On December 10th the technician arrived and suggested that the failure was user error, that I had "allowed" the seal to become frozen to the ground. First, I've never heard of such a thing. Second, this is Michigan... Now, after several weeks, and several attempts to reach Jason. He texted me and said that "the manufacturer had rejected my claim"??? But, not to worry, because the garage door guy, would sell me an "aftermarket" repair for just $300.

I agreed, but with the new system the put cheap springs and one broke only after 2 years. I will not use this company again. Just had another garge door company out to look at it and downriver door and window put the wrong springs on my door due to it weighing 246 pounds. buy beware
