Absolutely a horrible company to deal with when a family member passes away. I wanted to express my huge dissatisfaction with this company. It took me a year and a half to finally remove my father, who passed away, off of the account to which him and my mother had together. This company made me jump through hoops just to talk to someone on the phone regarding the transfer process. The things I had to do to get all of the paperwork together was absolutely unbelievable. My mother is elderly and could not have done this by herself. I am her power of attorney and that didn't even help me to talk to anyone on her behalf with this company. You would think that when someone passes away that all you would need to provide is a legal original death certificate, but not with this company. It was absolutely a horrible experience just to get my father removed from the account and have myself added. My mother couldn't do anything with the account until we removed my father. She couldn't even sell her stocks. Now I am sure I will have to go through this whole process again when she passes. I really think this company should go back to the round table and rethink this process to which they make people go through when they are grieving. It is sad that certain companies make things so difficult for people. read more

I had the misfortune of dealing with Computershare, and I have to say it was one of the worst customer experiences I've had. Their administrative processes are outdated and inefficient, causing unnecessary delays and frustration. Every time I had to contact their customer service, I was met with unhelpful and unprofessional representatives who seemed more interested in deflecting blame than solving my problems. Their communication was unclear and often contradictory, leaving me more confused than when I started. To make matters worse, Computershare's fees are exorbitant compared to other companies in the industry, and their platform is clunky and unintuitive. I can't understand how they are still in business when there are much better alternatives out there. Save yourself the headache and avoid Computershare at all costs. Your time and money are better spent elsewhere. read more

This company is terrible. Trying to handle my Mom's estate and they give you the complete run around. They say they're going to send forms and don't. Then I sent in a full packet of paperwork after hours on their site where their chatbot sucks. I sent everything registered mail and they left a VM that they have a question, and if I don't call they will send a letter to tell me why they can't proceed. In other words they want me to start the whole process again. Called back the number - HOUR long hold time just for them to give me the run around again. Do NOT do business with this company, and transfer your holdings if you have any. My dad is also 87, who I am trying to help, so the fact that they make this so difficult is literally EVIL. They are the WORST. read more

My dad passed away October 2020 and my 89 year old mother has been trying to cash out an account worth only just under $4,000. I realize that's not a lot of money to most people but to an 89 year old woman who recently lost her husband of 72 years that IS a lot of money. She and I have been dealing with Computershare for several months now and this company runs us in circles and does absolutely nothing to help her! It is to the point where they are essentially robbing her. It appears that my next option is to contact the State Attorney General's Office in Kentucky because what this company is doing to my elderly mother both financially and emotionally is elderly exploitation and is criminal. DO NOT DO ANY BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY, PERIOD! read more

Have been fighting with this sad company sense may of 2017 to get my stock reissued. They mailed my stock to then scottrade and didnt mail it certified so when it got "lost" they charged me 5% of the stock value plus there fee for being stupid. On top of that they have been withholding my dividend checks for the entire time this process has been going on. TD Ameritrade who bought scottrade cant even get these people to get anything done. This company is absolutly worthless. After getting my gold medallion paperwork from tda and giving them a $555 money order to reissue my stock its constantly oh you need this or you need that paper. FUCKING PIECE OF SHIT COMPANY. read more

A company run by idiots. They have told me so many stories. But their bottom line is to stall and stall. They told me to send a letter that I wanted to sell my shares of stock. So I sent via FedEx and no reply after 3 weeks. I called and called. They told me I needed more documentation. I sent it via FedEx and via email and called them with no response. I talked with Amy Fisher "TEAM LEADER" -- what a joke. This company is run by MORONS ! Ms. Fisher would not call or respond to my emails. Management at Computershare is Non-Existent ! Buyer beware ! I think they sell when it is highest and tell you 3 weeks later they sold when it was lowest. read more

Terrible company to work for! They take care of management that continuously harrases and attacks employees but since certain human resource individuals protecting management turn a blind eye again and again many employees are left to suffer because COMPUTERSHARE refuses to handle these jerks!! I have to fight for a job I love and am good at cause of this person.. who has had multiple complaints against her but because she has a best friend in HR she is invisible.... while others have today with her and her psycho and racist antics. Congrats Comutershare for continuing to employ management that is obviously RACIST! read more

One star is too many. My Godmother died two years ago. As the Trustee I have been trying to sell one security she owned in a trust since she passed. Every call is met with a different set of directions and once followed the request to sell denied. The instructions then change with the next call and the terrible process is repeated. I've spent 40+ hours on the phone with this company as they do not email. One of the worst companies anyone would ever have to deal with. John R. read more

Extremely disappointing experience with Computershare customer service. I spent over an hour on the phone, mostly waiting, only to reach representatives who seemed unhelpful, unprepared, and unwilling to resolve the issue. The offshore support experience was frustrating from start to finish -- poor communication, long hold times, and no sense of urgency or accountability. For a company handling important financial matters, the level of customer service is unacceptable. read more

As others have experienced, Computershare claims my stock certificate was replaced 17 years ago in June of 2001, but I never requested a replacement nor did I receive any information regarding a replacement certificate. They will not accept the original for liquidation and are charging me $80 for an Affidavit and Application for Lost Securities processing fee and a $20 Liberty Bond Premium. This is for OGE stock purchased back in June of 1998. read more

Worst experience I have ever had with any business. I would give a negative 1 if I could. I had a simple request and held a total of over three hours on several phone attempts. I emailed many times and never got a response. The log in system for online access is also bad. Would not accept my ss# and have had an account for some time. Once I get my stock rolled over I will never ever use Computershare again. My advice - stay away!!! read more

Only a fool uses Computershare. Make no mistake - Their customer service model is designed to make it very difficult to get at your assets. My take is that their operation is border line fraudulent. When you think of Computer share you should think of leadership that idolizes Bernie Madoff and Sam Bankman-Fried. Simply a Pathetic Company. read more

This company sucks! I sent in a simple transfer request after my mother died and they send me back a letter about a lost security. Are they kidding me???? They now have my certificate and I have to chase them to get it put in my name (in was in both our names before). I would avoid doing business with this company at all costs!!! read more

Shocking customer service!! Whenever I buy sticks I just hope that the company share registry is managed through Link or Boardroom as they can manage fix problems and actually reply to emails and complaints!! computer ignore all of these basic rules!! it's like dealing with Telecom in the 80's read more

Computershare is worst company ever!!!! The company is still working in the prehistoric time when there is an issue logging into your account. Does Computershare email you a link to reset your password? Hell no! Computershare uses snail mail to send a temporary password. read more

I have been forced to deal with this company against my will. It is a company that is obviously able to stay in business despite a business process that belongs in the 1900's. I would do anything to find alternatives, which I guess is difficult to do for some reason. read more
