The studio is easy to access (from any direction in town) and has a large parking lot. As it's just off the beaten path traffic and parking constraints are not an issue. The studio is sparkling clean and there are always refreshing beverages to enjoy if you forget your water or tea at home. Sometimes there are treats too! Forgot your socks or want a stylish new top or leggings? They have those available too! Bolder Pilates has also been known to have fun events over the years - some in studio and some in local parks. Hooks near the entrance as well as an area for footwear lend a homey feel and let you stow your stuff nearby when attending class. While my first and fave instructor was Lexi I have met many others over the years. The owner, Donna is also a wonderful, knowledgeable, motivating and welcoming instructor. The group classes I've attended had about 5-6 students. Being in a class of this size ensures not only wonderful personalized instruction but also our safety which is very important and often overlooked at studios that just pack em in like sardines. Instruction is clear and the knowledge and expertise the staff have of the musculoskeletal system is evident. Incorporating Pilates into my wellness practice gives me a better sense and strength of my center, posture, and peace of mind. With an improved posture I feel on top of the world and ready to tackle whatever life throws at me next.

As I approach 60, I know that taking these classes is one of the most important things I can do to keep me on my bike, on the trails, and living my best life. When tired, my posture (at least in the past) went to crap. With their help, my ergonomics have dramatically changed which broke a headache/migraine pattern for me and greatly reduced my pain. During the Pandemic, they were a lifesaver. I did once per week online training, and when I returned to in-person, they were respectful of wearing masks (and still will if you ask them to). They installed ceiling fans to keep the air circulation moving. They have one on one training as well as a great class called Strong Balance. They also offer workshops to inspire and motivate people to step out of their comfort zone and try something new. Each week, I refer several people to KOA Fit. We have very complimentary practices. Acupuncture helps people reduce pain and inflammation, KOA Fit helps clients improve strength and muscle balance. Personally and professionally, I think they are fantastic! Fortunately, I have been taking Koa Fit exercise classes and doing personal training with Brenna Backe for 9 years. Despite having severe spinal stenosis which causes sciatic pain in my legs, my training with Brenna has helped me maintain strength and flexibility as I age. I live in a townhouse with 3 flights of stairs, so I climb about 100 steps a day, with no pain or problem. My core is strong and I can do planks, squats, bridges and other exercises that help me keep doing daily activities easily. The personal home exercise program that Brenna has created for me and which she continuously updates with videos that I use at home is an invaluable part of my daily routine. Over the years I have dealt various injuries, sometimes with the help of physiatrists and physical therapists. They have all told me that the years of work I have done with Brenna have clearly made a significant difference in my maintaining a good level of functional fitness. I highly recommend Brenna and the Koa Fit classes to anyone and everyone who wants to stay strong, flexible and healthy.

The community of supportive women represented at Fit Chick Express is the key reason I continue to feel motivated to commit to my weight loss goals each day. My daily gym experience feels more like being part of a team rather than the typical "me against myself" fitness routine. The owner organizes monthly challenges, weekend mud runs, triathlons, and fun activities to keep us moving and inspired. Her efforts have created an amazing bond among the women members, regardless of whether they are new or returning Fit Chicks. I've been most impressed by the after hours community support that the company hosts via an online forum. Members can ask for advice, offer support, and find solutions that will improve overall success. I've found the 24-7 support mind-blowingly important. Even on days when I don't quite feel up to dragging myself out of bed to work on my health, participating with these women, seeing and hearing about their struggles, and then watching them pursue team-structured triumphs that helps keep us all accountable has truly changed my mindset about my ability to succeed. The weight loss results I've seen from long-time members are astonishing (their online testimonials truly convinced me, but I get to see them everyday at the gym now and their accomplishments are awe-inspiring) and I am chipping away at my own goals. I highly recommend joining to any women who has shared in the weight loss struggle I describe. Your body, family, and spirit with thank you!
