The container drop off and pick up were easy to schedule and reschedule (we rescheduled the delivery several times, once with less than 24 hours notice), the phone customer service people were helpful, the pod was very clean, and our stuff came back exactly as we'd packed it. Considering the terrible, rushed job we did packing up glassware, etc, we were surprised nothing was broken. No water damage or smell of anything having been wet during the storage period (we worried that the hurricane might have soaked our pod). Clearly, we had relatively low expectations. Negatives: (1) We had problems several times with re-scheduling deliveries through the web site, and had to resort to calling customer service (who were able to help us quickly and smoothly). (2) The pod delivery was about 2 hours outside the scheduling window. And (3) it was pricey -- the cost of storage added up, especially when we needed our pod for months longer than expected. However, based on my limited research, the price was about the same as (or maybe better than) storing items with similar companies -- and overall, it was worth the convenience of having our stuff picked up and dropped off. We would do business with PODS again, especially for short term storage.

They are so kind, so thoughtful, and take such care with the entire process, including developing a layout of the new apartment, figuring out which furniture will fit and where, and then -- almost magically -- quickly and carefully and efficiently packing, moving, and unpacking everything so that when you walk into the "new" apartment, everything looks just like home. Made the move so much easier for us. They asked for detailed info about furniture placement & that we label the boxes as to where the contents was to go which made it easier for them. Absolutely one of the worst experiences I have had. Due to water damage in my home, Serve Pro did…read morea pack out. Pod was supposed to arrive 3 or 4 days ago. Serve Pro was moving my things out when they got a call that due to a "warehouse problem" the pod would not arrive. All the pack out needed to be moved back into the house. When the driver arrived, luckily I told him I needed to be able to get into my driveway because it appeared that her was going to just drop off the pod blocking everything. He was extremely rude, dismissive, condescending and hostile. I asked if once he moved the pod if I would have room to use the garage and he said "well you'll just have to park here; you've got space". I explained that with the tall trees in the woods behind my house that I would need to find another space to park and he said "well I don't have a garage and I park outside". It's an awful experience to have water damage belongings and Serve Pro has been wonderful to work with. But I will NEVER use PODS and will tell everyone I know about this experience. Late, rude, hostile and condescending.
