Buyer Beware, I purchased a used boat which was advertised as "in extremely nice condition and all engine service was up to date" according to the sales person. I found out the hard way that this was not the case the boat has been in shops since I bought it three months ago engine repairs, electrical repairs, trailer repairs, fiberglass repairs and being ghosted by company. I have sent TM ,emails, and calls only to get a text from the sales person who advised not our problem read your contract and even highlighted the blurb "as is" in the contract. I live over three hundred mile away so an in person visit, not practical. My experience seems to be the normal business practice for this outfit and I just wanted to give any potential customer a heads up! BUYER BEWARE!! read more

When it comes to boats and boat engines, I go diesel. Why? Because it has guts and umph to it. You hit the start and they bellow like a line backer just kicked in the n**s. Low end torque, lots of it, low revs and none of that high whiny nonsense with explosive perfumery smelling vapors to worry a about. The only problem is, where to get them repaired, looked after, or if buying a used boat or diesel, inspected by a knowledgeable mechanic. After all, any engine that can hit your wallet for around $35,000 new, uncrated and uninstalled would be a heck of a thing to have to have to replace only because you tried to save a grand or so by not having it checked out, the oil lab analyzed, and a host of other details attended to. Diesel mechanics tend to be like good restaurant chefs, fickle as all get out, expensive and generally with an attitude that comes with knowing they have you over the proverbial barrel as far as mechanical knowledge. You can trust me on this, as I've learned the hard (read very expensive way) with regards to these matters, but haven't experienced any of that rather typical behavior with any of those at Compete Marine. Fortunately I happened upon Complete Marine and all I can say is that I've been happy with them and have had rather good luck ( not cheap luck....but reasonable enough) in my dealings with them. They don't do what they say they are going to do . Had to return 2 times because work was not done and had to point out the original issues .also a few things where broken while in their possession. They talk to you nicely when you bring your boat but when it's time to pay they Jack up the no. For things not done . Then give you a song and a dance. . Kevin cries about being in the sun for 5 minutes letting me know he can't do his job overseeing issue at hand. I sat for over 2 hrs as he wants to argue with you my Nostradamus of fixing the problem. BEWARE of this place!!! I took my boat for a small leak on my fuel tank sender gasket and after a week of waiting for a diagnostic I went to their place to see what was going on and they said that they tried to replace the gasket but the tank was deformed so they were not able to fix it..... they said that the only solution would be to replace the plastic fuel tank for an aluminum tank and it would cost me between 10k to 12k. I decided to take my boat for a second opinion and they told me there was no issue with the tank and they were able to replace the gasket without any problem. The worse part of all of this is that they made me take the boat with a 2 inch hole open in the fuel tank without making me nor the boat transport driver aware of. With the movement of the transportation, fuel splashed everywhere... very dangerous situation that they could've avoided by letting us know. Not to mention all the damage they did to my new floor mats as you can see in the pictures... I spent over $2100 on this place for them to return my boat in this condition. False diagnostic and sloppy work. Again BEWARE!!!!! I would rate them a 0 star if I could. BEWARE!!!! read more

I'm a resident of Pensacola, bought a boat in Boca Raton and needed impellers replaced in generator and 2 engines before I would try to bring it home. The boat had sat for 3 years, blades had "taken a set" and dried out - I knew the boat would never make the trip with the old impellers. Outrageous charge of $1450 for the job, and they had not touched the generator. They did a fine job on the 2 engines but the generator only lasted 30 hours. I spent 8 hours finding the 5 blade pieces in various parts of the cooling system. I showed the remains to a Yanmar mechanic locally who agreed it had sat in the engine for years. All with a specific job to do. Their interaction with each other is with military precision. I read all the bad reviews but went there on a recommendation and now wish I had trusted the Yelp reviews!!!!!! Was quoted $5,600 for tune up, surpentine belt, alternator and tensioner. I asked them to replace the life safety sensors in the cabin and was billed $1,200 for what should have cost less than $300. The total bill???? $9,400!!!!! and they had the balls to charge a credit card processing fee!!!!!! And had the boat for a month, when they told me two weeks. I won't even by gas fro this place even though I have to pass thre to access and return from the intercoastal. Highly recommend you save yourelf time, money and grief by checking out Hartmanns Yacht Services. They are mobile, responsive, full service and reasonably priced! read more

