This is long over due. Went there over a year ago, I had to do a full exam for work. Waited and was forgotten about in one of their exam rooms. Got there right at opening left around 1 pm. I had to do an annual exam (blood work required) for just health. I was beyond petrified because of the horrible experience I had here. I don't give blood often. But my god they did a horrible job here. I was bruised for days!!!!! I just had my blood drawn at quest and they did an amazing job. One shot and done. No bruising after. Don't walk, Run from the Berkeley location!!! I went to this location yesterday bleeding after a work incident. They forced me to complete a filed claim with my jobs insurance before I could even be put on the 1hr wait list. At least 11 people went in front of me before they would even give me gauze to sop up the blood from my injury. The facility is not sterile and pretty ran down. The lady at the front desk finally added me to list and never even asked for the claim details after she hushed me away the first time. The doctor came in limping and in bad shape. She barely wanted to touch my wound. Then had me run it under water to clean it before gluing my wound. No antibiotics no additional care or inspection was offered. I had to ask her to rap it up because it was still bleeding through the terrible glue job. And basically had to wrap it myself. The next day I went to the Concord location and it was night and day. They are happy to check you in when you arrive while you wait and complete paperwork, they actually appear as a doctors office with clean rooms and actually asked questions to get all the details of my injury. They even offered snacks and lighting changes for the room. It was 100% worth the drive. Concentra, please help this location improve they don't realize how an already stressful situation turned into a nightmare. read more

On phone they told me to come in and I even asked if they had any lunch hours they said no but when I got there they had me wait 2 hours then said there physician is goin on lunch and will be back in an hour and after I waited they had me in a room waiting for another hour to just get my physical. Total wait time: 4 hours, but I'm not here to complain about the wait time because I understand that being busy and understaffed is a very demanding and difficult job. I commemorate all the hard working doctors, nurses and administrators for handling such a heavy workload in these times. 1 star for terrible attention to detail and screwing up my requested employment services (drug test, immunization and blood titers) and causing me to still be unemployed. I booked a month out in advanced with no fuss and notified them well in advance what services I needed done. I even called before the appointment to remind them and to confirm that services will be completed to finish my on boarding process. Very unprofessional for doing my blood titers and testing for the wrong things. They had my employer form in front of them telling them what needed to be done. Yet they somehow failed to complete any of the requested items. Very disappointing. read more

My doctor ordered a special blood test that has to be processed at a lab out of state. Concentra is the closest location that will draw the blood and ship it for me. I walked in and was just totally grossed out by the place. Everything was so dirty, they were dust bunnies everywhere, and the floor looks like it hadn't been cleaned in a year. There's no way I would trust these people to safely draw my blood! I feel bad for the Worker's Comp patients who have to go here. read more

Haven't wrote a review in a while but this place isn't great. I was here waiting for over an hour at the end of the day. Other people came in after me for the same screening and left before me. Just sitting in the back now and they said sorry they got my chart wrong. I was literally the last one sitting there and went up to ask the front twice. If you have to come here, just keep walking up to the front and double checking because it sounds like they get things wrong here a lot. I get it, I have a clinic, but I would advise my staff to estimate time and let patients know. read more

I came here for a pre-employment physical, a quantiferon gold blood test, a color blind vision screen and a drug test prior obtaining hospital privileges. The lady at the front desk could not figure out how to order these tests and said she would have to check me for them individually, which was just too burdensome for her to do. Isn't this what the clinic is there for? This is not an unusual list of items. After 40 minutes of back and forth, I went to a different concentra clinic and they were able to handle it just fine and didn't even bat an eye at the request. I would skip this one. read more

Incompetent staff, can't fill out paperwork or read instructions, very poor experience.

