Lets be honest- literally no one likes getting a pap. When I moved to Houston I found the CWCC recommendations on Reddit and decided to give them a go. I scheduled the appointment, showed up 20 minutes early to fill out the intake paperwork and had my preliminary vitals done within the first 5 minutes of being called back. My CMA told me to stay dressed because Dr. Astiazaran wanted her patients to be comfortable before the nitty gritty. Dr. A was kind, asked me if I had any concerns and gave me plenty of time to get ready for the worst part. No cold metal duck bills, no weirdness, and as far as everything else goes she was great at communicating and making me feel like my health and comfortability was the most important part of being there. I'd recommend her to anyone who has bad experiences and wants to put their health first. She was everything I would want in a medical professional. read more

I have not had a bad experience once in the office. However, actually getting someone on the phone to make an appointment is nearly impossible. This has happened multiple time, but this is probably the 4th time I've been on hold for an appointment for nearly an hour. I normally get very bad anxiety going to any kind of doctor or dentist, but this was actually a very nice experience for me! I came here for my first Annual Women's Wellness exam and my doctor, Christina, was very kind and told me how an annual exam works and walked me through every step. This made my experience comfortable and I'm a lot more comfortable with the thought of starting an annual Pap smear next year. I also want to note that I was very nervous at the thought of having a speculum anywhere near me, but it was not as bad as I thought. The speculum was small and plastic rather than large and metal like I assumed it would be. Dr. Christina also showed me what they use to administer Pap smears, which helped me feel much more comfortable with the procedure. read more

Just hopping on to share my positive experience for over 10 years of CWCC. Throughout routine annual exams, pregnancies and some complications along the way, I've been met with care, compassion, and support. My doctor is Dr. Beard and Yasmeen however, have delivered/ had exams with many others and each have held to the same high standard. The receptionist team has been professional and the nurse team responsive. The wait times have varied throughout the years, but are within range of other doc offices (pediatrician, specialists, etc). read more

Dr Steele was my obgyn for my first and only pregnancy. I ended up losing the baby at 6 months (25wks) of pregnancy. Dr Steele lacked thoroughness and was callous about serious issues that came up during the pregnancy which I strongly believed caused me to lose my baby l. For instance, After my 20 wk ultra sound, she called to let me know my umbilical cord was marginally attached (by the way it was perfectly fine at the previous ultra sound, which should have been a red flag to her). On the phone, she said the marginal attachment was normal and it just meant the delivery will be done a certain way; she didn't tell me to come in for more follow up ultrasounds, she did not even tell me the risk of such umbilical cord attachment. I kept asking her if everything was fine and she seemed confident it wasn't a big deal. I trusted her and was relying on her for her expertise. The weekend of the stillbirth at Texas Women's hospital, the on-call obgyn, ultra sound tech, radiologist, the obgyn that handled the delivery, and the first nurse that took care of me, were shocked I was not told to come in for more frequent ultra sounds after Dr Steel found out about the marginal umbilical cord attachment. Turns out this kind of attachment could lead to placenta detachment and other placental problems that could cause still births. I ended up with a still birth at 25 weeks of pregnancy. So far the biopsies and autopsy have found nothing wrong with my baby. The placenta biopsy noted the marginal umbilical attachment. There were also a couple other issues that came up that she treated in a similar manner. They're too lengthy and personal to detail here. I honestly blame myself for not going with my gut instinct to seek a second opinion after my first appt with Dr Steele. I complained about her nonchalance to my mom after every appointment and felt it was an inconvenience to see different obgyn appt, given my work schedule. I cry whenever I think about this and can't help but blame myself for not advocating for my baby. Now my beautiful girl is dead!!! I had to deliver a dead child after 6 months of pregnancy. I honestly dread ever meeting this woman. The least she could do was refer me to the appropriate physician/specialist/colleague if she had no clue what to do with the information she had at hand. I thought I would never say I LOVE COMING TO THE DOCTOR lol. I'm one of Dr. Mason's patients and she's the cutest and sweetest! Dr. Mason moved from the Pearland location to the Tanglewild location. I was sad because the Pearland location was extremely convenient to me but because Dr. Mason is so awesome, I decided to follow her ! She's very professional and establishes rapport with you that ends up making you feel comfortable! I absolutely would recommend Dr. Mason as a OBGY doctor!! This location is extremely clean and relaxing! The couches are soft and plush. The receptionists are very polite from beginning to end. It's just a pleasant environment to be in when having your business. read more