This company is really not honest. Most good comments here are fake or employees and screwed customers don't post because they have companies/names (etc). My first advice: don't buy their boats (even brand new, they are craps) Second advice: never bring your boat for repairs, they will screw you and charge 5 times more than other marinas !!!!!!!!! My parents have finally taken the plunge and decided to get a new (used, but new to us) bigger boat. My step father had an Ocean Yacht growing up and decided that 42 Ocean was exactly what he wanted - just enough space for island cruising without getting too cramped. There are 700 islands in The Bahamas and we've probably only seen 100 of them, so they've got a lot to keep them busy! The boat was already docked in Pompano upon purchase so Complete Marine seemed like the perfect place to have our repairs done before taking the long trek home. Complete Marine (notably Steve) has been in complete communication with us with every step along the way making sure we are up to date on what work is being done, the breakdown of the charges and updating the finish timeline so we can figure out when we can finally leave. As boat owners know what boat truly stands for (Break Out Another Thousand) the work hasn't been cheap, but their level of professionalism and communication has been superb. As my parents are not able to be on site to handle all of the repairs first hand Complete Marine has been instrumental with contacting third party vendors to get some of the repairs made. Worst experience , sales guy should be fired, complete lack of customer service , if you are in sales you should be hungry for money by being charismatic ,suggestive and an upseller, this MF when we arrive the only guy working in sales today i ask about a few options and he is like the boats are right there go check them out, wow im thinking this is crazy, then i ask , what about prices and specs , he answers : ONLINE. At this point i dont know what to think but only to slap this guy in the face, so we go and find 3 boats, help ourselves to the experience , then we go back to the office hoping another guy comes out from the sales department but i guess he was the only guy there, when we ask about the 3 boats he asks: are you paying cash or financed? Come on you just don't do that, we need prices first , we are the steps of closing a deal for sales ppl , at this point i am boiling inside out, he goes back in to come back and give us incorrect pricing , at this point i stopped him and told him he just dont want to f... work, i drove 40 min to this marina to be recieved by a guy that just dont care, and has an attitude, OWNER fire this guy and if you dont i guess when the fish stinks starts from the head. I purchased a Boat last year and gave Complete Marine and "Jimmy D" the oppurtunity to perform a limited pre-buy inspection. I also needed to bottom paint my Boat and some other odds and ends. They came back with a very high price so I decided to hire one of their competitors at a much lower cost. This must have angered Jimmy D. I figured I would give them another chance and called back recently (one year later) for some annual maintenance work and was scolded by Jimmy D about not giving him my business last year so he hung the phone up on me - REALLY?? Is this how you people do business ??? He and Complete Marine were WAY OVERPRICED !!! I have a text from him last year telling me that they don't even have any mechanics at the moment so I wasn't able to give him the business even at a higher price. He seemed to forget that text he sent me. THE BOTTOM LINE HERE - Jimmy D and Complete Marine in Pompano Beach, Florida are not friendly OR competittevily priced. I recently purchased my new (used) boat from Patrick and his team at Complete Marine. Being an experienced boater, I had a lot of questions and requests throughout the buying process. Patrick spent hours with me in person, and many hours on his own getting me all the information I needed. I was an out of town purchaser, and I expected things to take a lot longer, but this was not the case. The communication was excellent - every call was either taken immediately or I would receive a call back within minutes. The sea trial wasn't your typical 15-20 minute test, Patrick spent several hours, taking me through the boat and making sure I had all the information and experience to help in making the right decision for me. Upon purchase, Complete Marine worked seamlessly with my boat hauler to ensure a safe delivery to my home port. Patrick was even present as the boat was getting prepped for its delivery, and sent pictures and video througout the process - This extra care meant a lot to an owner who was a 1,000 miles away, and was particularly comforted to know that Complete Marine cared this much after the sale. I very highly recommend working with Patrick Devine and Complete Marine if you're considering buying a boat. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE. 6k bill! Only Hull Out is ($324) I seldom write reviews because I don't like to take the time to do it. My experience was so bad, today I have time. I'm writing this review as honest as I can and highlight lessons learned so you don't make the mistake I made of trusting these folks. The boat serviced was a 2020 Rinker 270EX (27 feet), Mercruiser Engine (200 hrs.), my boat is well maintained, I have a diver clean the hull every month- so is not like the boat is grossly full of barnacles. I came to this marina because my boat needed a water impeller replaced and a few other items.. Spoke with Kevin and it seem like we didn't communicate correctly because they ended up doing more work than needed to be completed. So lesson 1. Make sure you write down via email all the work you want done. When the work was completed my bill was for 7K with Instructions to pay via wire, yet a $200 convenience fee was part of that bill. Put a pin on that. Lesson 2. Get a detailed quote of everything that needs to be done and method of payment that they accept. It is foreseeable, that upon requesting service from any mechanic, they would suggest to address other repairs they see fit. So Lesson 3 make sure you tell them clearly. DO NOT DO THE WORK until you agree to it and know the price. Otherwise, they will do it. I have receipts and proof. For example, I asked to wax the boat hull of the boat (price $675)- well they Charged me an additional $162 for "pressure wash". When I questioned why this is separate from the waxing- According to Kevin, this was needed to remove "barnacles" on the boat. Okay! I guess so. Then I saw another item "Scrapped Outdrive" $346.50- I questioned kevin as to why is this is separated from the "pressure wash" - his response was that this is something that needed to be done because the pressure wash didn't take it off. Mind you, i just wanted the hull waxed. I never wanted the boat pressure wash or the outdrive scrapped. So my "just wax the hull request" (1,186.00) for that. The water impeller issue, "$2590.93"- as per Kevin, it was because the whole housing needed to be replaced. I agreed to this service because i believed that this was true at the moment- today, I have doubts that was the case. Remember the $200 convenience fee- I questioned that. they said that this was only IF you pay with credit card, yet you will get a bill with clear instructions to pay the bill via wire and no language that is only if you pay with CC. so, if I didn't questioned that, I would've just wired the whole amount- they claimed that they would've taken it off if the money was wired (okay! , so you take the $200 via wire and then return it? Sure!). After all these issues, I complained, spoke with Tanya ( she was great by the way, doesn't belong in this marina- girl find another company) and was able to take off 1k. When I went to pick up the boat, I find the boat FILTHY, dirty foot prints ,very dirty after sitting in the marina for over a week , the bedding was a mess, my life jackets all over the cabin ( I guess they accessed a panel that was under the bed) Okay, fine, Tanya , clearly told an employee to wash it and make sure is super clean. I didn't want to put pressure on the employee to clean it, so I decided to return the next day. go back the next day around noon, boat still dirty and not washed. I went to Tanya, she was in disbelieve. She went and addressed the issue and asked and employee to go wash it , "open the compartments" etc. Do a thorough job. Waited 40 minutes, I go to the boat, now is just wet and dirty. no sign of soap or scrubbing and my whole cabin full of water, same dirty shoe foot prints. I asked an employee for a manager- manager didn't even have the courtesy to see me. He sent Tanya. Tanya saw how dirty it was and felt so bad, she requested for some folks to do a detailed job the next day. Now, Tanya is the only silver lining in this story- but I'm writing this to highlight the poor attention to details and customer service that doesn't warrant their over the top prices. read more