I was pretty worried about waiting all day to get a spot for my walk-in appointment for mask-fitting and physical exam since most complaints were focused on that. To my pleasant surprise, I was seen within about 30-45 mins of being in the office, and the majority of that time was just spent on me filling out paperwork's anyway. The office staff and practitioner who worked with me were very courteous and professional. I'm not a frequent-flyer nor a fan of urgent cares, and I'm hoping to keep it that way. Concentra isn't what I'd expect to have my pre-employment tests done at, so today's experience really changed my perspective on the business. I'm hoping I don't have to do any other tests or visit an urgent care for health-related matters anytime soon, but I'm glad I was well taken care of by this center. read more

Pre employment testing tips to Survive Concentra: If you need a drug screen, don't drink a ton of fluids and expect to pee in a cup within an hour. Your wait will be 2 to 3 hours on any given day. If you need to take care of any other business, expect to be here for at least 3 hours. Even if you come at opening 8am. Have your employer send you a copy of the order for your test. They have sent them to concentra but the front desk staff will not readily find it. If you need a respirator fit test, have your company give you the tracking number of the mask because the staff will appear to have no knowledge of this. If your hiring hospital needs a TSPOT lab draw for TB, have your company call the site to make sure they have the test available . This is my personal advice after attending 3 visits at 2 separate locations. Good Luck read more

Having worked as an RN at John Muir Health since 2008 I've come to expect a high level of clinical expertise paired with compassion. Unfortunately, the treatment that I've received while under the care of the physicians at Concentra for a work related injury been a disappointment on all levels. Dr. Wagner and Dr. Candelaria have failed in most instances to ask even cursory questions about my pain and symptoms and have performed limited physical examinations. My father, a retired physician, was able to pinpoint my pain to the C4-C5, C5-C6 intervertebral space with a simple targeted physical exam of my cervical region, something none of the doctors did. After my first brief meeting with Dr. Wagner he approved me to frequently (defined as up to 6 hours a day) push/pull and lift up to 15 lbs. I had to plead to have the weight restrictions lowered. None of the physicians have observed me lifting weights to observe my tolerance nor have they conferred with the chiropractor they referred me to, to see if I could tolerate such weight limits. My chiropractor, Reggie, has the opportunity to work with and observe me for several hours a week yet there is no communication between himself and my physicians. While under the care of the physicians at Concentra my functional ability has not improved and some of my symptoms, such as the numbness and tingling have gotten worse. Despite this they continue to approve me to work my full twelve-hour shifts and continue to liberalize my weight restrictions. Nursing is not just a job for me but a passion and calling and I don't want a poorly managed injury and being rushed back to full duty to jeopardize my future in the profession. These places seem to all hire the same type of front desk people that give absolutely 0 shyts about their jobs. If you aren't in their faces you will sit for hours. They just forget and when you ask questions they mumble and give the least helpful answers I think that are humanely possible. Always short little latinas with fucking attitudes. read more

My daughter went there today - Wed 02/14/2024 for serious vomiting and fever conditions. Very very poor service.. She waited for 2 hours and finally told that she cannot get an I.V fluid. Quite bad service. I do strongly recommend to look for better facility. Absolutely incompetent staff. Will write to the authorities to shut this down at the earliest. read more

The Dr. who was to perform my physical exam was very unprofessional. From the moment she walked in the room you could feel this off vibe. I was prejudged or stereotyped before she even spoke to me. Me being a 6'5 400+ lbs African American male was handled with disdain. The Dr. walked into the room never said hello, never made eye contact with me, didnt perform my physical exam properly and failed me. All she did was check my nerves look in my mouth proceeded to tell me I had sleep apnea then failed me. This is my livelihood she is toying with. I plan to have this matter looked into. read more

Absolutely terrible experience. I had an 0800 am appt. They were terribly rude to me even though I had email proof of my app stating I do not have an appt. I asked a few times about how long it will take, they practically ignored me. I explained I have patients to see myself and will need to begin reorganizing my day if they could give me an idea...crickets. Still waiting, over an hour has gone by. Please don't go to this place, I went there at 9:42, and 12:55 I was still waiting, and still telling me they're still waiting for a room to be clean, I never had to wait for so long at an urgent care clinic, it is ridiculous how they had people waiting to see a doctor, they funny thing is, they even asked me if I wanted to come back, after I've been waiting for more than 3h, I was like, no, I have been here for 3 hours, I don't want to leave and come back, what kind of question was that? I went for drug screening again several weeks later and got two brand-new excuses for why they couldn't do it. Like last time, the person at the desk had a different reason than the nurse: the former said that the computers were down, and the second said the equipment used for analysis was too old and awaiting a replacement. Once again also, no one answered the phone even though there's always someone sitting in silence here, so I couldn't get this obviously false information beforehand. read more

