Dr. Fogiel and her staff are absolutely phenomenal! I don't have children and let's be real here - NO ONE loves going to get their yearly Women's wellness exams but Dr. Fogiel is very warm, welcoming, thorough and comforting during these not-so-fun appointments. I've been a patient for a few years now and I can't thank her and her team (especially Karen) enough for all of their work and the kindness that is constantly spread through their office. They truly care about their patients which I have seen expressed by them time and time again. If you're looking for a new OBGYN (or if you're new to town and need one), I HIGHLY recommend you make an appointment at Advanced OBGYN! FAST appointment times. Many OBGyns have great doctors but horrible staff. The staff here is fast and courteous and always follows up with calls. I appreciate seeing a doctor with every visit (not just NP), which is far and few in between these days. Unfortunately Dr. Lane has left the practice and the only remaining OB doc is too overbooked. I went to Advanced OBGYN to have a cool sculpting procedure done on my stomach. I paid around $1200, and to my disappointment had no results. I was told that the procedure would work and that no one before has ever had a poor outcome. This procedure did absolutely nothing for me and made my stomach look bloated. I asked for a refund or another treatment for free and was denied both. Dr Fogiel was only willing to give me another treatment at cost. She wasn't willing to try and make things right with me. I wasted my money and time. Never again! read more

DO NOT GO HERE. Dr. Lane herself is a great doctor. I felt very comfortable and was taken good care of. However, the office staff is impolite and incompetent. My blood work got sent under another patients name and I had to go back and miss work to re-do my blood work. When I called to schedule the woman was very rude. When I got my EOB from my insurance, I saw I had been billed for 2 office visits, when I've only been there for ONE annual women's exam. The insurance said someone had billed them about 5 times and kept erasing and billing again. So the insurance is not paying for "second office visit" I got billed for. I tried to call the office and nobody answers or will run my calls. When they do answer, they're rude and not very helpful. Will not be returning or ever recommend this office to anyone. read more

Do not go here. I had the most horrible experience. I was early on in my pregnancy and started bleeding. I was told there was no one available to perform an ultrasound by the office staff and was not able to get an appointment until the next day. I was pretty certain I was miscarrying. The next day Dr. Fogiel performed an ultra sound and did not see the baby. She said they needed to do blood work to confirm, so I did the blood work and returned to the office the following day for final results. I was told by the office staff/or the nurse that did the blood draw that my results were "too low". This was explained to me while I sat on a bench in the public hallway with zero privacy. I had no idea what that meant but I was pretty sure this was confirmation of a miscarriage. I was truly stunned by the the lack of care and the most heartless bedside manner I have ever experienced. I asked to speak to the doctor to understand more but was again told by the staff I needed an appointment, and I was only scheduled for a tech appointment that day. My husband told them we were not leaving until we were able to see the Doctor. Finally, I was able to get clarification and confirmed we were miscarrying by Dr. Fogiel. It was truly a terrible experience especially while in a very vulnerable state. I think Dr. Fogiel means well but you'd never know because the staff is so incompetent and unprofessional. We explained this so hopefully they can make some adjustments and can improve their bedside manner. It's been over a year and I am still traumatized by this experience. The receptionist wanted me to sign a paper acknowledging that there would be an additional charge to talk to the doctor about getting on both control pills during my well woman exam because that would be considered a consult. I will start by saying I have never felt passionate enough about a doctor or business to write a review that may defame them based on my experience. I am personally in the medical field and over the course of a year I was exploited by this office again and again. I was an established patient with Dr. Lane, having had two mediocre Well Woman exams prior to experiencing hormonal issues. I knew it was hormonal based on my symptoms and when I went in for a visit she conducted multiple lab tests after I declined. I went in again after she falsified a diagnose and prescribed antibiotics that left all of my complaints unresolved. I went in for two more visits after this before being notified by my insurance of the multiple lab tests she ran each visit which I denied each and every time. Additionally, the hormonal imbalance continued to affect me on a daily basis until I went in and demanded she remove my Nexplanon implant which I determined was the problem after months of misery and countless questions specifically regarding side effects of the implant. I immediately had complete relief from all symptoms, with literally no help from the staff or Dr. Lane. I spent countless hours with my insurance sorting out claims incorrectly filed by her office which would have left me with thousands in medical bills, how convenient it would have been for her to profit off my pain if I did not have a medical background or understanding of health insurance. read more

