Was told it needed a compressor. That was on a Friday 7/23/2020. Bought a new compressor 7/25/2020 went across the street to Computune, and had the new compressor installed. While I was there I had them do a tune up, $914.62 added cost. Got there after store closed, van was left outside (which was fine by me), Drove Home 3 miles, AC still doesn't work, and van stalled pulling into my driveway. MILITARY BEWARE!!!!! If I could give it a negative star, I would. I had my car towed here after I had roadside assistance try to jump it twice. The last guy told me the battery had no charge and would need to be replaced.i spoke to the manager prior t towing it. I specifically told him I needed a battery and while it was there do a oil change as well. Once he got to it, the next morning, he called me and said. Are you sure it's the battery? I said yes. I know the alternator and starter were replaced in the last 4 months. He said we will check it out. I said ok. I guess that was code to do a diagnostic. I picked it u and my bill was 356.77. I was like for a battery and a 25.00 oil change. WTF. The technician said the diagnostic should of come off the labor that's why you don't see a labor charge. I was like 95.00 to take a battery in and out. It's still doesn't add up. Plus I'm suppose to get a 10% military discount. When I questioned that because I didn't see it on the bill. Got my exhaust noise fixed here $240.00 dollars. Same noise returned a week later. I took it back and he told me I needed new piping to take it to Big Als muffler and brakes. At big als they told me computune did Nothing! I would highly recommend this place to anyone!!! As a female I am very skeptical about taking my car to anyone. I have had the same mechanic for most of my life before moving. Most mechanic shops see a woman coming and will jack up the price, or have work done that doesn't need to be done. I took my car here last week very late in the day, unfortunately they weren't able to locate the problem without further diagnosis. I took my car back yesterday, dropped it off came back, and they were still trying to diagnosis the problem. The computer was not showing any codes/misfires/nothing everything was checking out fine, however we knew something was not right. The issue was found, however what little did they know i knew more about cars than they thought. So once they told me about the issue, i knew they were an honest, trustworthy company. I was not given the run around, they showed me exactly what the issue was, took the time to fully diagnosis the issue and not assume. I don't ever have to worry about taking my car to another shop this is where i will always take my car!!!! I have had extensive work done by them, but once my car was taken to the dealer I found out how bad this placed gyped me. They first changed out a spark plug, retail valued at seven dollars, they charged me 20 with a 40 dollar labor charge. They then changed out my ignition coil. They forgot to bolt it into place so it was just sitting in the car. The dealership fixed it for me. When they changed out the ignition coil they broke a wire and did not fix it so after a 75 dollar diagnostic at the dealership because the car would not start we found out why. We took my husbands car here because the engine light kept coming on, 800 dollars later they claimed to have fixed it. Not two days later the light came back on. They had only cleared out the codes. This place is shady and not reputable. Read all your paper work and request a detailed list before you allow them to work on your car. read more

Took my vehicle to get the air fixed. I was told that the heat had to be shut off in order for the air to blow cooler. After multiple days and an increase in my quoted price, the air was finally fixed - for 3 weeks. Not only was I left with no air but they never reversed the heat issue either. This is an update regarding the initial negative review I posted a month ago. I am speaking in behalf of my father base on what he told me a few days after CompuTune's owner followed up on him regarding the customer service experience he had received initially. We initially did not have the greatest experience at CompuTune. However, the owner, Tom personally reached out to my father following the incident and made things right. We were very impressed by how Tom handled the situation. We were also very impressed by how he turned an employees mistake and made it to be a teachable moment of learning to become better and avoid making the same mistakes moving forward. That leadership spoke volume to us. After Tom reached out, my father came to the shop the very next day and Tom immediately came out and shook his hand as well as my mothers hand and was very apologetic in behalf of his employee. He personally replaced the alternator, checked it, test drove the car etc. He even did extra services for the car which showed his true sincerity. For the following days that my father's car was on his shop due to other things that needed to be done, he was most certainly on top of everything, from the insurance and warranty calls to the littlest details like having to pick my father up when the car was made available for pick up. Needless to say, we were very grateful! One mistake of an employee does not define the body of the company. This showed my family and I about one thing and that is what the core of this company is all about....VALUE. Value is something that people want or need. It could be a product or a service. It could also be a solution to a problem. In this case, it was all of the above. Nowadays, that is hard to see in a company - that alone will be the determining factor to me as to where I can bring my vehicle. Brought in a car for a check up before a road trip. Was told needed front and rear brakes and rotors even though rear was done a month ago. Was also told other items totaling $1600! He charged me $100 for checkup but would not give me a copy of the estimate which is against the State laws. Took it to another business for tires estimate where it was revealed that other than front pads nothing else was needed. Sorry to see a place I have used for years now managed by a scammer who fabricates issues to run up a repair. Went there yesterday for a belt and found out that I needed a new water pump and they wanted to charge over $500 for something that cost less then $100 for parts and labor they are price gauging people that don't have any other choice especially while my husband is in another state and can't help during this time the belt alone they wanted $50 for and that by itself was going to be $155 so fair warning don't go there if you want to save money!!!! read more

