is not something I'd consider as an enticing appetizer. I have worked in 3 Diamond, relais n chateaux fine dining establishments. Also eaten fine dining since i was a kid. This meal was more than disappointing after all the reviews i read about Bodhi and from past experiences for lunch at this establishment. Appetizers were sub par. Dinners horrible sauce and flavor pairings. Potatoes two ways, bland, soggy & granular. Fried crab over cooked.... the disappointment did not end. My advice to the chef. Spend less time on presentation and more on quality ingredients and mouth watering flavor. I would not recommend this place. You work hard for your money and deserve better. You will not get what you pay for here. So disappointing. read more

I was a little discouraged when I looked this restaurant up and saw that reservations were required and that they were booked three weeks out. I decided to take a chance and see if they had a reservation sooner than that. I lucked out and was able to get in a couple of days later. After eating here, I can see why the seats stay full. DELICIOUS. First off, let me say when I got here, the hostess already knew my name and so did my waitress. Can we say impressed?! I started with the Toong Tong. Fire. They are extremely small, but very delicious. Then I said let me go ahead and try the Braised Baby Pork Ribs. I liked them. Don't get me wrong, I LIKED THEM BUT, they were a little too charred for me. They were sweet and falling of the bone, but next time just give me two Toong Tong orders. I ended with the Basil Stir Fry w/Jasmine Rice. Wow. That broth was marvelous, excellent, chef's kiss! It was more on the sweet side with a hint of spice. Loaded with vegetables. So good. So, so good. All the food came out fast and plated beautifully. It really is a fancy smancy kinda spot, so it's good for a date night or special occasion. I will definitely be back here to try other menu options. read more

My wife and I went here last Tuesday for our first time. Absolutely amazing. Great atmosphere. We had reservations for 6:30 and it wasn't busy at all when we went in. There were only about two other tables that were seated at the time. Our waitress took our drink order immediately. My wife had a Chardonnay ($14) and I had a Smoked Old Fashion ($16). We decided to split an appitizer of the Toong Tong, which was a wonton with chicken, water chestnut and shiitake mushroom. It comes with three pieces for about $8. You probably need to order one/person. It's very good. Before she brought out the appetizer she brought out an amuse bouche of black rice. It was great. Sort of like a purplish soup, very small cup of soup with about 4-5 tablespoons of the soup. It was also great. I'd never had anything like it before. Then she brought the Toon Tong which also was very good. My wife opted for the Chilean Seabass with rice pilaf wit a butternut squash puree and a wilted spinach. It also was great. I opted for the Crispy Duck with a khoi soy curry noodle soup and pickled green mustard and cilantro. Best Duck I've had yet! My wife tasted it and also agreed! Great place, atmosphere and service. It's a tad pricey, but good for special occasions! read more

Speechless! I give raving reviews all the time but this was a five star dining experience! We choose to visit Bodhi Thai for our Valentine's Day dinner. This restaurant is located off of Main st in Lexington. Parking was great and the location is perfect. The establishment was immaculate. Dark walls, beautiful chandeliers, and candle lit tables create the perfect ambience. The restaurant is fine dining at its best! Our server was very attentive and extremely welcoming. Everything we had was fresh, yet exotic and bursting with flavor!!! I love beautiful plating because I eat with my eyes first. All plating was absolutely breathtaking! We started out with some amazing cocktails. I had the Tropical Nivit was absolutely delicious. Sweet, Smokey but yet refreshing tropical! My partner had a siamese 75 and it was Chrisp and refreshing! We started out with a complementary gift from the chef, which was a broccoli purée. I would have never imagined a broccoli purée. Could have so many layers of flavor to it. It was absolutely delicious. We then put some appetizers. The first was an order of Toong Tong which are a crispy fried wontons, stuffed with chicken, water, chestnuts and mushrooms. They were so amazing that we got two orders, light and crispy and full of intense flavors. Tod Mun goong was a crispy prawn cake that came with the delicious sweet chili sauce. It was absolutely amazing as well. Tom Kha gai is one of my favorite dishes so we had to try it. This did not disappoint absolutely soothing to the soul. It was so aromatic. I could taste the kefir lime leaves and other herbs with the zing of the lime juice, and the sweetness of the coconut. I definitely enjoyed it. Next we moved on to our entrée we chose to share the soft shell crab dish, and added on a side of pineapple, rice, cream, corn, and cucumber salad! The crab was absolutely divine the best execution, of softshell crab. I have yet to try. The pineapple rice is literally a flavor bomb with a really nice texture complexity! You get the crunchy cashews, with the perfectly fried rice that's complimented by the sweet juicy pineapple! The cream corn was extremely delicious and the cucumber salad was nice and refreshing! Sadly my only complaint is that we were too full to try to desert. I have never been to a restaurant where I throughly enjoyed every single dish that I received! Now I have to come back time and time again to get through their menu because I want to try EVERYTHING! As you all know I will be back!!! read more

Amazing flavor. Warm atmosphere. Great drinks by Grant. The ambience was spectacular.

One of if not the nicest restaurant we have been lucky enough to enjoy in the Columbia area! We stumbled upon this gem one evening after watching the sunset at the Lake Murray dam and we wanted something different. We loved it and felt we were a bit underdressed for the experience coming in jeans and sweatshirts. On this visit we knew to come back in proper attire and wore some "fancy" attire to celebrate our 20th wedding anniversary. The service the food the atmosphere are all excellent! The drinks are delicious and made very well. The fact they will cater to my wife being vegan and basically make any item vegan for her is a pleasant surprise. Some items like appetizers are made in advance and can't be altered but the rest of the menu is made to order. We took our time and enjoyed three courses and several drinks as we reminisced over the last 20 years of marriage. The coconut crème brûlée is not to be missed and was an amazing way to finish the meal. We will definitely be back for more!! read more

We had a reservation at Bodhi Thai Dining for Valentine's Day. The restaurant was full, but actually not too crowded since the restaurant was not listed as open as it was Sunday. You had to call in to find that they were open just for Valentine's Day. When we arrived, we were seated immediately and our server was already at our side. She was extremely attentive and friendly. We got a complimentary carrot and potato soup before we received our food and it was delicious. Sweet, creamy, and a little thick. We ordered the pork belly steamed buns, the pan-seared duck, and the New York strip. The pork belly buns came with 2 different sauces and I ate the one with hoisin sauce. The bun is fluffy, although a little soggy on the bottom. But the pork belly was soft and delicious. I got the pan-seared duck and it was delicious when combined with the curry sauce, sweet peas, and bursting tomatoes. Perfectly cooked. The grilled pineapple was juicy and cut through the curry very well. My boyfriend got the New York Strip with the fish sauce and cucumber and tomatoes. It was okay, but not super flavorful. We've had better Thai steak at other places. For dessert, we ordered the mango sticky rice and the presentation was so cute. It came in a little banana leaf package and a scoop of vanilla ice cream. It was delicious considering mangos are not currently in season, however the coconut cream sauce was extremely salty. It went well when combined with the ice cream, but eating it on its own was a little rough. Good food, great service, and a great ambience. Perfect for date night. read more

Such a lovely atmosphere. The restaurant itself is gorgeous and the servers are attentive and professional. I started with the Tom kha gah soup- it was a small portion but super delicious. For my entree I had the massaman- the flavor was great and the consistency of the sauce was thick and filling. My only complaint is that it did not have pineapple which I usually look forward to.
