Sole Symphony Ashiatsu Massage - Some symphony Businesses card - Massage Therapy Near Me - Austin, Texas

I only got introduced to Ashiatsu while traveling this summer. So glad to have found Christina within 10 minutes from me. From my experience, she's a really genuine, gentle and caring human being. I would very highly recommend her. read more

Ok gear up this will be a little long; I will leave a TL:DR at the end for people who want a faster review. To start I'll say that I get massages very frequently, and have been doing so for years. I have seen a dozen or more different therapists who do and have different styles and none of them are on the same level as Christina. She is the best massage therapist I have ever seen, and the gap to second best is huge. The passion, nurturing, comfort, customization, and overall experience is unmatched. Her pressure is amazing and she is capable of delivering large or moderate pressure on demand which is very unique for an ashiatsu therapist. She will focus on your problem areas, and find any additional spots that tag team where the pain was coming from. She communicates with you the whole time getting every little ache anywhere on your body. Her space is really nice, it had a couple chairs in a small waiting area and a dimly lit area for the massage with the bars separated by an opaque curtain. The directions on her website for locating the studio were perfect I had zero issues finding it. All I can say is if I wasn't flying in from another state to visit and I actually lived in Austin she would have a client for life; I would see no one else because it would be like a downgrade when I'd rather see Christina, the best massage therapist ever! TL:DR seen dozens of therapist, Christina is best out of all by a large margin. Worth every penny; get the longest massage and savor every minute. read more

Incredible first experience with ashiatsu massage. Christina was communicative, mindful, and provided an excellent service start to finish. Left feeling great and will be back! read more

Man, where to start... I had never had an ashiatsu massage. I was blown away at the techniques used by Christina. Very deep and soothing relief to upper back and traps tension. Try it, you won't be disappointed. read more

I went to Christina yesterday to have what I believe is my third ashiatsu massage ever. Being a bodyworker myself I'm always interested to interact with other professionals in my field and like most, I'm a snob. If I was a mechanic, I'd be a snob about who fixed my car, etc. Christina's office is in a Great location near Hopdoddy's on South Congress. When I walked in the place was calm, soothing and very organized. We chatted a bit before the session so she could find out if I had any old war wounds. After my intake she began what was a wonderfully deep ashiatsu session. Christina's body size makes ashiatsu a perfect fit for her. Ashiatsu allows a deep broad pressure that's completely different than a sharp elbow. Her work allows a pressure that actually feels deeper than an elbow but doesn't sting due to its spreading of pressure along a greater surface area. (Translated that's massage nerd for it's GReat!) She is allowed to leverage body weight to apply DEEp pressure into muscles that wouldn't be possible through hands in traditional table massage. My first thought was that she's great at working on those in the tech industry downtown. This is nearly a perfect location for those down south and the technique and pressure she delivers allows someone who has computer posture to get Real relief. I'm picky about bodywork, very much so but I'd see Christina again in a heartbeat. I hope to make it in again soon. If you're sitting in an office reading this, make an appointment now. Trust me! read more

Not that you need my 5 star review.... But, for what it's worth- I am also an Ashiatsu therapist. I traveled to Austin recently and had to meet Christina. The therapy she offers is beyond anything you could hope for!!!! She is amazing! If I am able to give my clients half the hearing energy she brings to the table, then I would consider myself blessed. Book with her----- it will be the best thing you've done for yourself this week!!!! read more

This was the best massage I've ever had. The atmosphere was calming and comfortable and Christina made me feel very at ease. Having never had an Ashiatsu massage before, I was pleasantly surprised by the depth of the massage without it being painful. I highly recommend Christina and plan to return in the future! read more

Relaxing and therapeutic! I am really happy the results of my session at Sole Symphony Ashiatsu Massage. I am hunched over at work much of the day and carry my stress in my shoulders and neck so I booked an Ashiatsu massage because I wanted more deep tissue work. Christina has a calming presence and makes you feel entirely at ease. She took into account my problem areas and an old sports injury I had to help correct some of those issues. She even showed me how to do a couple simple stretches at home to improve the tightness in my shoulders. (I already notice a difference!) My session was incredibly relaxing, beyond what I've experienced from other places. Instead of the pain I tend to associate with deep tissue, it felt great to have all my knots worked out. It was revitalizing. With Ashiatsu massage, you need to go to someone who knows what they are doing. Christina specializes in this type of massage and is highly skilled at her craft. Anyone who works at a computer or athletes who are hard on their bodies will notice a difference after a session with Christina. Highly recommend! read more

