I'm writing to share an experience I had during a recent phone call. I called and politely asked if I could speak with someone who speaks Spanish. I was told, in a rather abrupt tone, that no one was available and the call was ended. I called back to understand what had happened, and when I asked why the call had been disconnected, I was again told, somewhat rudely, that there was nobody who speaks Spanish. I then said I would try to explain what I needed in English, but the response I received -- "Ok, so what do you want?" -- was delivered in a tone that clearly conveyed annoyance and impatience. At that point, noticing the discomfort and lack of willingness to help, I chose to end the conversation politely and wished her a good day. I believe customer service is extremely important. Even when language barriers exist, professionalism, patience, and courtesy should always remain priorities. If someone is not comfortable interacting respectfully with customers, it may be worth reconsidering whether they are suited for a customer-facing role. My intention is simply to provide constructive feedback so future interactions can reflect the level of service customers expect and deserve. read more

Bought a set of clutch springs (6) on ebay from them, they waited 5 days to ship and when they finally arrived there were only TWO in the package. The listing was for a full set of SIX. This is a shop and any bike mech/tech knows there are more than 2 clutch springs and they are useless unless in a full set. The package they were shipped in actually listed 6 springs on it. They either took 4 out or were too stupid to realize there were only two. I wouldn't trust them to work on anything. They also ignored three messages from me and however many eBay sent them. dropped off my suzuki boulovard there as it was running rough and missing, i had noticed they had another one there they werte working on so i figured they were familiar with this motorcycle, after a month of screwing around I was told my bill was $450 and i needed a trailer to pick it up. I rode the bike in and trailered it out i recently had someone else repair it and it would seem the mechanic at competition had switched the fuel pump out with the other boulovard that was there ( it belonged to someone at the shop) i was informed by the new mechanis the plug for the fuel pump was broken and this was the first time this tank had ever been opened, i will never go back there again and would suggest everyone else stay away if you like your bike read more

I do not recommend this shop I went to get a tire chain and front pads done came out to $1k then when I leave with the bike it wouldn't stop the mechanics never told me that the brakes were not working properly before me taking off to drive it then I once I noticed the issues I called and returned the bike for a service that was never done but was tricked to sign a paper stating it wasn't their issue followed by the employees disregards and disrespect read more

These guys are real professionals . Took my bike in there and waited over 3 hours but it was definitely worth it. My bike now runs great they adjusted my clutch , put new rear breaks , a new rear tire. I feel safe again riding around it's such a good feeling to know you've trusted your bike to be worked on by people who actually know what they are doing and care . I paid over $300 but it was definitely worth it and I'm very happy and would definitely recommend . I rarely write a bad review but when it comes to poor customer service they need to be blasted. Walked in and not even greeted. Asked the front desk gentlemen for help to see if something was avaliable and he didn't even acknowledge us. He just took my item walked away came back check the computer to finally speak and say the part wasn't available, that he would have to order. Not once did he speak in a respectful manner. He acted like he didn't want to help nor be there. In addition everything is over priced. You can easily find everything alot cheaper on ebay. I needed a last minute item so decided to go there but after the shitty service I don't plan to go back. Too bad I'm the first review and it's a bad one.... I really dislike leaving negative reviews and feel as if I have nothing good to say- don't say anything at all- but my experience today at this shop really urges me to relay my experience at Competition Cycle Center. What a disappointing experience: January 15, 2020 I called via phone and asked if they had a set of tires in stock and was told "yes." I asked if I could go over and have them installed while I wait or did I need to make an appointment. I was told they do arrange appointments but that I could go over and they'd install the tires now- I told the service guy I was going right over to have the tires installed and was told "great, see you shortly." Upon arrival (20 minutes after call) I told the counterperson I was the fellow who spoke to them about getting tires installed and was told, "no way, you can't get tires installed today- we're backed up- come back next week." I replied "I spoke with someone on the phone and they told me I could come over and get the tires installed today while I wait" and was told- "nope- not today, maybe next week." Their attitude was terrible, cavalier and without regard- I wouldn't support this shop and don't recommend anyone honor them with your hard earned money when much better shops deserve it. This shop simply couldn't care less about their customers. On another note- the shop is dingy and dark and the stock looked old....it doesn't appear as their inventory is fresh- it looks like they're buying eBay stuff and reselling it- it's not a pretty shop to visit and just looks 'worn.' It's also empty and has the appearance of a shop about to close it's doors- I don't know how they pay their rent. This is a shop to avoid- based on my experience this shop is already dead in the water and seems on the brink of closing and the workers seem to care nothing about how they treat customers. read more