My experience with this place started off bad from the start. I live 3 hours away and wanted to get approved for financing and know the numbers before I took the trip down. "Ken" the finance guy seemed alright until I asked for a buyers order. To which he replied "company policy is I can't give it to you" I've been the the auto sales business for the last 6 years and I've never heard of such a thing on a used vehicle and same goes for a boat. I also asked about the price discrepancy and he said that the salesperson handles that part. Funny because the sales guy said that was Finance's job. Okay so after a bunch of bullshit I decide to make the 3 hour drive. The boat is filthy dirty and I noticed some small mostly cosmetic issues with it. I tell the sales guy about it. He informs me that all boats are on consignment. Meaning no services have been done. No oil change, no battery check. Nada. At this point I'm seeing more and more red flags that tells me to run. Bottom line with them is the boats aren't theirs. Ken the finance manager was totally unprofessional beyond belief. After I told him I wasn't going to proceed with the purchase he angrily says "I knew this would happen". Oh and they apparently only accept wire transfers for money down. No real explanation was given other than they have been scammed. I asked about cash and he said yes but at that time in the day I wouldn't have been able to pull that much from an ATM. I wasn't about to drive another 6 hours on my next day off work. I read the reviews on here before dealing with them, figured I'd give them the benefit of the doubt. I believe all the bad reviews on here now. Funny thing was is a wealthy client of mine referred me to them. I didn't mention it because they're very private. But I can tell you that they lost my business as well as my clients. read more