Before beginning your session, Christina sits down with you to discuss your specific areas of discomfort and what you hope to achieve during your session. When you're in your session, not only does Christina give a complete full-body massage, she also works on your specific areas of discomfort from several different positions in order to release and relieve your discomfort. Ashiatsu massage itself will be a completely new sensation to those who are familiar with traditional massage. The strokes and movements are broader and, while the muscle work is deeper, it is not uncomfortable, due to the broader coverage of the ball, sole, and heel versus a thumb or knuckles. To me, ashiatsu is more pleasing and relaxing than traditional massage. Christina is a professional and commands complete confidence in her ability and her method. I will definitely be returning next time I'm in Austin. read more

This was such a wonderful and helpful experience. I am one of those that sit in front of a computer all day with poor posture. A few months ago, my neck and upper back became tense and started to limit my range of motion, it also began hurting when I looked left or tilted my head left. After my first appointment with Christina, my range of motion increased immensely and the pain almost disappeared over the next few days. I highly recommend her! read more

I saw her a few months ago and had an amazing experience. I am also a massage therapist and loved her deep techniques. It really did feel like I was getting rolled out like some dough. I love the style, and I loved her representation of that style of massage. read more

I wish I could rate Sole Symphony more than five stars. Christina provides the best massage therapy I have ever received. I recently moved to the east coast from Austin, but I plan to book an appointment every time I go back to visit. The suction cup therapy along with the well-tailored massage consistently tamed a chronic injury, helping to relieve pain for over a month in most cases. Skilled chiropractic care did not provide the degree and duration of pain relief that I received at Sole Symphony. Following treatments I also found myself centered and back on track in more subtle ways that speak to Christina's prowess a a healer. I'd encourage anyone to try it out. read more

Christina was awesome! Very welcoming and the hospitality is top notch. You can tell she cares about her craft and does everything possible to accommodate for her clients. First Ashiatsu massage and didn't disappoint, looking forward to the next. Recommend if you're in the area. read more

I went to see Christina when I was having lower back pain. After a brief consultation Christina got me on the table. Not only did she make my back feel better, but it was a very relaxing, enjoyable experience. And a great stress reliever. I will certainly return, and have recommended Sole Symphony to many of my friends and family. read more

In just two visits I'm already feeling improvements in my posture and a pretty substantial reduction in pain and tension in my middle back. Christina made me feel comfortable and welcome and it's allowed me to respond to the treatment instead of fighting it. I really can't recommend her enough -- she really is amazing. read more

This was my first ashiatsu massage and it will not be my last! At first I made an hour appointment, but my day opened up and I called to see if I could make it into a 2 hour. I left a message and Christina called me right back and was able to fit me in. Her place is located off of Congress in an office building. Parking took me a few minutes, but nothing too horrible for that location. It was such a cute little spot, the way she had it decorated was very warm and inviting. I arrived a little earlier than my scheduled appointment as she was still setting up the new linens, I love knowing this is actually done. She also offered a heating pad while I get the massage. After she was done with that we had a little consultation where she asks what I need done and what my goals were for that session. Then off to undress. She begins by oiling you up and a light massage with her hands, then her magic begins! Do not underestimate her tiny stature, when you ask for deep that is what you're going to get, by using her feet it's a more even all over deep and a wider area than the hands can accomplish. Also, allow oil into your hair, her head massages accompany your shoulder massages amazingly. While on my back I was able to peek at her technique and it seems as spiritual to her as it is as relaxing to me. Another great plus is while she is explaining what she is about to do and which position you should be in, is her voice! She has that soft voice which sounds as guidance that let's you stay calm without snapping you out of the massage mode. I will be back!! read more

I never had ashiatsu massage before and randomly chose this while visiting town for a conference, and it was amazing! The space is lovely and peaceful and Christina is very talented. I would definitely come back regularly if I lived here. I could really feel a kind of slow deep stretch I haven't experienced through other massage modes. Highly recommend! read more

This was arguably one of the best body work experiences I have ever had in my life. And I am a body work enthusiast of all styles. Kristina is incredibly talented. Next time I visit Austin I'll be sure to book in again! read more