Today was my first initial visit with Dr. Steele. She far exceeded all expectations that I had prior to my first visit. Tiffany (her nurse ) was highly professional and very involved. -Review about BC annual visit not pregnancy- I will try to write out my full experience the best I can. I see all these lengthy negative reviews and I do want to input my great experience! I got in at 11:30 15 minutes early to fill out my paperwork. The lobby was super inviting they have nice pictures all on the walls. The front desk ladies were so inviting and nice! The place is totally woman empowering vibe and they were playing TLC. I was seen a little bit before noon when my appointment was at 11:45. The doctor I saw was "Dr.A" and Lorreena who walked me in and out was super nice! I came in for two different concerns. 1.preventing pregnancy 2.PMS mood swings/hormone imbalance. Dr.A was pretty nice and let me explain my medical history. My appointment felt a little rushed and I wanted to make sure I had everything taken care of for the year because I'm stopping my insurance. I felt confident that she helped me choose the right options for me. Dr.A was nice and I felt comfortable with her. However, I felt like when I left I didn't get a good explanation of "how" or "why" the birth control would help with premenstrual moods. When I called the nurse I got a voicemail every time and missed their call backs. They have an email nurse@cwcchouston which was awesome! They connect with me through email (which I respond the fastest through email so I get it). When I did get on the phone with a nurse. I believe her name was "Nancy". She was the MOST HELPFUL AND SWEETEST person, ever. She answered all of my questions in full detail. Explained how I should take the BC a little different if I wanted different results. I love how quickly they responded to me through email. They rewrote my prescription so I can get the most out of my insurance before it ended. Nancy and her team were very helpful in following up with me and making sure all my questions were answered. I can't speak for pregnancies. I would highly recommend for well women exams and BC prescriptions. read more

I would scream across HOUSTON and tell every woman not to waste time on CCWC. Dr Lisa beard is my OBGYN and she met me just once in 14 weeks of pregnancy only to tell me that she performs C section only on MONDAY. She is so busy that she has no time for her own patients. SO if u are in labour any other day apart Monday HER HIGHNESS will not perform the procedure. ANY random doctor from CWCC who u don't know will.! shame!!! I drive one hour to meet her and all she gives me is a hurried approach and keeps asking anything else ? anything else? rather than counselling me.Worst of all she sits 7 minutes by clock after 45 minutes of wait time. This is the worst clinic ever. DO NOT GO BY their 375 REVIEWS.It's FAKE MARKETING SKILL.DONT GO BY THEIR FANCY OFFICE. Truth be told you live or die they don't care. I came here for my first pregnancy with my daughter. I chose this place because I loved it was a women's only team. When I first got there, everyone was sweet and kind. Filled out paperwork and etc. Throughout my whole pregnancy, they took very good care of me. Any issues I could just easily email someone there or call. FYI this is a detailed review. This is beautiful office and everyone is friendly. The flow of care through the office is very convenient and efficient. Dr. Mason does not spend much one on one time with you. I didn't not really feel a connection with her because I'd only seen her twice. Every time I did see her it was very short and I never received direct care or an exam from her. I saw the Nurse Practitioner more often as well as other supportive healthcare professionals. I did not mind that, but they are not delivering my child. Dr. Mason would have been. Documentation on your medical records are fairly poor. The wrong due date on my very first visit was written in my chart, but quickly caught i have to add. Then I received two different due dates after that. Regardless of that, I know the documentation in total is not very thorough because my new physician and I reviewed my medical records together and I had to do some explaining about things that were vague or missing. I ended up transferring my care to a physician with affiliation to Texas Children's Hospital instead and I definitely notice that my new physician spends a lot of time with me herself and examines me and my baby herself every visit in opposition to Dr. Mason. That does not mean that one doctor is better than the other as far as care. Dr. Mason didn't spend enough time with me and did not build a rapport with me. That factor does not seem as important at Complete Women's Care Center. Too many hands are in the pot mainly. The OB coordinator/financial advisor is the least personable of the office and does not return calls or emails. So if you have questions in reference to your bills etc. then that can be very frustrating. Again the supportive staff does a great job at making up for where direct contact or communication is lost. You will go through nice middle men here with nice smiles. I battled between giving 3 or 4 stars. I gave 3 based on the lack of time spent with the physician who is supposed to be delivering your baby at the end of the day and poor documentation skills. Both which are very important to me. If timeliness, convenience of having everything in one office (ultrasound and lab work) and efficiency of the overall office flow and appearance is more important then 4 stars at best is what this office would get. read more

