I hate writing bad reviews it's not something I enjoy doing especially when it means hurting…read moresomeone's livelihood. To share my details of my experience I brought my laptop in for a broken display after having a pleasant conversation with the person at the front desk and him ensuring me that my laptop would be completed by the following Monday "brought it in on Saturday" I waited until today (May 9) to get my laptop due to them not touching it until I payed a non refundable $105 dollar deposit that was not mentioned prior in our conversation. After paying the bill the hit me with another invoice of $485! Almost half the price of the laptops worth for a part that I purchased online for $120. After declining repairs upon my arrival today I waited over an hour in the parking even though the door sign saying open and the website hours saying open eventually someone came to the door and I had to wait another 30 mins for them to put my laptop back together even though I called the day prior and them saying I could pick it up today. I understand things aren't always perfect but I believe this experience was one of the worst experiences I ever had with an IT company before and I highly recommend anybody to think twice about using this company.

To start, they do not provide any sort of price estimate upfront and charge a deposit to even inspect the item. Read the paperwork carefully because it apparently says the deposit is nonrefundable if you don't choose to go through with the service, however that is never explained. They kept my device for several days (after assuring me it would be a quick turnaround). They provided no sort of update when I called and did not respond to emails. I called five other local repair shops during this time and every single one provided me a price estimate either over the phone or via email. When I finally received the quote -- let me add that they sent an initial quote that was incorrect then sent another that was over $200 more... -- I chose not to go through with the service so they refused to refund my deposit. The store associate even went as far as to tell me that anyone who would give me a price over the phone was trying to "bait and switch" me?! Meanwhile nobody else has charged me a nonrefundable deposit while promising fast, responsive service that never happened. The irony. The owner himself reached out to me and said he would review the recorded calls to see if I was not informed about the nonrefundable deposit and if that was in fact the case he would refund it back to me "plus $10.00"..... this was on a Friday and he asked if he could call be back on the following Tuesday. It's been over a week and he never followed up and ignored my email (like they have the entire time). Unprofessional, frustrating experience. Lesson learned for sure!

On January 6th, 2023, I needed to replace my phone. I was ready to buy a Google Pixel 7 on Amazon…read morefor $335. I needed to have my data transferred to the new phone so I went to Victra (a Verizon store) at 4753 Route 80 East in Savannah, Georgia, spoke with David and Brandy (the store manager) to see if they would transfer the data to a new phone even if I wasn't going to purchase it there. They said no, but they said they were having a special on the Google Pixel 7 phone and it would only cost $350. (As I would come to find out, they were NOT having a special on the phone). Thinking that there was only a $15 difference, I decided to buy it at the store. I was not on any committed plan (it's month-to-month) and explicitly stated that did not want to be on any plan as a result of this transaction. I specifically said "ANY plan". They verified that I would NOT be on a plan. The return period was 30 days. The next bill that came did not have any new transactions on it, but that was because the cycle had closed before I bought the phone. It wasn't until a couple of weeks later that I received the next bill that showed a $10 finance charge. I called the store repeatedly but was always redirected to a call center. Not once did anyone at the store answer. I drove back out to the store and asked David about the line item. He told me that the first month will show a $10 charge and the second month will show another $10 charge, but there will be a $20 credit on it as well. David said that every month thereafter, the bill will show a $10 charge with a $10 credit. Since it was a wash, I thought it was fine and started driving home. As I was driving home, I realized that there was some amount that was being financed, which would lock me into something of which I was not informed. I drove back to the store and asked David about it, and he said that $370 was being financed. He said the phone cost $720 but with a $370 discount, the price came out to $350. What he neglected to tell me was that the $370 discount was locking me in where I won't be able to change my phone without being responsible for the balance. After speaking with David and Brandy, they said that there was nothing that they would do. Now I m locked into a 3-year financing plan where I cannot change anything about my phone without incurring a large penalty. This was clearly a very sneaky way of selling me a phone and I can't believe that the store manager would allow such a shady transaction- she was there during the entire initial transaction. They disregarded what I asked for as far as plans go so that they could benfit from a financed amount. The BBB closed the complaint because Victra didn't respond.