I had (thought) that I had an Ashiatsu massage before but I apparently didn't. Because Christina is a professional who really cares about what she is doing and knows what she is doing. I play soccer and my leg muscles ached and I hold anxiety in my shoulders. Talented feet are much better for those muscles than little hands. Although she does use her hands too. I didn't make a laundry list of little things I wanted during my first visit, but she did all of them and more without asking. HINT: If she asks if you mind having oil in your hair, say "no." She provides nice scalp and facial massages and touches while rubbing your shoulders with her feet at the same time. My lucky friends will be getting gift certificates to Sole Symphony. I'm an EPL fan and my favorite player is David Silva whose nickname is "El Majo" or "The Wizard." I told Christiana she is El Majo also. read more

I have been to several ashiatsu therapists, but Christina is the best, hands down (no pun intended :) She really knows what she's doing AND has a very intuitive and caring touch, and despite her small stature, she can really dig in when she needs to. read more

If you want the best massage you've ever had you need to try this style!! I was a little skeptical but I walked out of the appointment feeling awesome. Christina really knows what she is doing. I went there with a pain that I had from a work related injury after I visited my primary physician, who recommended a physical therapist who after 4 visits recommended a sports therapist. In two visits with Christina I was HEALED!! I now visit her twice a month. Very clean very private. I would have given this review a 10 star rating but it only goes to 5. read more

Wow. What a great hour. I totally drifted away to another place and came back to have my muscles totally relaxed. Thank you

As a chiropractor I am often referring my patients to massage therapy to complement the work that I do. I had never had an Ashiatsu massage before meeting Christina. Of course before referring a patient I have to try it out for myself. I didn't have any nagging aches and pains, but I utilize massage monthly along with weekly adjustments to keep my body tuned up. Christina has a very relaxing atmosphere. I like a deep massage and I was amazed by the perfect amount of pressure she was able to apply and how she was able to locate and focus on the areas that needed it without me directing her. Whether you need therapeutic massage to help with aches and pains or just want a relaxing tune up, Sole Symphony can take care of you. read more

I got an ashiatsu massage from Christina. It was amazing. She is sensitive to the amount of pressure you want - whether firm or soft - and you can tell she really cares about her clients' well-bring. I'll definitely be back! read more

I travel a lot for work and sometimes I am in a new city for months at a time. Finding a new masseuse that you like can be frustrating. I was so lucky with choosing Christina. I have had massages all over the world and Christina's technique rivals the best anywhere. Thanks for taking care of me while I was there. I always looked forward to our weekly session. read more

I was introduced to ashiatsu massage about 6 years ago and never have looked at going back to your hands-on massage. This was the best thing ever... so I thought, until I discovered Christina's Sole Symphony a little over a year ago. I have to say Christina is very skilled at ashiatsu and enjoys her work. She always listens to whatever aches or pains you may have and tends to those areas. My favorite thing about Christina's massages are no two sessions with her are ever the same. She caters and customizes her sessions to your needs. She is without a doubt the best ashiatsu therapist I have ever visited, and I have been to a few. read more

Great experience all around. Christina is a healer.

The best massage ever, in a lovely, relaxing environment. Christina is so warm, she immediately puts you at ease. I was skeptical about how deep she would be able to go because I like my massages to be intense, but my concerns (and my stress) were quickly dispelled. This is the best time I've had being walked on. :) Christina, I'll be back! read more

I have never had a more effective and intelligent deep tissue massage. I'm a fairly heavily muscled, athletic male. I have had quite a few athletic injuries and have more than my share of scar adhesion in my muscles. Deep tissue massages have always been disappointing because typically they were not very deep and not very balanced. When they were deep it was usually on a very limited part of my body, very painful, and left me feeling bruised. What amazed me about the Ashiatsu massage Christina gave me was the way it was very evenly deep, and the way it lengthened and re-oriented my muscle tissue. Fingertips just can't match how a foot can penetrate and at the same time lengthen and stretch your calf, especially the way Christina does it (she balances and supports herself on two wooden bars that run across the ceiling, so that she can use her feet in long strokes, with varying pressure. So what you get is tissue adhesion being broken up and then stretched, which reorients it in the direction of the rest of the muscle tissue. It was amazing how much technique went into the massage. If I didn't know she was using her feet I would have had no idea what was touching my body. Something powerful, strong, hard, and soft. It was also amazing how even and thorough the massage was. And - it was deep without the pain I normally feel with deep massage, because it was so even. It was by far the best and most effective massage I have ever had. It was worth taking the time to write this review. read more
