Today was my 6th visit. I knew after I came in for my initial consultation, that I would be purchasing a multi-visit package of 10 visits. I initially came in for severe chronic pain and chronic insomnia. Every week when I come in I find that I'm more focused on the peaceful and calm energy that radiates from this acupuncture office and the staff. I feel I am under some of the best care with Dr Kim and his talent, skills and abilities. Vincent is amazing with his talent and skills in reflexology and massage and Amanda, who was my first contact when I walked into the office, is a breath of fresh air with her sweet personality. When I finish using this package of 10 visits, I will purchase another, because I am going to make this part of my loving, self-care for myself. Dr Kim's office is set up so beautifully, from when you first walk in and hear the calm, relaxing music playing, to when you're taken back to the treatment room, where the beautiful music continues, a peaceful fountain with the most beautiful water sounds and the most serene video playing on the wall for your viewing. Then comes the foot soak, the warm corn tea, Vincent's massage and reflexology. Then Dr Kim comes into the room, greeting you with the biggest smile. In fact, you're greeted with that same smile from Amanda and Vincent also. And then Dr Kim performs his magic with the acupuncture. I decided to finally give acupuncture a try again as part of my personal plan to maintain health and fine tune parts of my system regarding sleep and fatigue. When I read Dr. Kim's story about overcoming his own challenges and the improvements in his own life I decided he would be best suited to practice on others, and I was not disappointed! You can tell Dr. Kim paid great attention in his studies, and finds it important to explain some of the high level theory of the practice so each of his friends (and that is how you feel) he is helping understand what he is doing and why. I found the explanation of balance and energy useful and interesting (yin/yang & chi). Then the treatment itself was a great experience. He explained what each needle was doing as he was inserting them, and in certain spots you can feel an immediate reaction in your body. He checked on my chi every 5 to 7 minutes until it was re-aligned. Then came the Reflexology with Vincent aka "The Footmaster", which I had never experienced, and was a treat. The hot herbal bath felt awesome, and the accompanying massage of neck, foot, calves hit the spot. I left feeling totally relaxed. Finally, as others have said, the environment is clean, modern and comfortable from the décor to the acupuncture bed itself. The little things like the herbal tea for sipping really add up to a great experience. I spent a total of one year going to see Dr. Kim for rosacea/acne and the only reason I'm not anymore is because I moved back to the UK! I wish I could have brought him with me - he is that excellent at what he does. My skin has been transformed. Through a combination of acupuncture, herbal medicine and nightly foot baths & deep breathing exercises, my skin went from red & patchy (with occasional bumps) to clear and bright. I had tried western topical prescription medication such a steroids and other creams, but the issue would simply disappear and come back as soon as I stopped using them. TCM fixed the underlying issue of damp heat. On my last visit before leaving the U.S, Dr. Kim performed a facial skin tightening treatment with acu needles, and it was amazing. While I am in my late 20s and have relatively soft skin without wrinkles, I left feeling as if I'd just had a round of botox (in a good way, without the toxins). The skin felt significantly tighter and elastic - I'd highly recommend if you need a pick me up without wanting to inject chemicals into your skin. I drove a friend to his appointment at Complete Harmony Acupuncture and was sitting in the very relaxing lobby waiting for him when I was offered some tea. Although I am a huge fan of natural healing, I had never been interested in Acupuncture myself because I am not a fan of needles! LOL :) But while I waited, the owner Dr. Kim (who goes by Joey) came by and we started having a great conversation about natural healing modalities and we just hit it off. Before you know it, I let him test a needle on me and I couldn't even feel it! So I booked an appointment and have been back to him twice since then and will continue. Joey is very empathic and really takes his time to get to know you as this gives him clarity on how to serve you. He loves to educate you through the session too which makes you feel a part of the healing process and decisions. After several of my friends recommended Complete Harmony Acupuncture, I decided to try it as my first experience with acupuncture. The facility is balanced with functionality and beauty and so is very relaxing and calm. The staff was friendly and professional. Dr. Kim (Dr. Joey) is very knowledgeable and within seconds was able to diagnose and suggest a treatment plan for me. I did not know what to expect and was pleasantly surprised with a hot foot bath, neck and shoulder massage, and hot tea . Vincent also gave me an awesome foot and leg massage. The acupuncture needles were expertly inserted so I didn't feel them as I thought I might. At the end of the treatment, I felt very relaxed and felt more in balance. I was also told about how to better manage headaches and migraines. I have gone several more times since my first experience and plan to continue as a way of centering and healing myself. I had acupuncture, a massage, and a reflexology session at Complete Harmony Acupuncture I went in because I needed to calm down, relax and unwind a bit. First of all the girl at the front desk was very welcoming. Then, I met with Joey the acupuncturist. He asked questions about any issues I may be having with my health. After our talk he was able to give me some ideas of how I could improve my health, such as some breathing techniques. He really taught me a lot. Joey then gave me acupuncture for my specific needs. Next dr. Kim came in with an herbal foot bath to reduce toxins in the body, along with an amazing neck massage to reduce stress. lastly, I was given a reflexology session. The staff is very kind . It is a very comfortable and relaxing atmosphere. The doctors took great care to answer my questions. It was my first time to use Acupuncture. I have seen a reduction in pain in my back. which I was not getting else where. And it really has not been painful. When I have done P.T. and chiropractic visits it was a much more painful experience with little results. When I went to traditional doctors they just said there is nothing to be done. I had already had 2 oblations and shots, P.T. and Chiropractic help for several years. i have been frustrated with not being able to sit more then 20 min. or stand for any lengths of time. My wife was in an automobile accident, and although she had been seeing a chiropractor and massage therapist, was still having trouble with her neck and upper back. We decided to try acupuncture for her, and so far she has had 3 sessions here with Dr. Kim. Wow I can't say enough great things about Joey & his Assistant & the care I got! I was in town for a month & decided to try this as my arm had been bothering me for several months. I just finished my 2nd session. I had both the acupuncture and Foot Reflexology each time. I went there for help with my anxiety and I can say, with my given homework that my daily experience has improved tremendously.