You probably should stay away from here unless it's just an oil change I had them change lightbulbs and there was a big complication with that but however the biggest problem with the situation was that I had bought two lightbulbs and ended up having to buy another two light bulbs just because one of the technicians threw away the extra light bulb that wasn't being used for the One light that needed to be replaced. So the Lightbulb socket was what needed to be replaced all along so that burned up the Lightbulb that they replaced but however if they didn't throw away the other one they could've use that to replace it! Had to get my suspension brushes replaced. Everywhere else quoted me at $650-$770, they did it for $465. So far the car drives fine and they gave me my old parts to keep. Friendly service however they take a little more time than what they tell you. My car was supposed to be done around 2pm, finished around 5pm. I brought my 07 nissan altima in beacause it was leaking transmission fluid. It's been in and out of the shop 5 times in 2 months for various issues. I have been a steady customer at Computune for 4 years now. Starting when I bought a Junker from a used car dealer and it started to have issues. I had all the work done until it eventually needed a new planetary system and unfortunately I was not going to pay twice what I had for the car for repairs, Afterwards when the new car I purchased needed transmission work I took it straight to Computune. The work was done quickly and cheaply, Eric was very nice and understanding about my limitations. If I need any work in the future I will definately be bringing my car back there. My only complaint is that they don't do inspections, but I understand about the space limitations. read more

I took my wife's car into the shop to get an oil change and tire rotation and they were pretty quick to get to it and take care of it. Thought it would be a good experience for me. Went to drive it out of the shop and immediately started hearing this loud scraping and beating noise and pulled off into a parking lot. Before I could even turn around the back right wheel almost came off and had to pick up the lug nuts of the ground. They did not tighten down the tire. So after putting the wheel back on I drove back over there and told them what happened they made it out like it was my fault. Then when I asked them to refund my money back because it was clearly their fault, they told me that they were not authorized to refund money and that I would have to take it up with the owner. Not only did they not properly refill the engines oil, they failed to put grease in the tie rod ends when they finished. I just picked my car up today from this auto shop. I highly recommend not going here. I brought it in 2 weeks ago for a tune up because I had a problem with a spark plug. I had saw the reviews seemed to be legit. I had left the car for a couple weeks due to being underway, they let me keep the car there for no charge which I did very much appreciate. When I got back my shift knob was missing a piece of leather which was not like that when I brought it in. My gas was empty had 1 mile to go on it. They told me that it was so low from pulling it in and out 2 weeks of moving a car a couple feet does not loose half a tank. Then I drove for 2 min and I had lost all my coolant my light came on. Brought it to the shop I normally go too which was not open at the time of my missfire. He found right away that one of the hoses at the top of my radiator had a 2 in cut through it which again I would have noticed before I got there. They put gas in my car so thank you for that, gave me $5 for to get my car vaccumed because there was ciggarette ashes in my car keep in mind this is a BMW and I dont smoke so I was very upset about that. Then at the end the (Owner) raises his voice with me told me and I quote" I am not happy with you steve" he said he didn't appreciate me taking advantage of them, which is not the case I have a nice car that I want to keep nice and do things with to find all these things out is complete and uterly incompetent. He said I support military and we handle our military customers well. In my situation that was completely a lie. went to computune for a repair. without asking they inspected the car and said "you won't pass the state inspection at the end of the month...you need new brakes and rotors...cost $590" well, they didn't put it in writing...so, I didn't trust them. went to another place for inspection........my brakes were fine!!! they didn't need any work ! if I had the claim on the brakes in writing...I would have reported them to the state. caveat emptor ! avoid this place read more

Okay so I might change this later, first off I will give this store credit for free towing which me and my fiancée did need. Also their prices are lower than the other shops. But we brought the car in last Friday and now it is the the next Saturday, with still no car. We had them put in a new clutch, brakes, and belts. They said it would be done Friday (yesterday) but then the keys were not done programming we understood even though they had said it would only take two hours at most. I called them way after two hours wondering if there was a problem, so then they told me that they would call us in the morning because it would be done first thing. I go to get the car and still it's not done. And they've been open for two hours, and they haven't even had the courtesy to call and tell us that there have been problems. My fiancée and I have had to call them as well as drive up there to see the progress. That's just not good business in my opinion. read more