There is something so humbling about having great expectations and getting crushed. It makes you realize that no matter how much research you put into something beforehand, you can absolutely still get it wrong in ways you could have never foreseen. I wrestled with leaving this review for months because I was so conflicted but finally decided that in the spirit of public service and in the event that businesses actually read their reviews, it was more important for me to prevent something potentially very serious from happening to some unluckier person than to share a little medical information publicly. So here goes! I visited CWCC as a brand new patient coming in for a routine annual exam. My wait to see the doctor was reasonable, the receptionist staff was cordial and efficient, and the waiting area was comfortable. My appointment was with Dr. Mason and I didn't have to wait too long at all in her office before she arrived. She asked me all of the appropriate questions regarding my health and history - she seemed personable and engaged. Gynecologically- speaking the most significant information from me is that I have a child and was breastfeeding. Pretty routine stuff. We did all the typical procedures and she suggested that this was a good time to establish a baseline breast mammogram. Scary yes, but awesome that she was doing her job and keeping me honest I thought! I get my referral for the mammogram and make the appointment. The wait was really long because it turned out that my referral paperwork was wrong. Dr. Mason had provided a diagnostic code on my paperwork, indicating I was there because of an issue that needed further testing, versus just a routine screening. You can imagine the insurance and other implications of this mistake. It wasn't the biggest deal, but it struck me that mammogram screenings are pretty routine so why was CWCC making these kind of mistakes? My confidence was a little shaken and so fleetingly it occurred to me that the most significant thing my boobs had ever done was breastfeed and that no where on the forms I had filled out at the screening facility had I been asked about that even though I had mentioned it to Dr. Mason. On a whim, I mentioned it to the receptionist while I was still waiting to get my corrected referral paperwork sent over from CWCC and she looked at me like she was slightly startled and told me that she was pretty sure I wasn't going to be able to get the screening because I was breastfeeding which meant that my breast tissue was not in a static enough state to establish an accurate baseline mammogram. She confirmed with the techs on staff and I couldn't believe it!!!! I was so pissed at having rearranged my entire work schedule and waiting so long for nothing. I was also really shaken up by the fact that you blindly trust doctors and these medical facilities and that no one is really paying attention. As much as Dr. Mason should've known what the receptionist told me, I was also surprised that this facility did not ask on their intake forms since it was such a showstopper. I called CWCC to politely but firmly explain the mistakes made to understand what went wrong and hope no one else would have to experience the same ordeal. I was blown away when instead of receiving an apology from Dr.Mason , I was told that instead of a mammogram they recommend I go get an alternative which I believe they referred to as a breast density scan just so I have something. When I questioned this information since it would seem that breastfeeding would also make this test inaccurate as well, the nurse put me on hold only to comeback and agree with me. Wow!!!!!! Honestly, too many mistakes were made in my first and only visit for me to have any confidence in the care I would receive. Some doctors may be better than others but it's hard to believe that one could perform so poorly and truly be an anomaly. If something as simple as when and how to refer someone to get a mammogram is completely bungled, I couldn't imagine receiving obstetric care or EVER scheduling to have surgery with this practice. read more