We just purchased a boat and were Traveling up the Intracoastal Waterway and our serpentine belt broke on one of our Motors. I called Several places with no help until we found Complete Marine. They not only had the part we needed, they worked out their schedule to free a mechanic up to get the repair completed and us on our way. The staff was professional, courteous and very helpful. The Pricing was reasonable as well. I would have paid extra for the last minute work as this was also on a Friday afternoon and they did not take advantage of us or the situation. I would recommend them to anyone needing anything for your boat. They will be our go to for needs in the future and they are a 2 hour car drive from where we live. They are First Rate ! read more

Not trustworthy folks! I had them do exhausts, shafts / bearings, and motor mounts on both sides on my boat. They ended up keeping the boat little over 4 months. The only thing they know how to do well is always ask for more money! Dave looked to be an OK guy, but I was very disappointed with him at the end. Did not take phone calls, basically did not want to face the budget commitment he has given me. Marty is about as worthless as they come. When the capitan went to pick up my boat after bill was paid, they would not release the boat until he signs a paper of completion waving any right to question the work after. Had to call the police and it was released in 5 min. About the work: capitan told me that port transmission start leaking from the valve about 11 miles out of their shop. We had to fix the problem. Two months later had my mechanic change the oil on both motors, while doing that he told me the port side motor mounts were just finger tight. I will never go back there again! Do your research before you go! Save yourself some troubles. read more

Spring 2022 purchased a 2006 Pursuit 3370 with a list of items that needed to be fixed. This boat is transported between Ft. Lauderdale to Newport RI spring and fall, in an attempt for endless summer cruising New England and the Bahamas. Went to three yards which were to busy to hit the list. By chance the transport company took us to Complete Marine this fall where we were assigned to Account Executive Ed Tolosi, Kevin Nash Yacht yard Supervisor and Mechanic Randy Redding. Well the list was nailed over a six week period. Thank you Complete Marine for your dedicated staff and friendly technical support which carried us through a Yacht refit. Total cons. Bought a boat and it was not brokered through this marina but boat was located at this marina. I had no choice but to get some work done there. We showed up to the boat and got on with broker and everything was okay. After, we grabbed a bite to eat and came back to find the marina locked. We got in contact with marina owner through someone else on dock and owner claimed he had no clue who we are or what the boat was. We ended up having to stay the night in hotel and not on boat. The next morning the owner showed up and acted as if none of that happened. We were very happy to get underway from this marina and never see them again read more

I have a worldcat center console I have owned since 2001 and its has been a fantastic boat, October I had a steering problem and had to get the boat back to the dock without the use of the steering. I called Complete Marne and spoke David Giannone the owner and he gave some ideas how to get it back in using only the motors to navigate it back to the dock Once at the dock Steve Otton the service manager was able to diagnose the problem right away, ordered the part and I was back on the water the next day. After three months of giving me the run around and two separate gelcoat guys that were supposed to assess warranty work, they said I need to go through the manufacture!