Earlier this year we finally received our deposit back. But this took several phone calls and letters which seemed totally unnecessary. We imagine the problem lies with office staff and office management. We hope this practice addresses those issues so others don't experience the issues we did. I started this appointment with a lot of anger. The website doesn't explain how complex the building systems are in this area of town, and I spent a lot of time running around searching for how to find the building. they did not answer when I called to ask for specific directions. That being said, once i got there I was VERY pleased with the staff. Everyone was kind and when I finally met with Dr. Fogiel I was beyond impressed. For one, she sat and spent time explaining all the different types of medication I will need to take. She was so kind and caring even when I was uncomfortable and did everything with care and kindness. They were running a little late, but I didn't mind because their bedside manor was THAT GOOD. read more

I wish I could give this place 0 stars, I am completely baffled. I can't review Dr. Lane with exception to her unwillingness to see an 11:30 patient at 11:34. I made an appointment for first available with Dr. Lane 2 weeks prior to my appointment & on the day of the appointment typed the address into Waze & set a notification on when to leave. Turns out there is 915 S. Gessner AND a 915 Gessner - BOTH south of i10 & within about a mile of each other & I unknowingly followed the S Gessner direction which took me to just south of Memorial & Gessner. I called to ask where they are located & let them know what happened at 11:24 AM & was told that Dr. Lane could not see me because she scheduled a surgery and couldn't receive "late" patients. I asked the receptionist if they had a 5 min grace period b/c at that point I wasn't late & I was within a couple of minutes of being there - I was told yes, that they usually have a 15 min grace period for late appointments, just not today. I then asked about rescheduling and was put on hold for 20 minutes & only to be looped back to the main automated menu. I ended up leaving a voicemail & then tried to call back about 10 min later & so far they've not returned my call. I am guessing they've blown me off & I am totally mind-blown that this is how a doctors office handles new patients. I take responsibility for putting the wrong "915 Gessner" into Waze - however I do think they need to make it clear they have NO grace period on timing because to say it's usually 15 minutes except for the day of my appointment when my office is 30 minutes away is so frustrating. To then be placed on hold at 11:28 to reschedule my 11:30 appointment & be on hold for 20 minutes when they couldn't accept a patient that was literally 4 minutes get hung up & then not receive a call back to reschedule - all of it is maddening & such a waste of time, and honestly so frustrating because they clearly don't care & don't even attempt to show that they care. Based on the reviews here, it looks as though this is standard & i guess that means I will be finding another doctor. read more

Worst office management. My husband and I had an appointment for a month for our initial pregnancy visit at 8 weeks. We confirmed insurances and were so excited! That morning, pulling into the parking lot, the cold receptionist called to let us know that they decided to not carry our insurance as of recently. Devastated. A professional office would have informed up and coming appointments of the change. My insurance didn't even know yet. Just don't want anyone else to go through the let down we did due to incompetent office management. read more

My first initial visit was a great experience. However, my follow up visits and trying to get something scheduled was very disappointing. The front desk staff are rude and not accommodating at all. I work in an office environment, I know how difficult their job can be- but the front desk women show no phone professionalism. After I spoke with them, I immediately asked to speak with Dr. Tejml's nurse. Even though she gave me the same answer as the front desk, she at least acted like she was trying to help me and understand my frustrations and needs without any attitude. read more

Had my first appointment with Dr. Foigel today. She was so knowledgeable and spent time asking questions so she could provide the best care to me. The whole office was very professional and everything was streamlined with my visit with no unnecessary waiting either before I was called back or in exam room. The office and exam room were both immaculate. I am not usually pleased by most medical offices, but Dr Foigel and her staff were a delightful surprise in the way they provide a quality health care experience. read more

I have had a multitude of ob-gyns and have finally found a doctor that is a keeper. I delievered my son with Dr. Roberts and had a positive experience. First of all she listens to you. (2) She is very calm and soothing. When you're expecting a child this is soooo helpful. This was also great during my delivery. When the nurses at the hospital were telling me to push and I didn't want to, she gently told them to give me some time. (3) She didn't mind me having a doula. Most delivery doctors don't wait hours in your room waiting for you to deliver. They come at the very end. Having my doula with me that night helped me deliver my little one naturally. Some doctors don't like doula's but Dr. Roberts was cool with me having one. (4) She has gentle hands. Most of my procedures go by with very little pain and discomfort. Whenever she examined me I didn't feel pain like I did when the nurses examined me during delivery. Dr. Robert's a keeper! Dr. Fogel is also awesome. I had to meet with her instead of Dr. Robert's once and I would not have minded her helping me delivery my son. Kuddos ladies!! You both are great. The only drawback I see is that they only deliver with Memorial Hermann Memorial City. I will NOT deliver at that hospital again. I did not like the hospital nurses but that's not a reflection of how awesome Advanced ObGyn. Just to clarify IF I have another baby it will be delivered at a birthing center instead of a hopsital. I'll visit Advanced ObGyn and long as they let me. :-) read more