I can't speak to any of the pregnancy reviews- I came here for birth control help. The office is really clean, every one has been nice, parking free in garage. Expect a wait in the exam room. And I've had to come in three times to solve an issue so my copays are adding up. Dr. Hardy is really nice and felt genuine in her concerns. Edited: I've ran into a lot of issues with the BCs I've been put on. Every time I call the nurse messaging machine I NEVER get a call back, until I call more times saying no one called me back. Doctor was wonderful but staff never followed up in the most critical times. No appointments were ever available and when I was told they would follow up to see if there was an opening they never called, just booked the appointment without consent. When I was told I'd meet with the doctor before she works on me, I was a little shocked. Most places don't do that! It was nice to know who was my doctor and the fact that they try to make you comfortable BEFORE seeing ALL of you. Everyone in the staff from the front receptionist, Dr. Paulina, the doctor's assistant Courtney and the blood work assistant, were all so nice!! The office is clean and has great music. The visit was at 7:30 and I was out by 8:10. very quick and easy. Will recommend this center to all my girl-friends!! read more

I've been here twice already. Each time it has been welcoming and the service is just phenomenal. They're very kind and willing to work with you. They're just an email away as soon as you become a regular patient. The waiting room is wonderfully decorated and everyone is just in a positive mood. I see Dr. Aztirizia she's amazing as well. She has an amazing attitude and takes her time with you. You don't feel rushed around her and they have a rule that it shouldn't take more than 15 minutes for them to assist you. read more

A traumatic experience this year as I delivered my 2nd baby. Despite weekly ultrasounds (due to high fluid), I was neither given a proper diagnosis to expect a big baby nor advised caesarian. I was told to expect a 6.5/ 7 lb baby even a week before delivery and I delivered 9 lb 14 oz baby after 20 hours of labour! Baby's shoulder was stuck during delivery and so his collarbone had to be fractured to deliver him. With shoulder dystocia, my baby was in NICU for 2 weeks. I had a large 3rd degree laceration (pushing me into months of recovery). I was told AFTER delivery that I was having gestational diabetes! Dr Hardy who was my OBGYN hardly saw us 2/3 times in my whole pregnancy and it was Kirsten Emanuel the nurse who completley supervised my appointments. We pointedly asked her many times about my previous gestational diabetes experience (during 1st delivery) and if that would have any impact on this delivery. My husband and I specifically asked if we are having a big baby as I have been having discomfort walking and was tired all the time. All answers were emphetic NO. Obviously some didn't do their job properly and my baby and I ended in the traumatic experience. When I asked the same questions post my delivery to one of the attending docs Dr Sillas, she literally was screaming us down! The only bright spot and empathetic soul in this whole experience has been Dr Ohlemacher who delivered the baby and helped me with recovery. read more

The negative reviews are spot-on. I wish that I had read them before making a decision on our OB. The primary medical consultation throughout your pregnancy will be handled by the nurses and to their credit the nurses at this clinic are very professional. We saw Dr. Shannon Hardy only a handful of times and did not see her a single time after the delivery. Dr. Hardy did deliver our baby but it was only because the labor happened to overlap with her shift. Even the postpartum check-up was handled by the nurse. I give an extra star because the staff is organized and on-time. They are quick to return your phone calls. As stated above, the nurses are very professional as well. But I cannot recommend a clinic where the doctors do not routinely spend time with their OB patients. I would strongly recommend finding another OB at another clinic and pay attention to how often you get face time with your doctor. read more

They also changed my visit type from one to the other so that they could charge me for the visit instead of having it covered by my insurance. First came here to get Implanon taken out of my arm By Dr. Hardy. She's amazing. She's been my OB/Gyn for over 5 years. I have seen a few other DRs there when I couldn't see Dr.Hardy. They are all educated and professional women. Dr.Beard delivered my son and she was an amazing coach when it came to pushing and all that fun stuff. I came here for a depo consultation and my women's check up. I hadn't ever had a Pap smear and dr. Steele made me feel comfortable and I had no discomfort the whole process was very quick. The only thing that was weird to me was that there was pictures of baby's EVERYWHERE lol ... I waited for a year to write my review to ensure that my vision is not clouded by what happened during my delivery. First of all, the facility is impeccable, great bedside manners, knowledgeable Nurses. In fact, the process of my whole delivery was overseen by Nurses with the very rare sightings of Dr. Buyers beware because the standard of care in this practice reduces the OB's time to 9:5pm with coverage from various doctors. In fact, my entire delivery, my doctor was completely absent. I selected this hospital for Dr. Hardy but never saw here during delivery, after delivery, and several months after delivery I had an appointment scheduled with her as routine but was told it will continue to be with a Nurse. This never made sense...you choose a hospital for a doctor but then you end up being treated by only Nurses. In addition, this CWCC released my information to sources who to this day are hounding me and my little baby. This was very disappointing. read more

