Hi my name is Tammy Schenk and I never got to see Bsa Compassion Home Care was like because my family doctor who used to be Amy Stovall would not write orders for leg wrapping and but doctor Amanda Trout at Advanced Pain Care fax orders Bsa Compassion Home Care for me to have physical therapy and the orders from Amanda would not work and Bsa Compassion Home Care didn't want to deal with me and I never mean to upset or harass or cause anyone problems or troubles and and I am sorry for calling Bsa Compassion Home Care way too many times. I am really not sure why I could not at least get physical therapy from Bsa Compassion Home Care or why Bsa Compassion Home Care dose't want to deal with me but I will never suggest Bsa Compassion Home Care to anyone. read more

I am giving one star because I am not able to give zero. My parents have both had many health issues since the beginning of the year. We thought we could trust Compassion Home Care to be there and help with their daily care. They've complained in the past that they were understaffed but today they called to say they were giving 24 hours notice and cutting my parents off. One whole day to find new people to care for my parents. Horrible company who really does not go out of their way to help their clients. Nothing like leaving elderly sick people high and dry, huh? read more

The name of this company should be "Incompassionate". I hired them to sit with my dad who has Alzheimer's while his regular sitter is off on the weekends. On only the second day, they showed up 90 minutes late, and then left 30 minutes later! My dad didn't get breakfast that day. Later that day, they were supposed to get him fed, showered, and prepared for bed. The next am, our regular caregiver found him lying in his living room floor fully clothed and asleep in a fetal position, lying in his own waste. I called "Compassion" this morning first thing, left a message with the director, and she called me back - 7 hours later. By that time, I had decided that this company was completely out of touch and I couldn't try to use them further. I politely told Brandy this and she was completely unapologetic and strictly business. Don't be fooled by the name - these folks don't know what "compassion" is. This company recently took over the personal assistants business at Park Place retirement community. the transition was not smooth at all. The quality of care is nothing like the previous even though many of the same care givers are now working for Compassion. The employees often bring a new employee with them to train, which takes away from the personal interaction with their customers. they often tell their customers how unhappy they are with the company that keeps my mother upset all day. We were told that my mother's account would be debited twice per month and we would receive an invoice before each draft.. This was not the case. My mother's account was debited for 1.5 months at one time and we did not receive an invoice before the debit. In fact it took me several days and 3 phone calls before I received an invoice. The invoice was not correct when I received it. in addition they debited my mother's account under the name Camden Bay without notifying us that that is the name they would use to draft. I was just about ready to stop payment with the bank, because I thought it was fraud. Communications could be much better. I have personally spoken with the CEO on several occasions and expressed my dissatisfaction. It is my belief that many of these problems are due to poor management. the company would have DC been wise to hire a consultant who specializes in transitions. to help them. I would think twice before hiring this company to care for your loved one. read more
