Before each massage therapy session she takes the time to ask which particular muscle groups might need more work that day, then gives those areas the extra attention needed. One of the most impressive aspects of her approach is that she shares her wisdom on why these trouble areas might be in distress based on my recent activity (or lack thereof). She also provided guidance on particular stretches I can utilize on a routine basis to prevent chronic pain in problem muscles groups. This has made a world of difference for me. I have been going to Complete Bodyworks for about a year now (in her old location and the new location) and Hayley is by far the BEST massage therapist I have ever been to (and I have been to a LOT)! I admit that I have been forgetting to check in and to write this review for a while because I usually am so much more relaxed when I leave - I stop thinking of anything I need to do! Hayley is excellent at deep tissue massage and finding places I didn't even know were bothering me based on what I did know was wrong. She takes classes and continuing education classes to continue to expand her knowledge and add new techniques to her repertoire and she gives me helpful exercises and posture advice to try to keep me healthy in between sessions. There is plenty of parking space at her new location on 1221 W Ben White Blvd - when you get to the complex you want to head to the "B" side in the back. She is in the building closest to Banister lane, on the south side of the building. Her office is up a flight of stairs once you get inside. Just watch out when you are leaving as there is a stair right outside the door. She is great for ongoing maintenance or acute current pain treatment. I had been looking forward to this massage for weeks and boy did I need it! Hayley was so knowledgeable and surprisingly strong, it was one of the best massages I've ever had! The office was really nice and calming and I really enjoyed the relaxing music. Sometimes people just don't get it but hers was perfect. When I developed a chronic neck injury, I became even more desperate to find someone that could help give me some relief. Hayley is phenomenal at what she does. She has an encyclopedic knowledge of the body and knows exactly which muscles are affecting you on any given day--and she addresses each one thusly, with the perfect amount of power. She was able to unlock muscles I didn't even know I had in my neck! I find that when you get a deep tissue massage at most places, the therapist goes about the massage by blindly jabbing an elbow around and it drives me crazy. Hayley is the polar opposite of that. About two years ago I was experiencing upper and lower back pain that came from a weekend of overdoing it in the garden. At this time I was also experiencing tension migraine headaches. The licensed massage therapist I had been utilizing had just relocated out of state and knowing of the benefits of massage for soft tissue damage I was on the hunt for a new LMT. I found Hayley through a coupon on Groupon. She was working for a chiropractor's office in the Deep Eddy area and between the chiropractic massages she was filling her days with the Groupon customers. When I met her I noted immediately that she is the consummate professional with a very friendly and open personality. I immediately felt at home with her. I told her what my issues were during intake. She was very attentive. Once I was on the table It was like her fingers had radars and she knew exactly where to go to get to the issues in my back causing me such pain. I asked for deep tissue and she delivered the exact amount of pressure to relieve the knots in my back explaining what she was finding as she went. When I left that day I felt immediate relief and the next day I called and made another appointment with her. . Since that time I have made going to Hayley a staple of my health regime. Instead of relying on pain meds I visit Hayley on a regular basis. The results of my sessions with Hayley are immediate and I feel good for days and sometimes weeks. My migraines have all but ceased since I started having deep tissue massages by Hayley. I no longer take my migraine medication except on the very rare occasions that they rear their ugly heads. For my birthday I treated myself to one of her spa packages and was completely relaxed and very well attended to with the combination deep tissue, relaxation message, hot stone massage, sea-salt scrub and facial massage. Definitely a great birthday gift to myself.. She has since branched out on her own. Her new location is nicely located just south of Barton Springs Road on South First Street. It is easy to find and has a nice feel to it. The chiropractor gave me permission to follow her as I was more her client than I was his.