These guys are straight and to th point, no bs! I brought my wheels in to get tires mounted and balanced they got it done in less than two hours and did a great job. They told me about a dent in my front wheel that other shop did not mention they did an excellent job weighting the tire so I don't feel the dent. I brought my newly purchased 2005 Yamaha R1 to Competition Cycle on 2/2/2019 for new tires and an oil change. I spent $593.94 that day and received A-1 service at the counter. I returned a couple of times for parts and gear because of this. On 5/21/19, I started the process of changing the oil on my own and the oil drain plug would not budge. It took a breaker bar and my feet pushing to knock the bolt loose to spin, when the specs require only 31.5ft-lbs. The threads were stripped; it just spins and would not come out. The mechanic at Competition Cycle was the last one performing maintenance on my bike and I wanted to know if Competition Cycle would correct this in good faith for a new but loyal customer. I had only done 2,500 miles in those 3 months. Not a single problem. No leaks. No loss of oil. No reason to otherwise check, remove, or tighten the oil drain bolt. But it was coincidentally on the day I chose to do regular maintenance that I noticed it. Competition Cycles' manager understandably took the position of backing his 15 year veteran mechanic, and claimed that if the bolt was stripped, it would have been leaking. He said, "if you had to put that much force to remove it then something else went wrong." After several emails, he claimed that "there is no way my tech put that much force on an oil drain bolt" and claimed that I turned it the wrong way. So since we are at a stalemate, I'll give the $200+ for a new oil pan and gasket to another mechanic. That's just my choice. I stand behind the fact that I did not tamper with my oil drain plug, and Competition Cycle stands behind their mechanic doing it right. I'd only be bringing them more money for an issue I believe they caused. Had I done the damage, I am adult enough to own my error and pay a professional for the repairs rather than go through this, and now have to roll the dice with another mechanic. A smart businessman always backs his teams work, and I expected no less from Competition Cycle. They won't be affected by the loss of my business, but I won't do anything to direct business in their direction either. read more

was in today to get a rear tire for my chopper...280/35/18 is not the easiest to find. But they had a very good Metzler tire in stock much cheaper than anywhere online I looked, They mounted and balanced to perfection without any scratches to my crazy expensive wheel and had me in and out in under 30 minutes. I was fully expecting to drop my rim and have to return for it later as I rolled in the door at 4;45 and they close at 6pm... called to ask about getting a valve stem repaired on my motorcycle. I was told to make an appointment online for the same day at 1:30 PM. I asked the service person how long it would take approximately to fix a stem he said 1.5 hours. I got there on time and checked-in. The service tech came in, received the paperwork work order for my bike and then asked for a half-hour break which he was granted, during my schedule appointment time. I had a friend meet me at the shop since we are going to attend an appointment later in the day. I had him left since I did know how much longer it would have taken to have my bike repaired. It took two hours for a valve stem replacement. I could not attend my appointment in the afternoon. My advice is don't take your bike here. So, much for thier online appointment system which automatically set me back a half-hour since they allowed the tech to take a lunch break at my appointment time. You figure that they would not schedule an appointment at the same time the tech takes his lunch break. You're better off taking your bike someplace where you could leave it and come back and pick it up anther day. This is my last trip to Competition Cycle. read more

I ordered two tires on Monday. Called on Friday to make sure they are there, asked what time I should be there. I'm from west palm beach and need to wait. I'm 50 miles away. I was told be there at 9 am we will have you in and out. When I got here there were three motorcycles in front of me at the locked gate (8:45am)that needed tires to be installed on their motorcycles. I was the second person in line in the building. I have two brand new Harley Davidson mag wheels that need two tires mounted and balanced, that's it. it's literally a five to 10 minute job. It's 2:10pm and they just took one wheel back, after I had a fit. Absolutely no customer loyalty or common sense on how to get a customer in and out that has been coming to this place since 1999 and referred many of people to come and purchase tires here. Their work is good and always has been, but to make a person wait almost 6 hours for a five minute job is absolutely insane. I work for an automotive dealer so I understand how it works. It would be like coming tweet automotive dealership for an oil change and being told that the technician has two brake jobs in front of you and the wheel alignment so you're going to have to wait six hours to get a five minute oil change. Anyway, the tires are done they did a good job and this is the first time I've had a bad experience since I've been coming to the store since 1999 On a good note, the people were very nice to me. read more

