We initially went with Concept Pools to replace our liner this year after meeting Jim Long, owner, at a trade show last year. We trusted his pitch and years of experience, but what we got was a Green Crew that had never installed pools before. By the time they got our pool, they were on their 4th pool. The installation was not performed properly. I noticed large vertical seams coming up the corners in each of the deep ends after it was filling with water so I called and sent pictures. (our well had been running 2 days at this point) . He sent out 2 of his crew several days later - I had to go home and drain the pool so they could attempt to "push" the seams out. Didn't work. They came back out again, this time Jim Long finally showed up and said the corners needed shaved down as the liner was too big in the corners. So, they shut down efforts to "push" out the seams again, and had to come back yet another time. ( now into week 4) and finally they took the time to correct the corners and actually leave 3 shop vacs running to properly assure the liner was pulled in correctly and seams/wrinkles eliminated while we fill our pool for the 3rd time. I came home to inspect after work and noticed a "bulge" in the floor, sure enough they left an outlet cover UNDER the pool floor. I had to call Jim again and an hour later one of the same guys came back out to remove the item. He knew exactly where it was, and when confronted he told me he told his boss but the boss told him to leave it. This has been a disaster and over 4 weeks - Jim Long / Concept Pools has not accepted any blame but has placed it on his crew, the crew boss and the vinyl liner manufacturer. Our contract was with Concept Pools, not his subs, or anyone else. He also offered no discount, no apologies, just mentioned I can mail the final payment to him. Dishonest, assumes no liability, and he sub-contracts his labor and falls victim to their availability and had to change the schedule constantly. Stay clear and find someone else to do any pool work, landscaping, and other services they provide. I will live up to my obligations, unlike Concept Pools. read more