When I found out I was pregnant we went on a search for the best OBGYN to deliver our baby. This place is everything you could want and more. The facility is beautiful and warm and kind inside. All the staff is always smiling and friendly. Dr. Hardy was my primary doctor and Kirsten also helped us in our baby journey. Dr. Hardy was great! I had to have an emergency c-section and she came in like a ninja. It was all so fast and she made me feel at ease the entire time. My scar is so tiny you can barely see it. If you are expecting so have to go to this place! And if you can't get Dr. Hardy, then still go! Everyone there was great! Extremely frustrated. I waited 6 weeks to hear back on the status of my birth control only to find out they hadn't even ordered it like they said they would. It's completely unacceptable, I'm about to get married, and now if it even comes in on time, there will be bruising on my arm come wedding day from inserting it. I had timed it out to work perfectly with this timing, and to call and find out they literally hadn't even ordered it, is completely unacceptable. How did they go from telling me this is the best birth control for you, we will order it and have it for you in 5 weeks, and six weeks later they literally have done nothing, as if my file just got put away and that was it. They are booked towards the end of the year so it took about 1 month to get me in for an appointment so make sure you call ahead of time! The staff was wonderful and patient. I have been seen nurse practitioner Brandi and Dr. Brigger for over 4 years now and every visit has been a total pleasant with them. All the other Doctors are also super nice. Even though Dr Brigger is my main Dr, she wasn't able to deliver my two sons, one because she was pregnant herself and the other time because she was off duty. Yes, when you deliver at The Women Hospital of Texas and your Dr is from Complete Women's Health Care, the Dr that is on duty when you deliver may or may not be your delivering Dr. But this is totally fine because they are ALL great! I was delivered by Dr. Kelly and Dr. Beard. They are both awesome! I love this place and I highly recommend it. They are knowledgeable and they take their time listening to your concerns. This was my first initial visit to Complete Women's Care Center. The process of arranging the appointment was easy and the staff there were very efficient with the paperwork and processing my documents. I was first seen by the nurse Brenda who was very friendly asking me questions about my medical history before seeing the doctor. I had a very traumatic experience at another OBGYN office years ago which made me hesitant to go to another OBGYN for a pap smear as I never had one done before. Dr. Hardy was not only so patient and informative, she walked me through the process and explained what she was doing each step of the way. She made me feel comfortable even though it was an uncomfortable procedure. It was not as bad as I thought it would be. I went to see Dr Beard for the first time the other day. I really liked her and the staff. I was emotional from life things going on. Her staff was so kind to me. A nurse named Tiffany gave me a big hug and kept checking on me. I felt at ease right away. They saw me on time, the office was clean and welcoming. Check in and check out were a breeze. I went to this clinic for bc Nexplanon. I went on a Thursday and was told we should hear something from insurance and office will call next week. I called back once i had not heard anything in a week. I was told they where still pending insurance approval. I followed up the following week to be told the same thing. I finally asked if this was normal? Yes it takes 3 weeks and its best if your on your cycle. So according to this information it would be over a month. I gave up and went to planned parenthood. I recieved bc/Nexplanon that same day. About 2 weeks later i finally recieved a call that my bc was denied and I would need to pay $700-$900 if i wanted the bc. I informed rep it was fine a had already went to planned parenthood and recieved bc. It might be best they explain what their process really is. I was told by Dr Hardy that i would receive a call the following week that call took a whole month! According to rep Dr Hardy is awear of process maybe i misunderstood. I also asked curoius why it was denied I was told because its a "speciality pharmacy" Not sure what that means. I was not orginally thinking planned parenthood would be best place to go but it was a really good decision in the end ... read more