Competition Cycle has been a Dania Beach business icon in since 1972. I recently came here and purchased a motorcycle cover. It ended up not fitting the motorcycle so I brought it back for a refund. Competition Cycle gladly honored the refund in full. I came back a few days later and purchased a new rear tire. They had the tire I needed in stock and mounted and balanced it in their service department. It took a scant 45 minutes! Schweeeet! They have full time in-house motorcycle mechanics. As luck would have it my battery dies while I'm there LOL! So I purchased a new battery which needed to be charged before installing. Waiting at Competition Cycle is eazy breezy! Their showroom is packed with all things motorcycle.... I went aisle to aisle checking out the massive inventory of apparel, helmets, tires, parts, accessories, etc., etc. I ended up purchasing a handlebar iPhone holder! I'm a prior customer, and was attempting to come back from Naples to give them more business on a set of tires. Phone call started with "why do you want a quote" from manager named Gabriel. Then I hear him saying hello, hello to someone else a couple of times I thought, but was apparently it was for me. I finally ask if he meant me. He snaps with "yes you". I ask him why he is being rude and he replies "ok, let's start over". Finally get to quote and it's $40 higher than quote I received from their shop last week. I ask him why and he says because of the rear wheel. I ask what about the wheel is special as its a stock wheel (per their website). He replied with "it just is...I asked the mechanics". Ask to speak with his boss and he says he doesn't have one. It's their right to charge what they want as its a capitalist country, but there is no way I'm paying someone to be rude. Hate to think what dealing with them on a warranty or complaint issue would be like. To each their own, but I would highly recommend avoiding Competition Cycle. The people at Competition Cycles were great. They helped me out of a jam...I got a flat on a Sunday morning and I still had over 300 miles to my destination in St. Augustine, FL. Tito from AAA took me to Competition and they had the tires (I had them change both), a good price, and I was in and out in an hour. I was the first on the service list so that helped. Sat in the comfortable chairs, played pool and browsed their good selection. They saved my trip and I got home just in time to get rained on...no worries, at least i was home. I was recommended this business by an associate and after my experience with them I am satisfied. I showed up 15 min before opening on a Saturday and by the time they opened there were about 5 people already waiting for service. I was second in line. They gave me a reasonable price to replace the tires on my 2002 Honda shadow VLX 600. My bike was ready by about noon. I bought my bike cheap and used so they gave me a quick evaluation of some evident repairs I need in the future. It's my first motorcycle so I didn't know about fork seal leaks, carb leaks, and other minor gas leaks lol. Hopefully my bike doesn't explode by the time I can afford repairs. Don't bring a Harley here to have tires put on. After two hours waiting was finally told they had a problem because they didn't have the seal for my tubeless spoked rim. Told them to go ahead and put a tube in it. Took another hour and a half to get done. 4 hours to get tires on a bike. No apologies from any of the staff. I've been going there so long that I can still remember the numerous dogs laying around inside. Not sure if that was a previous owner. It used to be a really raw store with dogs laying all over the place and dust everywhere. They made a great effort in cleaning it up and making it look like a professional retail store. Great helmet selection and good prices on just about everything. Another nice touch is the effort they do in helping solve problems and order special parts. Because of the great investigative and research assistance they provide to their customers, it sometimes takes a long time to get rung up for an item, such as a quart of oil. It could take 20 minutes of standing there while they talk to someone else, just to pay for it. That's a little frustrating. But, when I'm the person who they are spending time doing the research for, and it's someone else standing there waiting, I'm a happy guy :) read more

They have a great selection of Helmets of all price ranges and Duke is the guy you want to talk to about helmets... he knows a lot! All the prices of everything I have bought there (tires, helmet, grips, jackets and more) over the last several years, have been below what I could have bought them for online, no shipping costs AND you can try them on and see the quality ... which you can't do with stuff purchased online!
