They have some of the best service I have ever received when it comes to bicycles. I have personally bought my own bike here 3 years ago, and it's still going strong. They really took the time to assess what was important to me in a bike and made suggestions around that. They seriously have about 60+ bikes for adults in the showroom along with another 20+ for kids as well as one of the most complete parts/accessories selection around. You're a skater you say? No worries. They have you covered as well. Boards, wheels, bearings, tattoos, meth...Hey you kids! Stay of my grass! Damn kids, with their hip and their hop! Okay, so I have no clue what boarders like or need, but they have a nice selection of things that one could ask for....I tried to be like Tony Hawk and do a 920 McTwist, but wouldn't you know McDonald's doesn't serve anything like that. I think Avril Lavigne was there last time but that's unconfirmed :) I have twice been here in the past 3 months getting tires fixed (flats) that cost me less than $12 (including labor) each to fix. - That's fantastic! They are quick to greet you, take your bike, and get it fixed all while you are waiting. The owner, Al, has been there every time I have been in there which says a lot to me as far as being hands on. I have found him extremely kind, funny and genuine. The bad? Really nothing. I can say that the other employees are young (late teens - early 20's) and aren't very polished with customer service skills/interactions so it seems that they are very awkward speaking to people. The prices for the bikes (not accessories) are higher than your average Target or Trash-mart (Walmart) but the lifetime tuneups and service well make up for it. Plus, I'm a huge small business supporter. Do yourself a favor, next time you are in the market for a new bike or board, need service or just have questions, take a trip to Al's Quick Release - it's well worth the trip. Now, if you don't mind, I need to squeeze into these bicycle shorts (illegal in 35 countries), and go meet Lance Armstrong...

I discovered it in 2017 as I drove by on the freeway and saw the massive summertime tent sale going on in the parking lot. I was skeptical, at first, about how good the "deals" might be, but boy was I wrong. They had GREAT, high quality collegiate and professional sports gear at unbelievable prices! This year marks the third year that I have stopped in to beef up my family's UofM and Red Wings swag. On this visit I scored an awesome Michigan 1/4 zip heavy weight sweat shirt for just $15 (that's 77% off the $65 MSRP), and a great Red Wings hat, some socks for my girls, and a few vinyl decals (receipt included in pics so you can judge the deals for yourselves). I just can't fully tell you how great the deals are at the Campus Den's annual summertime tent sale--you have to experience them for yourselves, so stop in and give it a look. If you have a favorite sports team in Michigan, you will NOT be disappointed! You need not be an avid cyclist to shop here, though, as the staff makes up for it. Every member of the shop's staff that I have met throughout the years has the utmost care and concern for you and your bike, even if you bought your Huffy at Meijer's. Not many shops in Michigan can say that. I unfortunately worked for some. If by some astronomical chance you are not Karen and something goes wrong, the staff will happily work with you to make it right. There are not many good cycling shops in East Michigan, but this shop is one of the best, if not the best. They say you get what you pay for, but here you get more.

Really love the Backstage section of our local Macy's…read more... I know not every Macy's has a Backstage section, so we're particularly happy our local one has it. My husband and I shop in Macy's a lot, and we've been shopping quite a bit lately in this particular corner of the store. It has everything from clothing (men's, women's, babies and kid's), perfume, jewelry and handbags to kid's toys, decor, candy, cosmetics, skincare, men's grooming, luggage, housewares and phone accessories and giftware.. and the prices are great. I like that the same store return policy and credit, Macy's points and star rewards still work (as they do in the regular Macy's.. The selection is great/ and clearance prices are crazy. I picked up some Aldo shoes for next to nothing and my husband and I picked up new Karl Lagerfeld luggage here this past spring that was cute and low priced..they also sell Kate Spade, Michael Kors, Marc Jacobs and Karl Lagerfeld handbags on occasion.... I just stopped in and did a lot of early Christmas shopping here. It was quick and simple- good selection. low prices, and terrific service.

Smokers Palace (SP) is the nicest, most complete RYO/smoking store I've ever had the pleasure of…read moreshopping in (and since taking on my new RYO hobby, I've been to a ton of 'em)! BAR NONE. If there's a place out there with more selection, better prices and more competent, friendly staff, I have yet to find it and doubt I ever will. If you're a smoker, this place is a DESTINATION, to be sure! For starters, the store is IMMACULATE. The shelves/displays are always stocked full not because stock isn't selling, but because the staff are constantly restocking! Speaking of staff, they are beyond friendly and knowledgeable. You are always warmly greeted when entering the store - they are HAPPY you're there and very proud of their store! As far as RYO selection (my primary reason for visiting), SP has the biggest and best selection of tobacco, tubes and supplies, second only to the best online stores. When you figure shipping costs into online shopping, SP is highly competitive and has the advantage of the customer knowing they're buying fresh, properly hydrated tobacco and not low-turnover stuff that's been sitting in a crappy environment drying out. (As a highly respected online store says, "Squeeze the bag; If it sounds like potato chips, don't buy it because it's all dried out.") You also don't have to worry that your tubes will arrive crushed and beaten up! The tobacco I've purchased from SP has always been nice and fresh/hydrated and the tubes in pristine condition! In addition to the major RYO "Pipe Tobacco" brands (OHM, Privateer, Kentucky Select, Gambler, etc), they also carry a nice selection of "Cigarette Tobacco" such as Drum, American Spirit, Bugler and Peter Stokkebye. Their selection of tubes is unbelievable! SP also carries a HUGE selection of "standard fare", manufactured cigarettes, many of which are "off-brand". For cigar smokers, a large humidor room boasts top names such as Macanudo, H. Upmann, My Father, Montecristo, CAO and many more. SP also has a section for Pipe smokers which includes large jars of by-the-ounce tobaccos as well as the "standard" offerings like Captain Black, Half & Half and Prince Albert as well as a good selection of supplies and a few pipes. A large chunk of the square footage, as with a lot of smoke shops these days, is dedicated to vape juices/vaping supplies and cannabis smoking paraphernalia. As these areas are located away from my areas of interest, I can't speak to their impressiveness (or the lack thereof), only to say that they have a LOT of glass offerings that are nicely presented. With pristine surroundings, a relaxed vibe, and a HUGE number of offerings, SP is THE place for smokers (the dregs of society) to comfortably shop for all things smoking! If visiting for the first time, give yourself a good block of time to enjoy looking around - the employees won't mind a bit!
