Knowledgeable and happy to explain…read more We used Bennett Home Inspections before you moved into our newly built home in Orchards. Geoff was excellent at explaining what he would do, how he would do it, and what it would be mean for us. He was on-time for our meeting and inspection and maintained a good line of communication during the process. Once he was done he took the time to not only explain the findings but the report and how we could use it to its fullest. The report is provided as a website, which allows it to be very thorough and easy to navigate once you get a guided tour. He helped us understand what we needed to take the builders, provide detailed documentation of issues that need to be addressed, and afterward checked in to see how it all went. Our home is in a New Construction development as such all of our neighbors are in new homes built by the same builder. While few have had any serious issues come up we have heard them gripe about small things that were not noticed or taken care of before moving in. The resulting work to correct the problem has created headaches for our them. When they do gripe I can't help but think of how we've had very few issues (knock on wood) and feel like Geoff had something to do with that. In short, I have no regrets about hiring Bennett Home Inspection and feel it has been well worth the money saving us time, inconvenience, and peace of mind.

He made every effort to accommodate our new construction home that ended up not being completed on the day he arrived. So he inspected what he could and then came in on his day off and finished the inspection once the house was 95% done. He was very thorough, communicative, and answered all my questions. Very knowledgeable and professional. I have total peace of mind after reviewing the inspection with Cody and getting his opinion on areas that needed repair. He also provided same day reports which were very easily accessible online, fully documented and explained. I found the interface easy to use and I liked the feature that allows you to compile a list of repairs you can send to your realtor and builder. All in all, highly recommend. The 5 star reviews are the real deal for these guys!

We were also impressed at just how much he covered, as he inspected our future home during the COVID pandemic and only had a limited amount of time in the owner's home. As first time home buyers, it could have been overwhelming and confusing for us to receive information about everything in our potential new home but this was not the case with Andrew's style of home report. He had everything broken down into sections with photos and diagrams, which were extremely helpful for someone who doesn't know the trade terminology. In addition, he added labels to each recommended repair that told us if it was an urgent issue or more of a long-term maintenance issue as well as what kind of professional to contact if one was needed. All of these details have been incredibly useful to us after we've bought the house. We used the report to make a to-do-list of repairs and, honestly, I'm not sure what we would be doing without it. I will definitely be calling Andrew again the next time we buy a property. Couldn't recommend him more!
