I sent my son here because he is an actor and needed a haircut immediately. This was his first time at this shop, and it will absolutely be his last. Before the haircut, the owner told my son that he was going to "get him right" and said he specializes in Black hair, so I expected my son to be in good hands. Unfortunately, the experience was the complete opposite. My son told me the barber was rushing through his haircut, being rough with his head, and pushing his head around instead of taking his time and treating him with care. The haircut itself was not what my son asked for at all. He cut his hair down way too much and gave him a style that looked completely different from what he wanted. My son described it as looking like a Mexican-style haircut rather than the haircut he asked for. What makes this even more upsetting is that my son is an actor, so his appearance and hair can matter for auditions, filming, and other opportunities. We trusted this barber after he specifically said he knew how to work with Black hair, but my son left extremely disappointed with the result. The entire haircut felt rushed and careless. If you are going to tell a customer that you specialize in their hair type and that you're going to "get them right," then you should take the time to listen to what they actually want. My son did not feel like he received that level of care here. I would not bring my son back after this experience. read more

I just moved to LA not too long ago. I went to many barbershops before I found PHARAOHS BARBERSHOP. Somebody I knew found out I was having trouble finding a barber, and my homie knows I always like keeping a fresh cut. He recommended me to someone specific; his name is Raul Salado. When I finally had the chance to get a haircut from him, everything I heard about him was facts. I was not disappointed at all. Raul is not afraid to be straight up and honest about questions you have about your hair. He will really help you out with anything you need regarding questions, feedback on something, advice on a different look, etc. He is also very patient with you and with the cut. Raul doesn't rush anything and likes ensuring his work is precise (with you looking as excellent/fresh as ever). When I got my first cut from Raul, I kept getting lots of compliments left and right, all thanks to him. Everybody kept hyping me up. It felt like a piece of art that was on me that everybody wanted to see and wanted to know who it was from. That feeling of not worrying anymore because you know you will come out of that barbershop looking so good afterward is an amazing feeling that always excites me to come back soon and get a re-touch. Even though I live far from PHARAOHS barbershop, it is worth the drive every time. I wouldn't go to any other barbershop ( MOST DEFINITELY)!! read more

If you're looking for a fantastic barbershop experience in SoCal, I highly recommend Pharaohs. From the moment I walked through the door, I felt like a valued customer. I was greeted warmly and made sure I was comfortable while I waited for my appointment. When it was time for my haircut, Omar took great care to give me the perfect style. He started with a relaxing hair wash and brush, which made me feel like royalty. As he worked, he treated me like a long-time friend, engaging me in conversation and making me feel at home. When Omar finished my haircut, he made sure I was completely satisfied with the result before I left his chair. I couldn't have been happier with the way it turned out. Even though I live in Sacramento, I'm already looking forward to my next visit to SoCal so I can schedule another appointment at Pharaohs. If you want a great haircut and a memorable experience, this is the place to go. read more

I don't know where to begin, let me say that this establishment take their time with you. The way that EVERY BARBER pays attention to your cut while you are in the chair is insane. I never been to a shop that does this and if the barber don't think it's right they will call another barber over for a verified look. This place will get you right always I always come here and I travel from Rancho Cucamonga to come. They treat everyone like family make sure you are comfortable. Also they provide you with a free drink of your choice. It does get busy but I will say it's worth every minute you are waiting. This is not your ordinary experience at a barbershop the way they prep you before your cut and how they cut your hair with the blade and clippers is pure talent. Everyone is respectful and friendly there is no weird vibes all positivity and motivation for all. read more

Definitely recommend coming to this Place. Not only was I welcomed with upmost respect and kindness by Miguel Angel but I also walked out with a great haircut. Miguel offered refreshments and pays great attention to detail from beginning to end as well as attention in doing exactly what I asked for my haircut. Hair enhancements was something I never knew about before coming in to this place and it made a great change in the way my haircut came out . To keep it short I left happy and with greater confidence and looking fresh and crispy as for my appearance plays a great role in my life. Will definitely be coming back to this place they above and beyond and their prices are very reasonable and their work is amazing quality. I recommend this place and definitely a 5 star for them. Thank you! read more

Raised and born in the area but currently live in the IE. I was in town with my family and wanted to get my boys and I some fresh cuts from back home since we were in dire need. I'll admit I used yelp to help me find Pharaohs & what convinced me was a review that said they welcomed anyone and were friendly. Needles to say they were that and more! My sons (6 &16) got their fresh cuts and loved them. I myself had the privilege of getting my cut by the owner! Who ended it with deep tissue massage gun! What? Now that's what you call top service. So please, give this shop a chance to see for yourselves what I speak of! Thank you gentlemen for your top of the line service! Hands on best barbershop I've ever been to. Will be making the drive from the IE! See you soon. read more