The doctors are fine it is the front desk staff. It took me a long time to find a parking spot which made me 10 minutes late and I was turned away. My husband and I have had a medical practice for 30 years and have never turned a patient away for being late. Doctors are always late how can a practice punish a patient for being late?! read more

I LOVE Advanced OB! I've been a patient of Dr. Fogiel's since 2010 and have had nothing but a positive experience. She is incredibly professional and knowledgeable. Dr. Fogiel was awesome throughout my recent pregnancy, especially when it became high risk. I had to visit the clinic twice a week, and she bent over backwards to fit my appointments in. Toward the end of my pregnancy, Dr. Fogiel even periodically called me to check in on my status. Not only was she present for my entire delivery, but she actively coached me through the process. Her calm demeanor put any anxiety I had at ease. During my pregnancy, I saw the other doctors a few times too and they were both great! The staff and nurses at Advanced OB are courteous and helpful. At one of my pregnancy checkups, I was struggling to walk due to nerve pain. After the appointment, a receptionist promptly got a wheelchair and pushed me to my car in the parking garage. Across the board, everyone goes above and beyond to deliver exceptional patient care! The clinic is well organized and utilizes an online patient portal system, which is extremely efficient for receiving lab results and appointment reminders. The office environment is clean and low key, which I appreciate. There is a small child friendly area in the waiting room for older children. Overall, I highly recommend Advanced OB! I've referred a few family members and friends, and everyone has been very satisfied. Bottom line: I will continue to see Dr. Fogiel for as long as I live in Houston! read more

I was bit worried coming here due to all of the bad reviews, but my experience over all was great! Reason why I ended up here in the first place was bc i literally set an appointment online last night at 8pm, which was hassle free and very convenient ! The reception actually called this morning and asked if I could reschedule my appt to an hour later from what I had requested which I appreciated other than them canceling my appt or making me wait for over an hr. Came in did paperwork (which took about 25 min so if you can, do it at home before hand ) and right away I was with Dr. lane. You can tell that she cares about her clients, if I decide to go back it definitely would be with Dr. Lane again ! Overall I spend about one hour and a half during my entire visit, and this is including me being a first time patient . read more

Went twice, the first time I went in they couldn't find one of my records at first. After hearing my story, looking at the records I was advised to have a biopsy. Second time I came in, again my records weren't complete, which is odd in my opinion. They found it after I had to mention this happened the first time I came in as well. It seems their administration has some flaws. Still they wanted to start the procedure although I was pretty stressed out by that time. We decided to postpone it but I never went back in again. The whole experience had left me with little trust in them handling their cases with care and not being just another number. Therefore I would not recommend to visit them. read more

Dr lane was my doctor, I really liked her. She has seen me thru my pregnancy. She is very sweet and really cares about each patient. She takes her time with you to answer all questions. The office does not take Medicaid and that is the only reason I am having to leave bc my financial situation has changed otherwise I would love to get to stay with doctor lane. She's just sweet, soft spoken and pleasant. I really like her and will miss her I hope my new doctor will be as good as her. Also the front desk is nice and they care about you. When I had to do my glucose test they made sure I came in the morning so I wouldn't starve all day. The blood work lady ( sorry don't remember her name) but I like her too, she is friendly and good at taking blood bc I hate getting mine done. And they are good with getting you in and out at a timely matter. While you wait in the waiting room they always had hgtv on which I LOVE so I didn't mind waiting anyways out there lol. I also saw dr fogiel while dr lane went on maternity leave and she is very knowledgeable as well and very easy to talk to. I would recommend this place. My wife uses Dr. Roberts. While she is in-network for our insurance, she sent my wife's labs off to an out of network lab processor and we received a bill for the cost of the labs. We received no notification that the lab processor is out of network and that we would have to pay for the bill. read more

This was the most HORRIBLE and UNPROFESSIONAL place i've ever been too in my whole life. They were unbelievably rude. They treat you like you're not even a person and they are all better than you. They judge you by appearance. They over charge you and don't do any services. I went in for ovulation problems just to be put thru pointless test and then told they wouldn't help me . they ignored my phone calls. they never would explain my test results. and said my problems are all because i'm a little overweight. I am now doing to Dr. Smith and have never been happier. I showed him the test this place put me thru and he laughed and told me that they wasted my time and money pretty much. I have never felt so betrayed my people who called themselves medical professionals. I recommend this place to be shut down! i hope they do! I would never in my life recommend this place to anyone in my life! They should be ashamed. read more