I brought my 90 year old father-in-law for a bleeding problem this morning. We waited in a waiting room with four or five other patients waiting urgent care. Got there about 930 and one or two people have been admitted in and one or two people came out the back area in 30 minutes. the receptionist announced that our insurance was inactive. We were told to pay cASH. Couple hundred bucks. Copay is $25.00 I began to call the numbers on the back of the United healthcare card and the receptionist began calling somebody soon as I did that. We both confirmed it my father-in-law did have the insurance that had sent us there. 11:00 we got called into back room 11:49 Dr came told us stuff nothing in writing essentially prescription for antibiotics. I know in this world of pandemics and staffing shortages and greedy corporations oppressing the working people I shouldn't be so frustrated but the idea that elderly people could be getting fleeced out of their cash for no reason just gets me. read more

It don't matter who comes first if they don't like you they will make you wait for long i waited 4hrs i was the first one who came although they were helping people who came after me and it's because of the color of my skin but I was patient for 4hrs. After that I couldn't handle it I revoke my file. Never again think before you visit the place. read more

The worst concentra I've ever been in. The wait time was unnecessarily long. From the outside looking in, they're so backed up because the employees here are LAZY! They hardly open their mouths to ask what you're there for and DO NOT practice any discretion. I had to come to get a drug screening for a new job. I waited 2 hours to use the bathroom to pee in cup which I feel is ridiculous. A fast process shouldn't have had me vvughooowait a long period of time when I was not there to see a doctor. I highly do not recommend. read more

Do not go here if at all possible. I showed up right at opening time (8AM), signed in, and was made to wait for 4.5 (four and a half) hours for my walk-in pre-employment physical exam. Every hour the employee kept saying "it'll be another hour." I was at the facility for a total of 5.5 hours if you include the appointment itself. They also do not pick up the phone. This was clearly the cheapest occupational physical exam contractor my employer could find. Concentra doesn't care how the patients are treated or how long they have to wait because those patients' employers already paid for the contract. If your employer makes you go here, make them give you an authorization for a scheduled appointment with a specific time and NOT a "walk-in." You'll still have to wait, but at least it hopefully won't be as long as 4.5 hours. My employer did not give me a choice in the matter, but if I knew this place had service this poor, I would have demanded a scheduled appointment authorization from my employer at a minimum. read more

One staff member was highly unprofessional, lazy, and rude. The receptionist/lab worker claimed that she couldn't process my drug test even though I arrived at the clinic literally 50 minutes before closing. She claimed that she couldn't bc the FedEx delivery guy had already picked up all the tests. Her excuse sounded questionable and my suspicions were confirmed the next day when a different receptionist/nurse informed me that there had been no legitimate reason for the person to send me away the day before. Quality: 3 Service: 2 I came here for a drug screening a year ago, which was pretty inconvenient because I'm a student who lives close to campus. However, I ended up borrowing my roommate's car to get here, so it wasn't too bad. First, it took me a while to find the entrance to the place. I actually walked around the corner and had to ask someone where it was. Second, the wait was too long. I did walk-in, but there was no one else waiting, and I still had to wait for 10+ minutes. Maybe if they walk across the street and get some Scharffen Berger chocolates for me next time, I'll give them a higher rating. But for now, I'm giving them two stars. I found this place pretty stressful and disappointing. I made an appointment and still had to wait nearly three hours to see a doctor. They messed up something with my insurance which just meant more inconvenience/phone calls. After waiting three hours I got to see a PA for about five minutes, who prescribed me antibiotics that ended up not working. I went to a different urgent care center a few days later and the experience was night and day. I would not recommend going here at all. read more

The nurses remembered my name when I came in once before to schedule an appointment. The wait was no more than 15 minutes for me and I was a walk in. Obviously, don't come in during rush hour. The wait here is ridiculously slow. I had an appointment for 3pm and they said i wouldnt be able to be seen until at least 3.45-4pm. Whats the point of making an appointment then? I notice it happens a lot here (according to other yelp reviews) and this issue needs to be fixed because lots of us are busy and we cant just hang around waiting for another hour or more to be seen. They also had computer and printers problems on that day too which took even longer for me to do physical exam but I know technical problems happen so i dont mind that.But other than the long wait, the staff, MA, and doctors were nice. read more
