Me and my son have been coming here for almost 7 years and they have let their success go to the head...their customer service is getting worse ....if you are t not a friend or family be prepared to wait hours....no kinda of people skills wat so ever....fame isn't the only thing that changes people...I wish the best to this shop but me or my son won't ever go back after last week James read more

I used to take my little brother to get his haircuts here. Always took forever even though he had an appointment.

Bro this place me la chupa. Showed up two hours before they closed waited the whole time only to have other people come infront of me because they brought the barber alcohol. Don't waste your time. read more

Called ahead if they were open and they said yes, literally got there in 10 min and they're closed. Shit place

Horrible service. Never again!! I have tried to get cuts three times for my boys. First time guy cancelled appointment when I got there, second time they were closed early and today I called in the morning the fella told me come after 4:00 anytime before 6:00 last time to start a cut is at 6:30 as a walk in Arrived at 5:17 they tell me that they cannot they are closing. Very disappointing as they are in the neighborhood and I thought it would work. Bad service and a real don't care attitude by the two guys in the shop. read more

I've become well acquainted with this shop. My son's barber is Chuy and that man gets down!!!! We've been coming here for 2 years now and hands down, Chuy gives my son the best haircuts. They are pretty busy so you'd have to try and catch it when it's slow. Also, there are a lot of regulars here so the wait can be long for walking. Nonetheless, it's worth the wait!! Ask for Chuy and tell him you heard about him on yelp read more

I decided to stop texting Izel and let things simmer down for about a week or two while I let my sun seared ass heal. I decided to just show up and of course with my luck she was on break but hey, we all gots to eat. I came in and she was ab k e to see me almost immediately. I don't think she recognized me first but she was very sweet and professional. She made conversation, we talked about her super adorable mixed kids because I'm a mixed kid too and then I got to meet her little dude. Curls to die for! It was nice seeing the family element in this shop. I'm sad that nobody fist bumped me but I'll live. Okay back to my review. I gave her an idea for my undercut and I told her to just do her thing and guess what?? She threw down! Izel is a true artist. She should compete. I will be a forever customer because there arent too many people that i can trust to do my hair and do a good job at the same time. The issue in the first place was that she may not have understood why I wanted to pay before I went (sounds dumb but I just like to get up and go). She did get burned before and so she wanted to cover her ass...shit I would too. There clearly was also a language barrier but all is good when you make peace and love. ALL HAIL IZEL! *Picture coming soon. read more

I have been coming here for sometime now and I've came to realize some barbers are koo and do a good job but they are completely booked most of the time and some are very unprofessional and don't take what they do serious. example they will set appointments with u and they never show up, ive been coming here for almost 2 years now this will be my last time coming. read more

If I could give 0 stars, I'd give it -5. I waited 5 hours to get a haircut even though I had an appointment. Literally everyone in the city of Compton got a haircut before me just because they knew George...I missed my homies funeral to get this haircut and it still came out fucked up. Never coming back, you guys lost a loyal customer. I usually never write yelp reviews but damn this experience was crazy. read more

If I could give less stars I would , this place sucks their customer service is non existent . When you walk in your greeted by no one , I only came to this place because I saw their sign out back that said they welcome walk ins but I did not feel very welcomed . I walked in and come to find out they only do appointment only . Wow why even have that sign there ?? Lol read more

Recommend this place Personal barber Louie gets down with the cuts Pays attention to detail Also the artwork is sick read more

Literally came in here the first time and would never come again. sat down waited 20 minutes to be acknowledged while the barber was getting high outside not only did he act dumb once cutting my hair but cut half of my eyebrows down like dude I dont have a problem you smoking but at least know what you doing read more

I went 1hr 30mins before closing and I was sitting waiting for my turn. Which was about an hour later to find out that all three barbers that were there were leaving. I wish I was told an 1hour ago so I wouldn't be there wasting my time very unprofessional and none of the barbers seem to care or even apologize for what happened in all my years of going to barbershops this has never happened before read more

This place is a joke. These dudes do t care about the "customer" When you get there, you sign in then wait several hours, there friend comes in and wow you are place at the back of the list. Make an appoinment and they wont honor it. Stay away from this place not worth the $20 a cut. read more

Been coming here for over a year and been getting cut from barber Mike. Mike has shown nothing but professionalism and customer hospitality from the beginning. It's good to have a barber that's not just worried about cutting but also worried about their customers well being. Thanks Compton Cuts! S/O Chuy also.. Great barber too. read more

So rude. They completely ignore people unless you have an appointment and only talk to one another and then when I called to make an appointment the woman that works there completely lost her mind and gave me attitude because she couldn't hear what day I wanted to schedule. Poor customer service unless you're their friend. They need to learn customer service skills and stop worrying about each other's personal lives. read more

When I walked into the barber shop, I did not get welcomed but felt very uncomfortable. The haircut was very bad and I waited for an hour before getting my turn. The haircut priced up to $50 for a simple buzz cut. I hate the place and wished to give 0 stars. read more

Louie gave me a first time hookup. Appreciate the generosity and great cut. Coming back to Compton Cuts

Enjoy making my appointment and not having to wait. Very clean, friendly environment. George always does a great job with my cut. Been coming here for a bit over a year now and been satisfied ever since. read more

Waited TWO AND A HALF hours for two kids haircuts with the barbers telling me my brothers were next after each client. Came in with three customers in front of me which was ok but, then three parties of two each came in and without saying anything they were attended by the barbers. No clarification if they had an appointment. My day wasted sitting on their low, uncomfortable sofa staring at paint chipped walls. Their "about" here on yelp says the strive for the best customer service. How can they give so little and expect so much?! Try putting out a list so those who respectfully came in and waited are attended too. read more

I went to this shop about a week ago. Tito hooked me up proper. Ty my guy. Plenty of seating, cool tvs and cool temps

This place isn't kid friendly, they have R rated movies and have music videos playing with profanity. And no certificates displayed for any of these barbers?? So are these certified barbers charging $20 for a haircut! read more

I just got a haircut with izel. It was my first time here I showed her a picture of what i wanted and she just went to work. She was very nice and did one hell of a job. I will definitely be going back. read more

DO NOT GO HERE. This is one of the worst places to get a haircut. Loud music prevents you from speaking to the barber, so if he messes up it's because he couldn't hear you. Half the workers are in the back parking lot smoking or doing other drugs while the others take appointments after appointments. The drugged up workers will then come in to cut your hair while they are high. To top it off, they actually charge you for making an appointment. Who does that? Worst place in Compton. Don't go here. It's terrible. read more

Been brining my 5 year old son here for a while now Ceaser cuts him very well. He's patient & takes his time making sure his line up is straight & crisp. I even trust him to use the razor while lining him up because he is very skilled. I highly recommend Ceaser! read more
