This exchange all transpired after asking details about a "guarantee" they offered. In short it was in fact never a guarantee, just a pressure technique to up charge. I had been relaxing it for a long time so I was in the dark when it came to how I was supposed to care for my hair. Instead of running to the naturalistas on YouTube, I decided to get in touch with someone more local. I am incredibly lucky to have had Victoria of Beauté VMV educate me on how to take care of my natural hair. You couldn't find someone more professional, informed, and kind for my natural hair journey. I have had to switch up products as my hair grew and we realized the complexity of my hair (it's a combination multiple hair types and is incredibly thick). Victoria guided me through the process and we've found a hair care ritual that really works for me. It's always a little scary to drastically change up looks so I'm glad to have her as my hair consultant. She and the other owners/team at the salon are incredibly patient, skilled, and non-judgmental. they have a variety of skills so if you need braids, twists, extensions, wigs, locs, or the old wash & go then they got you covered. This place is my hair temple and I know that I'm literally in good hands with them.

The cut was very good, with my stylist kept asking me a few times if the length was right as he was cutting. I gave them a 25% tip for the great job. Sixhaut is a smart, well designed salon in an interesting building. Owners Jordan and Jesse are professional, knowledgeable and truly experienced. My appointment with Jordan started with a frank discussion of my expectations, the level of my ability to work with my hair and Jordan's thoughts and vision about what looked best on me. His level of expertise was unparalleled as my cut was perfect! I've never felt so confident. My cut was stylish, relevant and it fit me to a "T. And thanks to Jordan's thoughtful discussion regarding my ability to work with the new style, my hair continues to look fresh. When I next return, I plan on Jordan doing my color. His own hair is an envious example of what mine could be. We discussed how I loved his gold tones. Amazingly, his vast industry knowledge informed me that Aveda clove shampoo would enhance and enrich the warm tones to give me the gold in the interim. Bravo Jordan, a truly exciting and comprehensive experience!

When you pay $70 +tip for a mens haircut at a salon, there is a minimum bar of customer service & attention -- every single time that bar has not been met. If you're available between 11am - 4pm to patiently deal with front desk staff while they figure out how to use their systems, re-repeat your name, phone number, email, schedule and your preferred stylist (and call you repeatedly), and then find no slots for you in the next month.. this place is for you. If you feel that $70 (+tip!) warrants customer service that goes above and beyond and offers flexibility to your 9-5 working schedule **without charging a "no-show" fee after you call to say you're late and get the answering machine** then you might want to look elsewhere. To the management: I recommend a review of front desk staff policies & interactions. The two front desk staff seem more interested in Instagram than customers. PS.
