I had an excellent experience at Prestige Barber Shop in Downey. Ivan cut my hair with incredible precision and attention to detail, and you can tell he takes real pride in his craft. He listened to exactly what I wanted and delivered a haircut that exceeded my expectations. I'm extremely satisfied with the results. The shop itself has a great vibe--it's clean, welcoming, and has TVs all around, making the experience even more enjoyable. Everyone there is friendly, professional, and genuinely passionate about what they do. If you're looking for a barber who pays attention to every detail and a shop that values quality and customer service, I highly recommend Prestige Barber Shop. Here's the haircut they gave me... after writing a bad review, they offered a refund and 3 free cuts, they proceeded to ghost me. Avoid at all costs. read more

Prestige Barber Shop is a great spot if you need a haircut. The vibe is alway on point too. They either have some good music playing or sports on the many TV's. George is my go to barber and he makes me feel like a new man every time he cuts my hair. George also cuts my 6 year old son's hair and my wife and i love it. There are also plenty of other good barbers to choose from so I'd definitely recommend going to get a cut at Prestige Barber Shop!! read more

Had my first cut at Prestige barber shop today... the shop itself is a very chill place with plenty of barbers... I only waited for about 10 minutes... Got my cut with Andrew.... And it went super well... I have stubborn hair but Andrew made a small suggestion and made the difference... he worked his magic with a fade and blended in my hair from the too back... and like I said... what a difference... found my go to barber.... He told me he takes appointments so next time I will set one up with him.... So in short i do recommend the shop and for sure Andrew! read more

Cool shop and very good service. Andrew gives the best cuts. He will leave you looking sharp every time.

FIRST TIME CUSTOMER! I can honestly say I finally found a barber for my son! And just looking at the results of all the man in the shop I believe this place will leave you a CLEAN, FRESH cut! Shout out to ERIC for making my son look so handsome! Super clean cut and I'm impress with this style. Other barbers will leave my son head itchy and bumpy. This place is a vibe. Horrible service unprofessional, the barbers Are rude cuts are expensive. Save your money there's way better shops to go to.

My cousins gotten a hair cut by Eddie the handsome man with ghost face tattoo, they love how clean he made them look. My brother got a haircut too my brother went from a 6 to a 10 real quick after the haircut. Gym guys from Fit nation in Norwalk started going with Eddie and they put their own homies on. Don't sleep on Eddie he has a decade of experience :) read more

the guy i had didn't know how to cut hair, didn't line up the taper in the back, went to high in the burst fade, couldn't blend, and was really rough when cutting hair was like digging into my head, he also made me bleed when lining me up on my forehead. Never coming here again worst experience ever read more

Took my 5year old here for a haircut. The gentleman who cut his hair was very patient and did exactly what I requested.

I've frequented Prestige barber shop quite a few times, mainly as a walk-in, and it's been quite the journey. The barbers here have different styles, some better than others, but generally, the quality is good to great. I never really got to know the people here, and that was never my intention either. I have my trusted barber whom I've known for a while, and this place was my go-to for a quick cut when I couldn't make it to him. Overall, up until this point, it seemed like a solid choice. But oh, how things changed one morning around 8:30! The staff already had appointments, so I decided to wait for a while. Eventually, someone was available, introducing himself as the assistant manager. From that point on, everything went downhill. During the cut, he kept criticizing my hair, calling it a "whole ass project." It was tolerable at first, but come on, every two minutes? To top it off, he and the guy next to him were about to throw hands, squabbling like two siblings forced to sit next each other during a long trip, forcing the shop owner to intervene and break up their bickering multiple times. Unfortunately, this guy decided to take out his frustration on my hair, resulting in one of the worst cuts I've had in the last decade. The hard part he gave me resembled the chaotic 405 freeway, and he totally butchered my mustache and facial hair. I walked in with a full, shaggy beard and came out looking like a cleaned-up version of Carlton from the Fresh Prince of Bel-Air. Pencil mustache and all (which I know some people may love, but is not my style, and not what I asked for). Once the shock settled in, I called to complain, and he offered a free cut to make things right. I initially accepted it, but everyone knows that accepting a free cut is a risky game that rarely turns out in your favor. So I decided to not show up. Overall, I'd rate the shop a 3/5. Little things add up, like the outdated $5 appointment fee and the occasional bad attitudes from some barbers. The saving grace for this rating is the owner, who genuinely tries to create a welcoming atmosphere and coaches the barbers when needed, though I imagine it must be exhausting while running the business. The shop does have some really great talent, but it's essential to trust your gut. If you sense unhappiness or a lack of confidence from a barber, don't hesitate to choose another one or even consider a different shop. After all, it's not worth sacrificing your hair's well-being for the sake of convenience. read more

One of the best barber shop in town the guys over there know what they doing also the environment is very clean and organized you won't be nervous at all when your getting your hair cut thank you prestige barber shop! read more

Came in for the first time. Dude with tattoos on his neck (didn't catch his name) took me. I tried explaining to the guy how I get my hair cut since this is my first time with him and he visibly got frustrated with my explanations, eventually cutting me off and saying "yeah yeah just chill, I got you". He ended up going against what I originally said. Went too high, still lined me up despite me saying not to. All the barbers here seem like they aren't the most model citizens if you catch my drift. This is the type of shop a g*ng member goes to. Do not recommend. read more

Amazing experience at prestige barbershop, highly recommend to visit Alex for a life changing haircut! Definitely became a regular here.

This review is long over due, returning customer here. When I come in I always go with Matt, I'm sure everyone here is fine but Matt did a stupid good job the first time I came around and you know, habits. But he gets me good every time I come in, to the point where I take both my kids in, one 15 the other 4. He's super patient and has convos with both of them, to the point where my 4 year old is excited to see "his barber Matt." Apparently they have just as good shop convos as he and I do. He's a good guy and def brings a good vibe to the chair when I come in. He's always on time, professional and takes a reasonable amount of time to cut mine and my kids hair and He communicates. I can say hes the best barber I've had so far. The barber shop itself is always clean, someone is always sweeping all the time. The ac is cool, the ambiance is tight the bathrooms are clean and the waiting area is pretty comfy. It all works for me read more

I was a first time costumer this past weekend, been trying to find a new barber for over a month now and found this one w decent reviews. Walked into barbers screaming at each other didn't get seated till almost 30 minutes into me getting there. The person they sent me to maybe have been new or what but he gave me the worst fade that took almost two hours. I waited half an hour to get seated and two hours for a haircut ??? For $65??!!! Walked in today to get my haircut, Prestige was one of my choice places to do so as I consider the people who work there artists and hands down amazing. But today I walked in at 12:50pm and though there hours posted were supposed to be at 2:30 and three people were on premises I got turned away with the statement "we are just about closed" That is just BAD business and would have expected better. read more

Came in for a cut and was very disappointed all the guys working were really rude. I asked for a low fade and literally got something completely different. The barber was not being friendly and was trying to rush me out. This place used to be good but there's some barbers that I think used to work here that were not here anymore last time I went. There's so many better options most of the guys are very unfriendly and don't give you what you ask. Also hair everywhere I stepped, super unclean as well I couldn't believe it, might be the worst cut I've ever gotten. read more