So first , I do not trust nobody with my hair. I have been with my barber for years but then he was out of town and my friend has recommended me Omar the barber. Let me just by saying MY HAIR HAS NEVER BEEN SO AMAZING. He is such a great artist on how he used his technique . It was very impressive and i was very amazed on the consistency of his hard work and how he made everything so perfect. I had such a great experience and definitely going back. It looks amazing and the place is so beautiful , it is literally a lounge you can play PS4 have a soda and get your cut . It's not only a barber shop it's literally a place to hang out . I will go back and letting my friends know. Thank you again Pharaohs read more

Never getting my haircut anywhere else, this place has changed the way I look at haircuts and the way I treat my hair. All the barbers here are genuinely passionate about what they do and care about giving you the best cut possible that works for you. This is a unique barbershop that is like no other, better than any other shop by a mile and you have to experience it to truly understand just how special it is. Been going to this shop when it was just Omar and it's expanded so much so fast for a reason. Best spot in LA and is only getting better. If you don't go to this spot you're missing out. Thank you Pharaohs! read more

I was in Lynwood for a work trip and needed a last-minute haircut, so I decided to try Pharaoh's Barbershop. The name promises luxury, but that's the last thing I experienced. The service felt like something out of elementary school, with mostly kids working there. The few older barbers didn't speak the language, and it seemed like the owner might be exploiting the staff. The way they talked about the company gave me the impression of a scam. To top it off, I ended up with a rash on my neck. No one there appeared to have a proper license to cut hair, making it feel extremely unprofessional. I won't be going back. read more

The last time I came to this barber shop was back in 2019 and I decided to come back since back to school week and a lot has changed. They have clean merch now and the environment is still spot on clean. Raul was my barber for the day and he did not disappoint. I don't usually like cutting my hair and after today might come monthly or two months depending on my schedule. The customer service was also very professional and the assistant manager and the other employees made me feel welcomed. And also for each customer that came in their barbers took their times to make their clients hair look fresh. read more

If you want the best haircut in LA, this is where you go! Omar hooked me up with THE MOST professional cut, and shave, I've ever gotten! I came back to work and everyone said I had hit a totally different level of finesse! Omar is kind, professional, extremely experienced, and always puts 100% in his work. I've been to other places where they take shortcuts, just to move on to the next customer, and do a half-a$$ job. Don't make the mistake of settling for anything but the best! So come down to Pharaohs Barbershop, where you are treated with respect and top-notch cuts! read more

Where do I begin, found out about this place from another customer, texted him Friday around 9:45ish and got a response, didn't think I would since it being so late, Omar texted me throughout the night in regards to booking and pricing, blow me away, scheduled the following day, Omar took care of me and my son. Was very detail and took his time, and gave me different options on styles of lineups. Never had that before. My new barber for sure... thanks again man I really appreciate it I drove from Long Beach, I wouldn't drive to another city if he wasn't good! read more

Pharaoh's is the barbershop to go to! Omar(owner) is one of the most genuine guys I have met. The first cut I ever got with him he went above and beyond. He knows what he is doing and he has such a passion for it that his cuts speak for itself. I can only believe that Omar would only hire barbers that have the same passion and skill as him. The shop has an awesome vibe to it. Relax and kick back with fellow gentlemen. Any customer that walks in the door they welcome with open arms. Seriously recommend this shop to anyone looking for a new barbershop. read more

Shout out to the homie Omar for taking care of my fade!!! He was very detail-oriented with the cut and took the time to make sure his work was clean. Most barbers dont pay attention to small details but Omar triple checks his work to make sure you leave a happy customer. The shop has a nice Pharaoh theme to it (black leather seats with gold trimmings as well as some art work) and the place is spotless and elegeant to say the least. I would recommend this barber to anyone of any age who wants the sharpest, cleanest, and freshest haircut around =) read more

I've been Omar's customer since late 2016 and been happy with my haircuts since then. Every time I walk into the shop, I walk out looking like a new man. It's what Omar does. He takes his time, he pays attention to every detail while he cuts your hair, and he enjoys his work. You will walk out of the shop loving the results.  The music in the shop is always great, it creates positive energy. The overall experience of this shop for me is at 100% I'm glad to have found a professional barber. read more

I went to Angel to get a cut. But let me tell you something that a haircut isn't part of the experience you get, but it's also the person who's blessing you with the cut. i enjoyed getting my cut with Angel and also the conversation we had, it's not just cause of the haircut, but by his personality, not just him but the rest of the crew are awesome as well, but getting my cut with Angel was very different to me, he is a great person, very positive and fun. wont stop coming to this place ! read more

Been coming here for about 6 months now and since day one they've always been welcoming; I don't speak for myself when I say I'm picky about where and who cuts my hair, that being said Carlos been leaving my ish crisp and pays attention to detail, he takes the time to double check with you that you're satisfied with your cut. I highly recommend Carlos and staff to any new clients looking for barbers that give you clean cuts all while having a clean and uplifting environment. read more
