I know what you're thinking. Al's Quick Release...Hey, isn't this Travolta's favorite massage parlor? No Silly, but it is a fabulous hidden gem in downtown Davison. They have some of the best service I have ever received when it comes to bicycles. I have personally bought my own bike here 3 years ago, and it's still going strong. They really took the time to assess what was important to me in a bike and made suggestions around that. They seriously have about 60+ bikes for adults in the showroom along with another 20+ for kids as well as one of the most complete parts/accessories selection around. You're a skater you say? No worries. They have you covered as well. Boards, wheels, bearings, tattoos, meth...Hey you kids! Stay of my grass! Damn kids, with their hip and their hop! Okay, so I have no clue what boarders like or need, but they have a nice selection of things that one could ask for....I tried to be like Tony Hawk and do a 920 McTwist, but wouldn't you know McDonald's doesn't serve anything like that. I think Avril Lavigne was there last time but that's unconfirmed :) I have twice been here in the past 3 months getting tires fixed (flats) that cost me less than $12 (including labor) each to fix. - That's fantastic! They are quick to greet you, take your bike, and get it fixed all while you are waiting. The owner, Al, has been there every time I have been in there which says a lot to me as far as being hands on. I have found him extremely kind, funny and genuine. The bad? Really nothing. I can say that the other employees are young (late teens - early 20's) and aren't very polished with customer service skills/interactions so it seems that they are very awkward speaking to people. The prices for the bikes (not accessories) are higher than your average Target or Trash-mart (Walmart) but the lifetime tuneups and service well make up for it. Plus, I'm a huge small business supporter. Do yourself a favor, next time you are in the market for a new bike or board, need service or just have questions, take a trip to Al's Quick Release - it's well worth the trip. I purchased a GT Tachyon 3.0 from here in 2012. When I came in to get repair's that got done the next day I shifted to the easiest gear that's the closest to the spokesl my derailleur actually went into the spokes because the kid that worked on my bike there tampered with the derailleur adjustment to cause this to happen. After that I decide to take the repair's on myself. I would not recommend taking your bicycle here for repair's because of this. If you don't have knowledge on bicycles it would be best to get a second opinion from a different bicycle shop. I would use Al's bike shop for a free display and trying the bicycle since you can purchase that same bike online for a much cheaper price. So what this business throws in a 1 year free maintenance, but do you really want people working on your bike that would probably do the same thing that happened to my bike. read more

I went into this store just to look around and walked out with a great bike and all accessories!! Al, himself, waited on me and answered every question I had...and there was alot!!! My sister and I went to buy tricycles for adults, went to Dunhams sears Walmart And a few other places. No one would even talk to us about adult tricycle's. Was ready to give up and we saw Al's Quick release online. So glad we stopped, they were so helpful and patient with us. We bought two of them .
